By reading this I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way, although due to the time difference I wasn't up to watch it live but wasn't too far behind and caught it on Stan sport. Then i watched the morning news all I seen was our national level sport aka rugby league, nothing on the world stage like what our amazing Aussie boys have done. Left it a few hours had a search online and found nothing, so I wrote/sent a facebook message to ch9 world wide world of sports and they put up a post a few hours later. But what I don't understand is the nt government is obviously throwing money into the mxgp world, hoping it increases tourism in the nt and this would have been a huge opportunity to showcase the mxgp and get Australians interested, just feel like it's a bit of a missed opportunity now.

At the end of the day we got treated to some of the very best riders in our generation - yes, Coenen, Sexton and Deegan were missing but their fill ins were no slouches. And you put them all on a technical demanding track in tough conditions and let them go at it. Like shaking a jar full of hornets. AMA boys showed so well putting 5 of the top 6 guys on the podium. But Tiga and Herlings and DeWolf and Prado and Renaux from the GPs and now add in surprise performances from Webster and Mewse... man it was just an awesome weekend of racing. We all bench race what would happen when top AMA guys really battle top GP guys and this weekend we got it all and it was fantastic. Can only hope next year at Ironman we have such a healthy field and the racing is as good. The Lawrence boys sure did you proud this year... kudos to the Aussies... maybe tougher go next year if Eli gets Chase and Deegan to put up their best fight with them. Bring on MXON 2025!

We kind of expect it from Jett, yet Hunter was probably more impressive. The improvement he's made this year is one of the most inspiring things i've ever seen.
I notice Kyle looked a bit TOO humble at the end 😄.Like he felt guilty for not doing more ? Mate you did great, and i hope you're on the team next year.
Speaking of next year i think it might be harder to back this up.We got a bit lucky that some big hitters under performed.

Was an absolute MASTERCLASS team Australia running Jett in the Open class and Hunter in the MXGP. For one it kept Jett clear of any MXGP rider comparisons/pressure (even though he had all the MXGP and US riders beat bar 1 in the final moto)...........We finished with our strongest race....instead of previous years....doing our best performances in the early motos....and a rubbish final moto. This year.............This year we got it BLOODY RIGHT!!!!!

That was awesome coming from an American.
I’ve had people tell me I shouldn’t root for the Lawrence brothers since I’m American…
Some people are just nuts and can’t appreciate greatness!
Hell I even saw Gasjer like someone’s comment saying “Jett who?”
Like bruh you got him last turn by trying to take his front wheel out.
Don’t try to act like he isn’t top dog right now.
Even Herlings saying he thought Jett should be faster.
Bruh he beat everyone minus a last turn parking move.
Great job Tomac and team USA as well!

Lars and Honda USA already had the actual Factory Honda Team of Gajser and Fernandez already in place to take care of them under their GP setup. The US Honda team goes home but Gajser and Fernandez get a couple days off and are right back into testing for the Factory Honda equipment that’ll be developed for the upcoming GP season. You guys are a year behind so give credit where credit is due.

I wish people could be sporting about the whole Jett vs Gajser, no matter who their favourite is. There is too much misinformation going around and daft comments about Gajsers pass. The first turn, Jett went wide and was around 12/14th. The next half a lap was hectic with people going all over the place. At the end of the first lap, Jett was in 6th (not 25th lol) sitting 6 seconds off the leader Prado and Jett was 2.5 seconds behind Gajser. Jett did amazingly well to get up to the front, but so did Gajser ! Their fastest lap times were within 0.2 of a second of each others. Gajser said that once he was in the lead, he could hear Tomac falling back and then set a sensible pace at the front that he thought would be ok. When Jett pushed up to Gajser, Gajser was clearly surprised to see him there. Good job too really, because we then got treated to an all out slug fest, with both riders on the edge having moments. Gajser lost the lead, fell back, caught up and passed Jett! Something nobody in America has been able to do! The pass was aggressive, but clean! Jett congratulated Tim at the line saying 'Great Pass' and the Media have echoed this! We can't claim either to be the best or fastest Motocross (Not SMX/SX) racer in the world , based on this one race! We would have to consider Gasjer in that debate, having just beaten Jett. At the end of the day, Tim had the speed to beat Jett and win this time, straight up, no excuses.......but, we got to see Jett the phenom AMA Champ and a 5 time World Champion, push each other to the limit in a race that will go down in history! We should all be celebrating the spectacle and looking forward to the next battle! I'm a fan of both riders!!
Tomac and Team Australia where fantastic........What a Nations it was this year!!!

This is why it makes it the best race in the world and a big thank u to every team it was amazing, as I said on the comments on Facebook the ticket prices where ridiculous and you could clearly see in The Spectators in 2006 when I was there 90,000 people plus yet only 30,000 at the 2024 it just shows you the greed and what they are doing to the sport.
