I believe so yes becausr this is probably the same thing as other smart hub that consolidate your infrared remote. For ir you need the device to be in line of sight to the ac
I notice this has to be plugged into the power, which wouldn't work so well as our AC unit is in a lobby area where there are no power points. Although it also seems to be able to control it from around objects, so possibly it could work from a close by room if the door is open... Would be better if it had a battery that could be charged and work for a month or two from that, or maybe solar or something.
I believe I have an issue with the thermostat in the unit. I set it to 25°C, and the actual room temperature is around ~20°C (I have a thermometer), but after 10 minutes, the unit's thermostat shows the room temperature to be around 30-31°C, and it doesn't provide much or any heat. Essentially, the AC sensor detects a much higher room temperature compared to the actual room temperature. If I use the "IFeel" button on the remote, it displays the correct (real) temperature. I used only the "IFeel" button, but after a while, it goes back to the unit's sensor. Can I use Sensibo for my problem?
I'm non-technical. Will it work through the app, bluetooth via my ipad or phone? My parents don't have internet and they are turning the heat on during the summer and think the unit is not working. I want to control the thermostat. Is this possible?
i have. carrier 40GRQB don't detect de carrier remote, chosin manual setting all carrier remote on app, don't work. unable to use it for control my unit
Say, if a family member turns on the AC by using the remote. Well, can Sensibo know that its already on? If not, if Sensibo attempts to turn on the AC, will it really just turn it off? (yea, sorry, I have some very non-technical relatives and don't want them to curse me. lol)
It does a pretty good job staying “synced” with the state of the A/C. I believe it senses the remote, too. If it gets out of sync, it will prompt you in the app. Pretty simple. It works so well, you’ll actually be surprised.
@@WeTriedIt Thanks. Have contacted their support to see what countries are supported. My guess is that the data is stored in the cloud and may not be available (legally or technically) everywhere.
@@darwinjinaI’ve been using Sensibo for quite some time now. To answer your question, the AC will not turn off if you try and turn it on again via the Sensibo app; the AC will make the beep sound but it won’t turn off.
@@WeTriedItWith syncing, the device does a pretty good job staying synced to the state of the AC. In the case that it isn’t, you can manually sync it in the app. Hope this helps. Cheers :)
@@ResilientPie bought one. As long as it senses the remote usage then it works ok. Over time, the family uses the remote since they can confirm settings like fan speed and mode. So I basically use sensibo now for monitoring although I was disappointed in the updated graph.
This is my patented invention this company stole it from me now they sell but I’m the inventor of this product (senair multifunction air quality control system). You guys forgot to add:air pollution sensors, smoke alarm, humidity they see are in my patent ..you guys stole some ..first time I see 4:58 a.m and I’m happy you created now I have to get my royalties
Can this connect to Home Assistant server?
Do you have to buy one for each AC or Can it control multiple AC ?

If all your ac units remotes are interchangeable, will the sensibo work on all at the same time????
If they are all in range of the device, yes. But that’s not super likely.
Does the sensibo unit require AC power or does it come with batteries?
You have to plug it in.
Will Sensibo have Matter support?
Can work with fisher a/c
So it is actually all you do plug it in the power and than just open the ac ? And is just conection done?
You also have to set it up in the app, but yup!

use big powerbank. solve your issue
So spend an extra several hundred dollars buying a power bank just for this... not ideal
Does it work with any split type non smart ac
It works with almost all of them, as long as you have a remote.
Can you used this whout being home to Control your ac unit from the app ?
It sure can! As long as your connected to the internet.
That's literally one of the biggest selling points
Can you configure it to auto turn on and off depending on the room temperature ?
Yes itvcan

No, the Sensibo needs internet to work. Maybe you could get them something like a motion sensor.
are you paying subscription for Sensibo? ?

How many ACs can you connect to one device?
Just one on each device
Fart detection is next level. Automated air freshener.

A lot of features behind a paywall now... Put mine in the bin
It’s micro-USB, not mini-USB (which is something altogether different, FWIW)
Cheap chinese product...I bought one and stop working like 1 month after buy...so bad...
Is it sensibo?
