Nice Josh, I just discovered and enjoy your channel. As a thought, maybe consider the Nikon 70-200 f/4. I use mine for landscape with my D850 . Sharp as a tack and I couldn't be happier. Also, look at the used market (New York Camera stores online), you can save a boat load of dough and many times what you get is like new.
I’m glad you are enjoying my content! I actually bought a Tamron 70-200 F/2.8 and love it. It was a hard decision between the Tamron F/2.8 and the Nikon 70-200 F/4. But I went with the Tamron for around the same price. My 24-120 I bought refurbished and it only lasted a year before the focus motor broke. So I prefer to buy new with warranties in place and I know I’m the only one who used it and I usually baby my kit. I do know a lot of people who buy used gear and they have no issues at all. I guess I was just unlucky.

Oh, and sorry you had the AF failure with the 24-120..... Hopefully the warranty covered it.
