Somehow, for the Dolphi 4 and 5, the ovangkol/maple stripes neck sounded fuller than the traditional wenge+ovangkol or the full wenge neck like in the new ones. Maybe because the whole instrument sound is around the ovangkol body. I don't know what if the Thumb NT series basses get a full bubinga neck for their bubinga body? Because the traditional Thumb NT basses had wenge+bubinga neck, or later ovangkol and now they have the same multi-laminate full wenge neck like the Dolphins. Maybe a pair of full bubinga Thumb NT and a full ovangkol Dolphin NT would be the best custom shop demand...
My absolute dream bass. It seems to blend the best of the thumb and streamer. Also explains why it's twice as much haha.
This and the infinity are the best Warwick bass ever !!! love it !!!!! <3
I had a Dolphin 4 years ago, and sold it to fund a nice used Dolphin 5. And, ain't found one yet. Maybe one day.
Dude you make it look so easy.
