Bethany! We’re so thrilled with this walk-thru of our service, here at D2D! I wanted to thank you, but I also wanted to share a tip that you might find useful: When you were copying and pasting your keywords, you had them all in a field and separated by commas. You can actually grab that whole list, commas and all, and paste it into the keyword field on D2D. When you hit Enter/Return our system will automagically separate each term after the comma! So no need to copy and paste one by one. :) Thank you again! We loved the walk-thru!

I published three bilingual illustrated chapter-books for new readers 10 years ago by working with my own imprint and a local printing company that set everything up for me--all they needed was the manuscript, translation, and pictures. So much has changed since then and I'm going to start self-publishing books. Hi thanks so much for your videos, super helpful. You didn't click Amazon for this D2D ebook because you said you went to KDP directly - why is that? Also when you later demonstrated the UBL it showed Kindle as one of the sellers and when you clicked it it took you to the book's Amazon page that showed all versions (ebook, paperback, hardcover). How is that possible if you uploaded to KDP directly? Thanks...
It was a very helpful video, however I could not see if there's a part in DRAFT2DIGITAL's ebook publishment that wants you to enter your bank account number so you can get paid. I know there is something like that here as well as in Amazon KDP. Maybe I just did not pay attention :D

Hi Bethany, thank you for the video but when you download the finished copy, in whatever format, ePub, Mobi, etc. the cover page does not show up when you open the book to read on a reader. How do you get the cover page to show up on your reader instead of just the inner pages?

Hi Bethany, Your video was really helpful. I just uploaded my Book to KDP in October as an ebook called Jamie and her Dog Pepper go to the Pumpkinpatch.. I have been struggling to covert the format from an ebook size format to a paperback format. I want to sell my book in paperback on Amazon, but, I am still working on it. I even hired a Guy to do the formatting for me and He can't figure it out either. I am going to try and do this Draft 2 Digital to see if I can get it to work. I wanted to thank you for all of your information. I am going to upload my book to all of the other places that you listed and hoping I can sell my book on those sites too. I do have a question, do you need to have a sellers permit to sell in UK and Canada? I know KDP will be sending me a 1099 at the end of the year. It becomes a problem to add images in word, when I upload the file to D2D, regardless of the format in which I upload it, the images are displaced, however the same file is published in kdp and it looks perfect, someone could explain to me what is the solution?

I did have one question though---will I still need to get my book formatted if I publish to Draft2Digital, or will it help format it for me? I keep hearing that it's important to get your book formatted so it looks like a 'proper' book, but I have no idea how to do that. Thank you, hope you have a great day!
Hey Emily, yes you still need the basic formatting, D2D is adding more the frilly stuff and a table of contents, but you still need to indent first lines, add chapter headers, etc. Here is video on formatting that you can check out to learn more: ruclips.net/video/jEbxLytRLm4/видео.html

i save my books on microsoft word...differently.......exanmple.......chapter 1 will be in deffrent microsftword then i open another word and save chapter 2.......so all chapters will be opened differently.....i think im not doint it right how do i arrange my book before upload thanks.

Hi, again! Congrats on the baby. I've tried uploading my manuscript to KDP today. However on both Kindle (Jpeg) and Paperback (PDF) manuscripts, the text from my exported "5 x 8" word document, is all over the place and certainly not suitable for publication. Do you have any idea why this may happen? I've spoken to Amazon and they are just as confused as I am!
Do you have to use their formatting? I am not fond of their styles, and I have mine being formatted with someone else? Can i just upload and distribute?

Should I not select Amazon even if kdp rejected my book? In other words my book is not published with KDP.
My editor has fixed some errors in my ebook. How do I upload the new one on Draft2Digital and replace the previous one?

I do have a question, do you need to have a sellers permit to sell in UK and Canada? I know KDP will be sending me a 1099 at the end of the year. I'm trying to upload cover art I just created for a project I've already started, but I don't see an option to change from the auto-generated cover to custom cover artwork file.

You don't, because D2D doesn't do print books, only ebooks at the moment.

It becomes a problem to add images in word, when I upload the file to D2D, regardless of the format in which I upload it, the images are displaced, however the same file is published in kdp and it looks perfect, someone could explain to me what is the solution?

I did have one question though---will I still need to get my book formatted if I publish to Draft2Digital, or will it help format it for me? I keep hearing that it's important to get your book formatted so it looks like a 'proper' book, but I have no idea how to do that.

Hey Emily, yes you still need the basic formatting, D2D is adding more the frilly stuff and a table of contents, but you still need to indent first lines, add chapter headers, etc. Here is video on formatting that you can check out to learn more: ruclips.net/video/jEbxLytRLm4/видео.html

i save my books on microsoft word...differently.......exanmple.......chapter 1 will be in deffrent microsftword then i open another word and save chapter 2.......so all chapters will be opened differently.....i think im not doint it right how do i arrange my book before upload thanks.

Hi, again! Congrats on the baby. I've tried uploading my manuscript to KDP today. However on both Kindle (Jpeg) and Paperback (PDF) manuscripts, the text from my exported "5 x 8" word document, is all over the place and certainly not suitable for publication. Do you have any idea why this may happen? I've spoken to Amazon and they are just as confused as I am!
Can One also upload it individually to each platform? Cuz that service will cost .
Do you have to use their formatting? I am not fond of their styles, and I have mine being formatted with someone else? Can i just upload and distribute?
