What did you do to tune, that is the most important part that you’d left out.
You’re right I should have showed that. For this model, there is a hole in the front side of the black air box that gives access to the adjustment screw I show at the ~25:00 minute mark of the video. This accepts a flathead screwdriver to adjust the air/fuel mixture until the blower runs well at all three throttle positions. If I come across another of these same models I’ll be sure to show the tuning part.
I am surprised how little cleaning of that carburetor you did. You took it all apart and a few squirts of carb cleaner seemed well advised. Other than that, a nicely done video.
You had asked about the Chinese spark plugs. Ive seen them come apart where the center electrode pulls out of the threads. Ive also seen where the plugs wont seal compression which leaks between the threaded part and the porcelain. Stick with the NGK, Champion or Denso branded plugs. Also, alot of guys use the Echo fuel line (black nitrile) because its cheaper than the Tygon.
Great tips, thanks!
When putting in the gas lines I put grease on them only a tiny bit then went smooth into the gas tank
I usually end up spraying it with WD40 if I have trouble feeding them in, thanks for sharing!
What size torque bit and/or allen wrench to remove side of case? Thanks
I used a T25 Torx
