The line "kissing on my bussy" just RUINS any chance this song would get airplay on regular radio OR be taken seriously. But more importantly, the term "bussy" is an extremely insulting and emasculating term for gay men. Men can love men and have been doing so without needing to be compared to women or their body parts since mankind began. Just stop feminizing gay men and let them be men loving other men. No wonder country music thinks the LGBT community is a fvcking joke. We are hurting and disrespecting ourselves. 🙄

@georgiaz632 He used the word "Bussy" that's the tell that it's satire. It's a very generic sound (for country music) and it opens very typical until he sucker punches you with "bouncing off my booty cheeks, I love the way he rides." And then obviously, Bussy is a meme. Chase and Ed stood under the warm spray of the shower, steam swirling around them. Their laughter echoed off the tiles as they washed away the grime of the day.
“You know,” Chase said, lathering shampoo into his scabs, “I was reading this article about the history of hand jobs. It’s fascinating.”
Ed chuckled, rinsing soap off his arms. “Only you would find that interesting. What did it say?”
“Well,” Chase began, “it turns out that hand jobs were a common part of male bonding rituals in some cultures. It was more about camaraderie than sex.”
Ed raised an eyebrow. “Really? That’s pretty wild. Imagine explaining that to Sally.”
They both laughed, the sound blending with the noise of the water.
“Hey, knowledge is power,” Chase grinned, rinsing his hair.
Ed nodded, smiling. “Just another quirky piece of trivia for the books. Only you, Chase.”

One thing that Jake Hill has said is that it’s about challenging the norm of what music has to be about. Traditionally, country music is very heterosexual orientated, with hundreds of love ballads and laments of beautiful women done by men and just as many done by women talking about men. This is one of few country genre singers that have homosexual central lyrics and ideas. This is reaching a part of the music industry that has felt that they won’t ever see themselves in love songs in genres that are dominated by straight central songs

I just want to address your comment about the audience. To set the record 'straight" there is a huge population of us that are gay and like country music. The comment one of you made was made that his audience had to be from Jake's rapper group, that regular country fans would not get into this. Sorry gentlemen, but you are seriously mistaken on this point. There is a large gay country fan base out there. We just usually listen to what country music is being produced. Dixon is showing that we can have representation with his lyrics. We know that he is not gay, but it doesn't matter. He is really good.

The thing is it would be an odd song, sure, if he changed the pronouns... but the reason it's getting this attention is because HA AHA AH GAY COUNTRY which is sad cos some of the lyrics are actually p proper as a serious song?

Back in the day the Country Stars at the Country Music Awards had a fit over John Denver saying he wasn't Country. They've got to losing their minds over gay country!!!!!!!

I've always been into counterculture bands but many of them are just not good, Jake Hill though actually produces revolutionary content that is also really good and musically talented.

I had no idea the song was gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I thought he was singing from a woman’s perspective. 😂😂😂

Umm looks like you have some things to unpack. I’ll leave you to it… nothing wrong with that it’s just a sign of assuming straight by default and it may take time to fully deconstruct that bias

@@frozentargaryen4736a little assumptioous of you 😅 my first thought was this was a cover and he didn’t change any of the pronouns (like most artists do).

@@Nik-ei9st Precisely my point. You literally just proved you’ll believe straight is default and look for every possibility other than them being gay. I don’t assume anything but yes there was a time where I assumed most people were straight by default. Now i couldn’t care less unless I’m personally interested in them but I do not assume
