I live in NW Tucson, which has some country back roads and hills that I do drive often. My gas milage since August and over 6500 miles is nearly 34 MPH, not bad at all. No rattles of other noises, but yes the auto stop/start is annoying. I have seen a way to disable it online, but I don't want to take a chance to set any codes or set off anymore beeping sounds (we get enough beeps with Toyotas as it is!).
I appreciate these snippets. Helping me decide on gas vs hybrid. For example, hybrid for city drivers about 40 MPG, has more power too. Also 8 spd transmission vs CVT. I think they don't have the start-stop in those either? It's more of smoother switch like your Prius? 🤙
The auto start/stop situation is handled very easily with memorizing a 2 button start. First, hit the start button, then hit the auto start/stop button EVERY TIME. Say, out loud, something like, “One, two, buckle my shoe” or “One, two, blastoff!”. After a while, it will become automatic. Do you have any idea of the size of the oil filter socket that you need to change the oil filter? The adjustable one I have is way too big….
Auto start/stop is a total scam designed to pass EPA regs. No real benefit in the real world. Other than that your Rav4 looks pretty impressive. Good choice!
My 2024 Limited has a irritating vibration or rattle in approximately the same area. I thought it was by the moonroof. I seem to be able to stop it by pushing on the roof liner above the drivers seat. Also, for whatever reason, my Limited didn’t end up with the start stop function. I’m grateful for that!
I sold my Tacoma and took the profit and paid off my other truck and now i am looking into a brand new 2024 Rav4. Thanks for the video! I like being debit free BUT these Rav4 sure are nice!

I agree Rob. The new Rav4's get top marks.
Got a 2024 RAV4 XLE Premium in mid February. I love it. I’m getting about 28 mpg.

I average 28 mpg. I also have the same rattle.
Bummer on the rattle! It drives me nuts!
Above 4 months on an LE. Getting 30.8 mpg combined

It’s a solid choice!
Wait for the new generation if you are willing. That should be a mighty improvement. Anyway I’ve got the top trim 2024 Rav.
If you do more local driving you should have gotten a hybrid not much more
You need to put a lift and big tires on the RAV4 instead of or addition to the Taco.
No...not for me.
What's a better Suv Toyota Rav4s or Madza Cx5
RAV4 for me.
@@robmotivetooI agree, but right now I think that you can get a better deal on the Mazda. And Rav4s have CVT transmissions were the Mazda doesn't.
Sounds like you already made up your mind.
@@robmotivetoo No not really
Jam 👍👍👍👍
Auto stop is there to decrease the life of the ignition system. LOL I’m kidding right?
😂
Wish all you rav4 affecionoidos would bring up all the hybrid corrosion issues (cablegate). Buyer beware.
I don’t have the hybrid.
2024 has addressed that for all you North Americans.
