Hi Dan love all your videos but this one makes me cringe a little . that panel is made to blow out when the air bag goes off. you just changed it by adding screws to the bottom, does it change the direction of the air bag, do the screws become projectiles.
Are you sure it doesn't blow directly through the cover? If not the rubber will rip right off and leave the screws in the plastic.

Thank you brother, I think you may need the wire harness for the limited door cards. sometimes people add the limited cards on a Laredo and forget to add the wire harness that goes to the courtesy lights

Hi Dan, I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited, thanks to your video on how to repair the VIC, I was able to remove it and found those pesky cracked solder joints and thus reflowed them to fix my faulty coolant sensor warning. I also replaced the light switch with a new replacement from Quadratec, my lights were going wonky because of the dash dimmer slider. Anyway, I noticed after taking the dash covers off there is a lot of surface rust on the metal frame, should I be concerned about that? Thanks
Great to hear! , most dash board mounts get surface rust but never rot. Shouldn't be a problem but you're welcomed to being on some POR15 paint!

I'm gonna try this trick........i gorilla glued the dash flap and it only lasted a small while before popping back out....I'll use those self tapping screws, that'll hold down!!

I’d love a Dan H sticker! This project reminds me of my first XJ… I had an 86 2.5. It was such a great beginner… 4 wheels, 4 doors, 4 plugs, 4 wires, and 1 fuel injector. It didn’t have vent windows but I found one that did At Everett’s. Carefully harvested them and boom I had vent windows in my Cherokee like the “better” ones! So much fun to do little projects like this with a great reward.
