    I don’t think it’s dead. Just too many releases going on and not everyone can afford shoes anymore like the pandemic days. Economy is 💩 If you’ve noticed all the limited and hyped up pairs are doing well. The GRs that nobody really wants are the ones that are going at retail or below.

    • @ShisuiDUchiha
      @ShisuiDUchiha 6 месяцев назад +9

      Facts alot of people are actually just not financially stable to get every single release that comes out which just makes them be more selective anf most of the hyped releases resellers and bots get a lot of the pairs so people just feel like people just stopped trying apart from all that tho i think that people are starting to buy fakes or reps for cheap instead of wasting 400 on certain shoes or instead of buying travis scotts but with jordan i honestly just think people have shifted away from jordan in a sense that more and more shoes are getting light or recognition like the dunks and new balances and the running shoes jordan arent the only thing that come to mind or that people want nowadays times have changed

    • @itsADmyguy
      @itsADmyguy 6 месяцев назад +3

      @@ShisuiDUchiha completely agree 100%. I also think that OG Jordan’s will still do well. I’m focusing more on OGs than anything else. All the other releases JB is putting out are easy passes for me, just too many unnecessary colorways on the same models.

      It's not "too many"... it's the right amount. Anything that hurts the resale market and allows people to get what they want for a fair price is a good thing.
      Tons of people want GR releases. So many "Hyped up" pairs are just ugly ass collabs that only sell because of who is associated with them and how the hypebeasts make 18,000 videos and Shorts prior to release.

I don't necessarily want to see people lose out but if it means I wont have dramas skating a pair of dunks in the future then I'm cool with it. People don't want to pay these resellers out of principal. They are the reason we can't get the sneakers we want for the price we should be paying. Imagine people started buying up all the food at the stores and reselling it. Would that be cool? Nobody likes these type of people it's very selfish.
    Reselling old or refurbished sneakers is great but just buying up all the new releases so real customers can't get them unless they pay overs is real shitty. It's not just sneakers, even cars, watches, anything desirable and the public are over it.
    Jordan's sold out instantly so all these scumbags can make 20 bucks if that. Embarrassing. They are sad people who must be very lonely if they get a kick out of that. Infact I haven't seen a sneaker reseller who doesn't look like they live in their moms basement. It's pathetic. And RUclipsrs who hype this type of shit are just as bad. Society is broken it's all self. Where's the love at these days I ask you all?

    I always score I would abstain from giving my money to resellers but I couldn't hold it anymore. I bought 4 pairs of Jordan 6 retros from resellers on eBay. I probably didn't my money's worth in that I bought higher than retail price for shoes that have been worn by someone else. Since then no more. Now...I am smiling as the resellers market is dying and now I can purchase my sneakers straight from retail at retail price or less.

    It cycles. Itll go through an explosion when something happens to draw attention to sneakers and the masses jump into it. During this last wave we had Last Dance release, then the pandemic so people weren't doing some of their normal activities and there was a spotlight on sneakers. But all those new enthusiasts eventually buy so much or get bored and the market slows down. In 2011 when the Concord release garnered a ton of attention it became a great market for resellers that lasted for years. It was really just slowing down when the pandemic hit. In 3-5 years there will be something to put attention back on sneakers and cause masses to jump into it. And resellers will be back to grifting again. Just how it goes anymore. Enjoy it tho, its the best time to be a sneakerhead.

Ngl it's my first pair of Bred 4s but I do love the leather on them, they seem overall better quality than past year jordans as from what I heard it's close to the design of SB 4s. Also leather is so easy to clean which is always a win, one of my favorite shoes are the J1 high university blue and I just dislike how easy the suede gets dirty and how cleaning them damages the shoe (even tho it's a little). Overall great pair. I'm not saying it's a loss if you passed on them and even more if you have the 2019s but this is a pretty solid one. Cheers!

    Nike is mainly down due to the price. 225 is the standard for Jordan's that way to high. Nike running sneaker like air max tn are 185 retail. You could get a new balance for 150. Asics are going for 130. Nike need to make there sneaker more affordable. Adidas basketball sneakers are 120 and Nike book 1 are 150. Fix the price Nike.

    As an old head that doesn’t have social media or give a shit about what’s trending, I’m loving be able to walk into a shop and see 1s and dunks sitting. If the quality of materials was a bit better I might actually buy some. Nice to see ‘em sitting though

      Good day sir, so you mean you still don’t like buying even tho it’s sitting in outlet shops bcoz of the quality of material right?

      @@jaybesey7249 yeah pretty much, some of the sued dunks are nice but generally the quality of most GR dunks is terrible. Same with 1s, some have nice leather. I’d rather see em sitting on shelves in a shop then only available from resellers. But it is nice to be able to pick some beaters for retail

    The nike air 180 ultra marine is dropping this year.
    The tech challenge 2 & 4 also.
    There will be a lot of buzz around with us older sneaker collectors.

    They are literally giving that shoe away, this isn’t a cycle it’s a reckoning because so many of you resell sneakers and inflated the marked like never before, the sneaker market it never going back to what it was and that’s good for normal peeps bad for you and the resellers

    Along with the comfy sneaker trend I have seen a lot more people wearing running shoes casually. Younger running brands like on cloud and hoka have seen lots of success.

    How many times can you pop a profit on a pair of SB Dunks? It’s just an elaborate ponzi scheme with footwear attached. Eventually somebody is left holding the bag with a product that can only be liquified at a loss.

    It’s dead, all shoes across the board are falling. Nike has been releasing too many Jordan 1s/Dunks in samey looking colorways. Now you have all these lames rocking Jordan’s and the community oversaturated. What happened to supreme is happening to Jordan’s. No more hype. Just picked up some grails for $1,500 less than last year.

    Outside of the ridiculous inflated prices, the economy is also inflated so most people with normal lives and a full time job aren’t gona splurge 500 bucks on sneakers very often. Even though some 12 year old will comment still and be like “if you broke just say that”

    Pshh you cant fall off 💥Well ressell is dead in general why charge people 13x the price of rubber and leather its love thats put into this game that matters but in my opinion the prices are getting more unrealistic and starting to look like a dream price that ressellers want to achieve because there is no way these kicks should be costing everybody's rent money or full allowance stash or car insurance money lmao. Love you bro hope you and yours are safe 💯🙏🏾❤

    People are very desperate trying to offload their pairs they’ve been holding for sometime. They’re taking 100$ losses on most shoes, they keep undercutting until the shoe is 100 below retail, it’s quite laughable
