if you’re anime only, it’s really silly to say its the best at the moment. it hasn’t even touched the crazy parts. if you’re going by the manga, it’s outstanding.
The Lucci vs Luffy "fight" just starts with them crashing through buildings, fully transformed and that's the first time all (but Zoro and Brook) see Luffy's new form. The anime expands so much on the battles and side stories that are coming up are going to make this one pale in comparison, I think. And all the backstories are going to hit that much harder.

as some one who is only on egghead in the anime Egghead is so peak best arc. its just so much fun all the robots and the new art style it great being after wano cus wano has so much darker tones and sad stuff and some fun stuff but mainly sad and egghead has just been fun (we dont talk about kuma im too sad)
nah its really not that outrageous of a statement. egghead is easily the most hype arc, its also pretty lore heavy, its got the saddest backstory in the series, the pacing is very nice, + weve gotten to see more characters do things that we haven’t seen do in a while. idk by the time egghead is over i dont think itll be such a controversial thing to say that egghead is easily the best arc in the entire series
Anime Only's should expect good to PEAK episodes from hereon out; So much Lore, Action, stuff like that in Egghead. As a person catched up with the Manga, I am really excited to see Anime Only's experience all of this amazing stuff without being spoiled, like how we felt when we saw that stuff in the manga for the first time 😌

I think another way Egghead is so good in the anime is that Toei found some extremely effective methods of padding out the time without ruining the pace of the episode. One good example is the new endings and the Punk Records segments that act like mini SBS's from the Manga. All of this pads out the episode in a way that is unintrusive. Toei also started letting animators use padding time to flex with the animation.
This arc is definitely up there with the best one piece arcs but knowing oda and how consistently great he is every week I’m sure that he will surpass it
Oda set himself up for the resolution to be good no matter the outcome, either luffy wins against the gorosei forcing them to actively hunt him personally this time with Im or luffy loses and we are confirmed the supreme power of the gorosei and literally have to rescue the captain, he made the perfect dribbles he is literally free for an easy lay up that’s crazy I’ve not consumed onepiece like that on a chapter to chapter basis since fucking marineford (the post timeskip arcs were great as a full experience but very jarring as a weekly experience loved dress Rosa on my reread same for whole cake because they are better as a package)😭 oda was cooking nefariously
im not a big one piece guy i causly watch it here and there but the best arcs that ive seen is arlong park, enies lobby and marieford. When the strawhats are facing the main organztions and pirate factions its peak but one of my big gripes with one piece is the revolution armys and uncessary filler from diffrent islands i feel like they drag down alot of good arcs like wano, skypeia and alabasta but egghead feels totally diffrent like from SEGA video game
Breh egghead is gonna end soon and so far the only thing that came out from egghead is peak and some lore you should consider reading the manga it's so good you can still watch the anime tho
Imo, it has gone crazy, zoro vs lucci worst fight EVER, and oda keeps bombing us with an abnormous amount of infos in pratically no time. Also, vegapunk is really useless; the most intelligent man in the world doesn't know that there's a traitor in his house? And how can he look for the peace in the world if he contribuited to develope crazy weapons like mother flame and the pacifistas? The books of Ohara were truly a total no sense mess, and the order priorities of the seraphines were a chaos, everything looks really random and fast, i could keep going hours telling what's wrong whit this arc, but i think it's enough. As compared to pre time skip arcs, when protagonists took their time to bond to each other, to tell their stories and to relate to the world surrounding them, now one Piece, sadly, is a total mess.
Nah totally valid criticism. Egghead is up there for me as an arc, but at the same time you can’t deny it has serious issues that put it below Marineford and Enies Lobby at the very least. It’s kinda telling when the parts everyone enjoyed the most weren’t on Egghead during the action, it was the Law vs. Blackbeard, Hachinosu, and Shanks vs. Kidd episodes that stood out first, then the Kuma flashback. The stuff in between was pretty messy and didn’t make much sense from an organizational standpoint. Kizaru goes up, then back down for a couple chapters, then back down again, Zoro is somehow stuck stalling Lucci without going all out, Sanji deflects a beam from Kizaru and then immediately lets Vegapunk get killed, and the rest of the Strawhats get next to no screentime and relevancy and just serve as reaction shots to the action that the Monster Trio is doing. Not to mention Jimbei, the guy with the third highest bounty in the crew, doing literally nothing.

Not really. A lot of people say Wano is either great or terrible-there’s no in-between. Some may have recency bias, but maybe they just genuinely like the arc, and you don’t, which is perfectly normal. If everyone had the same opinion, it would be like we’ve been replaced by robots, because we’d all think the same way. Also, you're not that different from the fans you're criticizing. Some One Piece fans can’t handle any criticism, while others, like you (assuming), seem to want people to hate/dislike Egghead. Both sides of the spectrum are trying to force people to agree with their opinion.

I think your argument is disingenuous, and you were probably disappointed the arc didnt end how you wanted it too. But you may have your own opinion ofc

Well egghead comes after wano so it looks great by comparison. Wano was just such a disappointment.
Wano had flaws, but I think it’ll age well. The climax to that arc was so hype.
