Games like that aren't really my cup of tea, but I just gotta say that this TASer is really prolific and it's great to see that she produced a longer video. Keep it up lady.
According to some technical guy, this game doesn’t use mode 7 at all,instead it renders mode 7 trough software,i guess it was done sothat objects such as trees and castle could be scaled trough it’s builtin modev7 to get around that, But the reason why that statusbar takes lots of space is to boost performance because the snes cannot stream graphics trough cpu fast enough trough it’s DMA or HDMA because of it’s limited bandwide,wich is the same reason why fx games such as starfox runs in a smaller window size, The snes could only stream graphics very fast trough it’s ppu,so if we want to have a multi layer mode7 background on snes,we have to take comprimises with a lower speed and a smaller viewing area,poor nintendo🤣
As someone who holds this game in a special place in my heart, it warms said heart of mine to finally see it get the TAS treatment. The many hours back in the day when I owned it on an SNES trying to figure it out, but chilling out to the music, made my childhood great. Amazing job well done.
