Great video. I just started my 6 month evaluation after researching the 5ers. I received my login credentials almost immediately after signing up. It is a $13000 LIVE account.
I'm Impressed at the level of thought that went into this prop firms model to allow a trader to accel. Very fair and reasonable way to find good traders and keep them. It's a win/win. Can't wait to get started soon!
This is an okay prop firm. I'm currently trading with them and yes, their exposure limit is REALLY tight. So if you trade really short term with tight SL's then don't even think that you're going to get to use a larger position size because they have a max amount of lots you can use. To me this is more for swing traders hence their tight exposure limits... longer challenge duration.... and ability to hold over weekends. FTMO is more so for day traders teetering on the aggressive side of the spectrum.
Thanks so much Etienne for having Sir Gil Ben Hur In your prog.one of the very rare person with actual trading wisdom.and so much to offer for the budding traders like me. Keep going Etienne and Sir GBH.
Yes... Turtle steps... will take many many months to complete the process... years to get at the top funding levels with such a tight DD but high profit target
It's a shame it's 4%. If it was 10% drawdown it would be more attractive. Also 40 minimum trades to pass evaluation. Not every trader takes 40 trades in a few months let alone a couple months. Everything else looks good
Hi... Does anyone know the average spread The 5%ers' broker usually apply on the EUR-USD pair (european and american sessions)? As my strategy is based on scalping this specific pair, the spread they use may have a huge impact (or not) on my results... Thanks a lot!!
Anyone funded by the 5ers? I finished my challenge on Monday and they said that it would take two days to get the funded account, but I still haven't heard from them. They don't reply to my e-mails as well. Not a good start with these guys......
@More Blue how is their spreads and commission? Are they high, low or average ? Let me know the cost of trade per a lot size. And some idea of some spreads on the popular pairs.

I dont really understand the 5% so if they fund you with let's say $50 000 you can't have a drawdown less than $800. So you cant take risk-based of 50k risk has to very very low!
Why price is moving the way it is? (Talked a lot about in the beginning). My theory in the forex world now (September-October 2020) is that a lot of currency pairs are at extremes. Either near highs or lows. Mainly due to dollar being weak and possibly the corona situation. So I guess most people feel that the price should move away from extremes and back to a mean. That never happens and someone drives prices up to the highs time after time and we get this zig zaging movement. Which makes the market very bad for a trend trader and good for a reversal trader. I used to not give a damn about support and resistance. Now I see they are respected time and time again. The situation is also the same in EURGBP even if is not tied up to the dollar. The way I see it is that Dollar has to make a comeback and then we will see better times for trading.
@@fredwallinder3543 The option that I picked gives me 8% loss. I've yet to see any where near that in the last 4 months so far. I think the worst drawdown I've seen so far on this account is 2.5%. I'm on week 5 with them specifically.
I think OK the drawdown .. -4% for 10% double acc ... or -8% for 25% double up....$400 USD .. very cheep nothing else to pay only 6% to get paid 6months to acheive 6% .. very easy
This firm is only for those who has a system >=70% . mathematically it is 66.6% however you need to add spread to each trade that will reduce profit. By all means trading is 50% probability game and some traders find an edge that 53% and above winning rate who can make money in the long run. Not sure the idea behind this firm which is seemingly mathematically not possible achieve.
If you are a day trader don’t waste your time with 5ers since they are objectives hard to reach and they just want the money upfront. Use FTMO, they are the best prop firm. Period.
They are simply different models. All prop firm objectives are hard to reach because they are in the business of making money if they gave money to any trader they will go bankrupt quickly. They handle their business in different ways. They both have their unique advantages and disadvantages.
Not really, the FTMO are rigged so you'll lose. Zero flexibility, if the daily drawdown is 5.00001 % then you're out. This shows that they're not interested in forming a trading community but instead sell the forex dream to newbies.
Yeah ftmo is marketed to new traders who don't actually know how to trade. Just look at their funded traders results and you'll see no risk management and gambling emotions and attitudes
I wouldn't trade with a company for long who keeps 50% of my hard earned profits. If you are a consistent, profitable trader, stay away from such offers. Not bashing 5%ers, just my opinion.

They are a good and fair prop firm. Definitely worth to take their challenge.
It’s nice to finally put a face with the voice. My goal is to trade for this company in the near future. Thank you for sharing.

Theabyss78Meditation that’s great to hear. I think this has the potential of being a great opportunity.
Great to hear this guy. Remember to keep your trading plan and execute it diligently always. Risk management is the key to getting a funded account.

Hey Etiene, did not see your link, but I mentioned your name and this interview when I signed up this morning and taking 1st trade. Cheer!

What happens if you violate the 4% draw down? do you get another chance? or the account is terminated?
In some cases, they can be flexible. But you'd still break one of their rules so they could close the account.

They complain that the spread is to high, is it?

FTMO is better BUT they don’t allow holding deals over the weekend which is the real deal.
They are not good for long term traders

Yes this is my opinion also
There is virtually no chance that a trader would be able to maintain a drawdown of less than 4% with1.5% risk per trade.
You can always reduce your risk per trade. For most prop firms, 1.5% is quite high!
@@DesireToTRADE Yes, but if you use say 1% risk and loose 5 trades in a streak you're out together with the handsome fee you paid for that pleasure.

i think FTMO is better !
Why?
no profit target in ftmo except during challenge...
ftmo profit sharing is way good compared to this..
the good thing with this i think is that you're trading a real money from the very start.
The thing with FTMO is that you cannot trade during week ends and news events. So if you are mostly a swing trader that is a deal killer imo.
