I currently have 114k miles on my RAV4 LE AWD. It’s really not an SUV, more of a tall/large hatchback. The mpg is pretty good for a non hybrid. I did the start/stop delete mod (basically unplugging the wire to the hood latch switch and turning off the notification). I haven’t had any major issues so far. The stock Dunlop tires failed internally at 45k miles. They were thumping really badly. The suspension bushing are squeaky in cold weather.
Holy heck! I'll have to say that I sat in one at the Dallas Auto Show. I guess it wasn't as nice on the interior as I thought it would be but acceptable. Again, quality is what you buy a Toyota for. Except the Prius which is a beauty.
Excellent choice Rob. My wife drove a 2015 model for 9 years, no problems at all. We passed it on to my daughter that’s just starting her adult life. She drives quite a bit and still no problems. One of the best vehicles on the market for reliability and convenience bar none. Although, my mother just broke the mold and decided on a 2024 CRV over a RAV4….go figure.
Great, can't wait to see what you do. I have one that is lunar rock color, mostly city driving averaging about 30 mpg. seen a few that are heavily modded and they look really cool !!! Hope you keep it awhile so i can see the mods!
Aloha Rob. This is a great trade for you as the RAV4 is a great midsize SUV with great power and space. The size is decent, but Toyota needs to improve the seat angle position where it provides discomfort from long traffic drives during heavy traffic hours.
I just bought a 2024 RAV4 Limited. I’ve had two Highlanders prior to this but had no use for the third seat. So far, quite happy with it. PS…. I also have a 2021 Tacoma Limited & have been lurking around your channel for three years.
crazy enough I was going to buy a voodoo blue rav in place of the tacoma, since I was looking to get better MPG and I felt like it would do all I need for camping/trips. Couldn't find any during my search so went with the only other vehicle Toyota offers with amazing MPG....the tundra! Awesome to see another vehicle on the channel, cant wait to see what you do!
Wow Rob, that Prius didn’t last very long, I do see a lot of RAV4‘s on the road must be a reason sure seem to be priced pretty decently as well, looking forward to see what you do to it I’ll stay tuned👍!!
@@robmotivetoo Yes indeed Rob you do see a lot of those I’m sure you’re gonna love it, I wouldn’t even consider a Prius because of my height, like you said there’s probably isn’t much room in there in the Prius that is, The RAV4 makes more sense just use a little bit more fuel.
Wow Rob. As you know we just got Trish a camry le. Lower trim level. But it's got the smother ride with the fat tires, not low profile tires. 2.5 . And wow it don't have auto start, stop. A plus rite. And a foot park brake. But only about 3 or so grand less than you rav4.😮
I have had 3 RAV4s since 2018. 2018 XLE on lease which I turned in to get the 2020 XLE. Then it was in a total loss accident. I ended up getting. 2022 Limited after that. I drove a total of over 150k on these 3 cars and can claim to be an expert when it comes to RAV4 consumer review. You can’t go wrong with it. It does have cabin noise but then it’s not a Lexus. Sadly, the price has crept up and the market (post covid) has never been friendly to buy a new car. Toyota has been premiumizing its cars too. But if you really need a reliable, highway cruiser, economical and easy to maintain car, then go for it. I personally, have my eyes set on 4Runner though but I never go off road and it’s kind of hard for me to convince myself into buying a 4th rav4 (Toyota ain’t paying me any yolo knucklehead mindset rewards either)

Rob I bought the same car with the XP package. It was 35'000. I get 32 mpg in the city. It has nice wheels and tires all blacked out.
I definitely need to do something with the wheels!

Nice!!👍
My oldest and youngest stepsons love their rav4s. Oldest traded his Subaru for it after his head gasket went.

Lol! I’d say you chose a comparable vehicle😁
RIP Prius. Kinda saw this coming since the channel name change. Hope to see the return of the Prius in the future.
I do really like them. Maybe the Prime someday.
@@robmotivetooHow do you trade a brand new car without being upside down on the loan? You only had the Prius for about 3 months
@PHILLIPS8822 I don’t do loans.

I had three of them around me on the road today! They are like the Tacoma...everywhere!!

Those are nice wheels! You want to get rid of them? I can see getting a beefier tire perhaps?

Good choice, economical good all around vehicle.
Yes indeed!
Can’t wait to see what you are going to do
Should be fun! Something different for me!

Sounds like a new RAV4 is in your future!!
Get those Videos coming! I need CM on full time editing duty, keep the the Mcdonalds Coffee going!
Lol! I’m a one man show!!😂
I like Rav 4 good heads think alike
How can you AFFORD so many new vehicles? You must have quite a large insurance bill! Are your vehicles a tax right-off?
My dad has one with the v6 and he loves his.
I bet the V6 goes!
They don’t make a V6
What happened to Prius?
Stay tuned.
Uhnnn, you bought it or you lease?
CONGRATULATIONS 😮
Seriously what is the insurance for 3 vehicles in south texas?
There is no set number. Many variables affect an insurance rate.
I daily drive a 2017 RAV4 LE.
Nice. What do you think of it?
It’s nothing fancy but it has plenty of room for getting groceries and is very reliable.
WTH? Toyota puts a driver's side grab handle on the RAV4, but not the new Tacoma?! 🤦🤦
Go figure!
No more Prius?!?!?
Stay tuned.
Rob you are going to live the Rav we have 2. My wife drives a 2017 and the 2nd one is a 2010 Rav 4 with only a 74k on it! Congratulations!
I’ve been looking at them for years. Great midsize SUV👍
