I have a love hate with the tall bodies also! I try to side with the idea that they are model framed like integrity dolls, because they’re tall also! Great video! It’s Mothers Day here in the United States and my daughter gifted me the two 2024 wheelchair Fashionistas dolls. 🩷 I’m in a power chair so they were a lovely tribute to me. I have already restyled the black doll’s hair and have to trim the ragged edges off the blonde Barbie’s hair. I will share a secret with you. My daughter is dating an exec at Mattel!!! Nothing serious but I might have “discounts” in my future.😂 You know, some of my favorite Barbies aren’t the expensive ones. They are dolls with lovely faces or restyled hair that I love. Oh and how I enjoy changing their clothing for the seasons. They bring beauty and joy and emotional support into my life. Thank you Arjen for sharing your answers with your devoted fans. 🩷🌷🩷
Note: I found the tall made to move body is perfect for the new Fancy Fun Hair Barbie (fuschia dress with pastel color long hair. Love her hair. Her head is kind of big and the tall M2M body is the right scale for her. Just saying. 😀
I love Licca too and Little Twin Stars are my favorite Sanrio characters!! I knew that doll existed but I've never seen her for sale. I bet she cost a pretty penny too. So jealous!!!😊😊😊
I share a similar “Barbie Drama” with the same exact Barbie doll you do. My cousin had her and I loved her so much, those hair 😍 the color, the length 🤩. One day my aunt decided to cut the hair😢and I was so disappointed. Of course as an adult I just had to buy her, finally all mine ❤. She is still in my top 10 barbie. One of the very first I purchased when I did not even know I was going to be a Barbie collector.
90s beach Barbie line is the best answer. My first doll is Sun sensation Ken and I want him in box. I definitely will have it again. I already have one from a later year in box.
First obsession doll memory from the Cherry Merry Muffin Dolls line. Sooo cutee. I was 4. I remeber the instant I set my eyes on her lol. I never really asked for any toys in my childhood, I would just welcome anything would come my way, but she was the one and only toy I actually asked my mom to get for me. Still have her ❤
I really wish they would release more dolls like the Far Away Forest and Haunted Beauty lines. I know they were meant to be limited collectors dolls, but it seems like we get so few good fantasy dolls. Yes, we have various unicorn style and dreamtopia dolls, and the Odile mermaids are gorgeous. But there are very few really good merdolls, and even fewer full fantasy designs outside of the handful of mermaids and fairies.
And I do regret not being an active collector when the forest and hunted beauty collection were coming out 😢 i remember being fascinated by their pictures on the magazines, but i was only collecting barbie from my childhood and silkstone at that point. Eventually, i bought the Dark Forest one, probably spent 250 for her 😬 She is a beauty ❤ and was a must for me. Totally regret not buying Medusa Barbie Doll, she is out of budget at this point.

The most overrated doll release is difficult since people are in varying steps to retrieving ones that would have been great to own but for quality comparison I think is the Halloween Costumes Barbie they would be put into new clothes definitely.
Omgeeeee my trauma doll is the same!!! And I did the same thing, I was soo distraught over my bald Barbie that my mom and I went everywhere to try to find her a wig... and as you know, back then, a Barbie wig really wasn't much of a thing 😆 BUT...... we found one! However, it had a permanent teal cowboy hat attached 😅 We bought it anyway, went home and my mom glued this horrible cowboy wig to my doll and the rest is history hahahaha
32:16 SAME ..the trauma with cut n style Barbie was too real.😅😂.i just thought it would magically grow back! I also defaced sun coloured Pocahontas and birthday barbie with blue ink pen..could not get it out.. trauma no2..trauma. As for my comfort barbie i have 3..its def hula hair Barbie ,jewel hair mermaid barbie and miami beach barbie ..just a glance of the glitter hair ,or sparkly tail or tinsel skirt gives me confort because it takes me right back..sparking soo much joy and happy memories. I enjoy your questionnaire- so quickly here are my responses 1- 9 A Barbie 10) Unpopular doll opinion- That Barbie lives better than I do (it's a matter of perspective) 11-13) Barbie 14) I have 150 total- 75 Barbies and 75 Kens 15) Barbie- So diverse and super beautiful 16) Barbie- Can get extremely expensive 17-18) Barbie 19) Neither- I do not like them at all 20-26) Barbie 27) Clothing quality for my dolls is very important to me 28) The 1970s Barbies and Kens are my favs 29 - 32) More Barbies, but I limit myself due to storage. I also build my own Barbie Dream Houses, so I have to control myself. I limit myself to 15 doll houses at a time. Thanks for always having such interesting challenges for us. I love how you answered these questions Arjen. They're fun and we get to least know a bit more about the dolls you have in your collection. My holy grail doll would be Jewel Hair Mermaid Barbie too. And I wish they would create Fashion Avenue collection clothes once more. I'd definitely splurge on those. The only 2 lines I am collecting are Barbie and Disney (Mattel). We had the same trauma doll, mine's the blonde one. I was able to get an unboxed one not on her original clothes but she's still in the best condition. BTW, I got 4 new dolls coming in August and will be getting my very first Silkstone which is the Gay Parisienne one and I am so ecstatic! :) Thanks for these videos. I will be getting more. lol. Nobody asked if you insure your collection. I think with 800, 300 in box, you must have extra insurance on your policy for them. I am just starting to wonder that myself if I should add insurance for mine, and save to a disc a pic and value for each doll, which sounds like a drag... Aw you're only 38, I just turned 50!!! Yup, born in fabulous '74! I had Pink and Pretty as a kid.

Tweens are cute. But i stopped collecting them because the latest ones don't have articulation or stands and their outfits aren't as good. Mini Decora Girlz have taken over for me when it comes to mini dolls.
