    Soke used to say every technique he taught could be used in a bathroom stall or on an ice covered parking lot at night because this is where most fights happen, not in a ring or even an octagon.You may have to fight multiple attackers with no rules.These are the kinds of guys that can break a man's arm, then compound fracture it(bone through skin)then twist and rip the arm from a man's body and beat him to death with his own arm. These things were done to gain a reputation long ago.Now its KI.

    they kick behind the groin so the muscle where the ankle and shin connect can hit it, but the whole not feeling pain part isn't a complete art in its own its more just being aware that ur gonna get hurt and allowing ur body to be ready for it, lk have sumone punch u in the arm er sumthing and get ready for it b4 they hit, and it won't really hurt at all

  • @Rhythmicons

    I train in a style in which the highest ranking members and founder trained with Prof. S. and was sponsored by him for national reckognition. I have seen some of this first hand and it is legitimate. Being effective on the street, Id say definately. If you can take a hit, you can survive the encounter. This is hardcore training, not everyone reaches that level. A lot of those guys from the 1970's died young too. Extreme training. I wouldn't want to fight someone that can take a hit like that.

    This is the power of suggestion. In one tv show a lady passed out after being kicked full bore over the heart. Her instructor said, "she was so relaxed she fell asleep" - she most likely had a transient arrhythmia. Notice they never thai kick to the head, or hit knock out zones in the brain. The rest is pain management and knowing the punch is coming. The man with 4 hits equals no head movement at impact, no chance possibility of a concussion. Testicular torsion could occur in dudes. Bad.

    @woteva6891 I train in Juko Ryu Aiki Inyo Jujutsu and it is really something you must train at for years. My sensei has done some things that has really tested the human body and how much power is really inside oneself to control the feeling of pain and othe discomforts. I can tell you for a fact this is no joke and that through hard training and mental discipline you can achieve more than you ever thought possible.

    this is a really good point, and the reason i favor my hung gar studies over MMA where MMA is unrealistic on many levels, one majorly is the ground fighting aspect. although many take downs,throws can and are realistic if application is taught properly, rolling witha guy on the ground in a street fight is the quickest way to get killed.
    thanks for pointing these things out shark, i try to explain these to UFC fans, but most cant see how MMA is less adapted for life death scenarios

    Wonder what long-term damage occurs from consistent blows like that. Not much different from hard chi-gong stuff though - circus tricks really, but still quite impressive.
    Didn't see any 'dim-mak' there, but that's chinese anyway - Judo/ki are Japanese terms.

  • @kkirT
    @kkirT 17 лет назад +1

    I'd like to see the translation of the japanese doctor's explanation, but really if this form of defense was effective in real fighting situations, you'd see it all the time in MMA, law enforcement and army training.
    It's obviously too good to be true.

  • @shark61111
    @shark61111 16 лет назад

    They don't always know when or where they will be struck. Some demo's use blindfolds. Soke even blocks punches blindfolded. Sometimes at a demo, a guy like you will punch a KI-man in the face instead of the solar plex, it really makes no difference to one of his top guys or himself. What you are seeing here is a DEMO. This is by no means the limit of Soke's capability. I know one of his teachers was Shihan Soke Tomah. If I remember right he was made Soke by the Okinawan Sokeship board.

    If you hit a place enough times, you can start to lose feeling in it. For example, a pro kickboxer can take more leg and body kicks than someone who has never received one, but getting hit in the jaw will still turn them out. There's a reason he wasn't taking hooks to the face.

    How would Gracie deal with multiple attackers? He can't leg tackle them all and wrestle them into a submission hold for 5 or 10 minutes. How would that work in a bathroom stall? Could he leg tackle you in a bathroom stall and wrestle you into a submission hold or would he actually have to fight? How about an armed assailant? Someone with a knife maybe? What if there were no referee's and after he leg tackled the person they snapped his neck before he could wrestle them into submission for 5 min.

    "Ki" doesn't protect you from anything. You can train pain tolerance, you can train muscle on most parts of your body to protect you and bones get sturdier if they get damaged. But you can never train yourself to absorb physical trauma without consequence. Cro-Cop broke two ribs on Wanderlei Silva with kicks. No ki in the world can make you absorb endless body blows, no matter what your McDojo instructor tells you.
    Oh and Tim, there are countries outside the United States, look it up.

    Although these guys are able to take hits i think they can still get knocked out against a professional fighter in a ring or cage. ie (boxer, kick boxer and mma. They would probably be slower on their feet as well because they need a strong stable base to abosrb those attacks.

  • @tohst

    Cool party trick. I'm not volunteering though, nothing in the current MMA or fighting metagame is really pain related at all and I very much doubt that this reduces actual damage taken from heavy hits or prevents them from reducing your combat effectiveness (hence why no face/jaw demos etc.)

    Genki wasn't paid for this. In fact, the Soke has a $100 bill in his pocket for anyone who can put one of his KI-Men off his feet. He has been carrying that $100 bill for 30 years, no one has collected it yet. Black Belt magazine called Soke an animal because he will fight anyone bare knuckle to the knockout. The Soke laughs at people like Genki. He calls their arts "pitter pat" Karate. Soke says if a fight lasts more than 10 seconds, neither one of you know what your doing.

    Soke Sacharnoski also knows Motobu Ryu Toide or Palace Hand. They trained to fight men in full armor. This is actual battlefield techniques as they were originally practiced. This is why you wont see them in UFC or K1.What is taught today is not the Karate of ancient times but sport karate. Dr. Sacharnoski,Soke is one of the few teachers today that teaches a non sport based system.Motobu Ryu(AKA Go Ten Te) is the oldest Ki art in Okinawa.Juko-Ryu techs. can be used against multiple attackers.

    Nothing shady. No time to prepare needed. I have seen this done in a live situation hundreds of times. No tricks or gimmicks. Soke is the first person who wasn't a member of the Okinawan Royal Family to be taught Toide, the Royal Art of Okinawan Kings. Toide is a total art, including Soke's Combat KI.Soke has put on demo's at Madison Square Garden with Heavy Weight Champ Boxers doing this. Not one of his Ki-men have ever been down. Genki found out quickly how real this is.

He holds multiple 8th and 9th dan rankings in Jujutsu arts. Words are cheap mueythaibaby1. You say you would "take him down ,ground and pound" because of his "poor grappling ability". Mueythaibaby you are arrogant and have no respect.IF you have ever really trained you haven't learned much. Lesson #1=respect

  • @Rhythmicons

    The guys who are doing this are all advanced students. Don't think that this is the extent of their training. All of this is supplimented with regular Karate and Jujitsu training. What you are seeing is worst case scenario, if someone manages to get in that close, if they have penetrated all of the other defenses or get caught totally off guard, they are prepared to take a hit.
    Anyone who has ben training 25 years in Karate has more tools than you can possibly be aware of.

    All you are seeing are these guys taking shots to vital areas and judging them solely for that. Your training should tell you that in itself is a pretty worthy feat. I doubt that you can take a full power shot to the throat or groin.
