The Sync3 system doesn't support Apple Car Play.. having said that there are some 3rd party devices that you can use that would let you use Apple Car Play wireless on the Sync3 screen
Connect to your home wifi if your vehicle recognizes the signal! If you can't connect to your own router than you might need to search for an unsecured network

I do have a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. I just used the Apple Car Play for playing my music.

First time I've heard that one.. I'd take it into your Ford dealer to make sure there are no wiring issues
I have my 2020 Ford Escape since mid March 2022. I do have maps on it from my iPhone. Even using the Apple Car Play. My is in black.
