  • Reflx Lab's 500T is respooled Kodak Cinema film, and it really is quite good. With low grain, medium saturation, it offers a really versatile product at a low cost. I shot medium format (120 film), but they also offer it in 35mm as well. Chris from ‪@ThePhotoDept‬ gave me a roll this past summer, and while on a trip out west, I shot this cinematic film in Sedona, Arizona, and boy was I pleased by how the photos came out. This cinema film is a great competitive film, especially as the price point (its a cheap film!). Have you shot any cinema film? I'm curious what you think about cinema film as a whole.

    Who'd have thought respooled cinema film would make your photos more cinema like.

    30+ years ago I shot respool color negative film and got back prints and slides and the negatives. I liked it mostly for the print plus slide deal. The price included the film, processing and slides and prints.

      I may. I have a big box of slides from '54 through the late '90's.

    The respooled 120 rolls are actually traditional imax 70mm film. Really cool.

    developing this film will be more expensive though, the place near me that does ecn-2 is 15$ a roll for dev only, and 9$ for c-41, so in the end the price adds up to about the same as buying cinestill, ofc it depends on who you send the film to. But it comes down to if you want the remjet removed or not. reflx lab 800t is so much cheaper than cinestill 800t for 135 tho I love them.

      @metalfingersfilm  7 месяцев назад

      yeah, its gonna depend on the place, I saw somewhere, but can't find it now, where it was still only like $8 for ecn-2. I've been enjoying their products!

    I like reflexlab especialy because they offer the film without the remjet. 800t and 400d are some great film stocks. The reflexlab pro100 is strange because it has not that orange brown baselayer, but i like it too.
    Nice video👍

      I'm pretty sure their Pro100 is Kodak's aerial film Aerocolor 2460. Lots of companies respool it and sell it, like I think SantaColor 100 is the same and a couple others.

    Interesting. Love the sky photo with odd looking clouds or aberitions. I only use c 41 film. My lab does not develop remjet film so I would never buy it. And I prefer not to send it out to be developed.

      It truly is; I've come to realize, any food that incorporates any other big box brand (i.e. Cinnamon Toast Crunch waffles), is always so horrible.
