If my dad wasnt an artist I'd never have realised how openings of exhibitions are an almost untapped source of free drinks and food, used to just be wine but most have beers nowadays, I used to get too drunk and call people pretentious.
I call them that when i'm not drunk; because they are !
Going to a wine or beer tasting and getting black out drunk is a German tradition. (Bonus points if you go wine hiking. That means you go on a hike and at every winery you dink a glass of their wine.) I am so proud you experienced a bit of my culture.
