    Thanks for the great reviews. Just to add to the review re customer service, there is none in my experience. I ordered from their US warehouse and they collected my money immediately. 4 weeks later it had not shipped and I asked about it. I needed a battery for a project. No response. I asked again a week later and requested a refund as I had to buy from somewhere else. No response. I opened an investigation with PayPal and then they delivered the battery to the shipper. I contacted them immediately and told them I no longer need the battery and requested a refund. No response. So, seven weeks after ordering I will be receiving a battery I no longer need or want and through the entire process they did not respond to a single communication from me. I would run away from this seller and look at the other batteries reviewed on this channel.

    It's nice to see the inside of that battery. I checked and made sure I got 100ah, so that was good but I did not tear it down. Cool review.

    Don't think I would want this in my home or property. Loose cables that's not acceptable. I know I could check them but then my warranty is out the door. Great job finding the pitfalls.

    Not fond of pouch cells. And definitely not fond of the build quality. But hopefully videos like this will encourage them to make changes. Nice work on this one.

    Oh man, those loose cables are awful! Those bolts are probably bottomed out and is maybe why they thought it was tightened correctly? But really common sense on their part should have caught that for sure.

      I wish my microphone was working properly during that to catch my reaction. I was shocked. I was able to tighten the screw down with an impact gun and fix it.

    At a first glance, it just looks like a cheap battery. Why in the world would you have to program the meter when you get it? Thanks for always digging into these! Never been a fan of pouch cells either.

      You're welcome, Prismatic cells are definitely preferred over poached cells.

    Same findings here with this battery. In addition to the bad build quality, one of the pouch cells was leaking eletrolyte 😲(maybe damaged during transport due to the usage of the soft foam), so i had to stop further testing and give my workshop a good ventilation.
    Second battery from GoKWH is on it's way, they seem to have learned and upgraded the build quality.

      None of the batteries I've had have leaked on me yet, I'm scared of the day that happens. I have the new one to just haven't gotten around to review. They are still selling the crappy one.

      @@Roll2Videos Well the good thing about that is: got some LiFePO4 pouch cell for experiments 🤷🏻.
      Jup, i saw that they still sell the crappy ones. If you do not move them like in a RV that should not be a big problem - could still be usable in a stationary system. But it‘s not a good policy - they should be upgraded with at least the stiffer foam pads.

    pouch cells should have a lower internal resistance compared to prismatic cells, but they also need to have proper compression to withstand higher discharge rates without getting damaged prematurely.

    1) I didn't see you confirm they are pouch cells. 2) if they are not pouch cells, and the price was low enough, I'd be tempted to buy them, disassemble them, and use them as part of a diy-type system. BMS seems fine if you can change the low temp setting.

    • @Roll2Videos
      @Roll2Videos  10 месяцев назад +1

      Sorry about that, In the clip that I captured showing the pouch cells I had a microphone malfunction and cut it short.
      They are indeed pouch cells and the low temperature parameter cannot be modified. It was a JBD bms that was about the only thing this battery had going for it. 🍻

      They used a JBD BMS but with the wrong parameter settings. The pack passed the capacity test. 🤷
