I have the widescreen VHS which I remember being part of the first batch of widescreen VHS tapes released on sell-through in the UK - Fox also did, if I recall rightly, Alien and the Star Wars Trilogy as part of that batch. I also remember my local video shop giving me a free hire of a making of tape of the original film. After that, I think I have part 3 on US laserdisc, picked up in a Cash Convertors for a fiver back when it still had no uncut UK release, then I got the quadrilogy DVD set (although it was in more standard packaging than yours) which I then replaced with a blu-ray set after Vengeance was finally passed uncut here.

So, you had the American DVD trilogy box set first, was it because Die Hard 2-3 were still heavily cut in the UK at the time? I have that same set as well, back when major studios cared about their home video releases.
Hi Gareth, Fantastic collection of the Die Hard movies & you have multi editions of each movie 😮so I’m guessing you’re a big fan, gotta be. Many memories of watching the first four movies when released at the cinema 😎can’t beat seeing a Die Hard movie on a big screen 😎
