Hey Kerbo, recently discovered your channel because of Run8, and immediately found I love your chill style. I'm seriously just binging your entire backlog now hahaha, its great for listening to while I play games myself. One thing I would really appreciate is if you could put all your livestreams in a playlist? I know there's a fair few in seperate playlists, star citizen, run8, but there's a lot of them that are just being buried, and I'd love to go through and listen to all of them too. Thanks!
I run 24 log cars, swapping between L2/L1 for one set of 12, and then L3/L1 for the other set. While one set is loading on Connelly, the other set is dumping into the log pond.
While it is true the 1915 Osgood-Bradley Steel Lightweight Coach (84 capacity) car does esthetically look better with the Pullman 1893 Early Heavyweight Observation Coach, in my play through of the game I have noted that having two Pullman 1900 Open Platform Coach (60 capacity) {ie the starter coach car} gives you 120 total cap for the same and even slight less total weight of 1 84 cap car. So if anyone playing is interested in a min/max of Passenger train with cars its a trade off of looks and length of the train vs total weight and as the game currently stand its all about the weight which determines what and how many engines you need to pull. Just some food for thought.
Don't forget the length! Eight (nine might work too) 1915 coaches and one observation car fit into the three repair tracks behind the Bryson depot and into all the relevant sidings, safe Sylva (cause Sylva sucks and is super short). For me, who is currently only playing Sylva to Alarka and uses two passenger trains, the passenger trains have to meet at Ela. And while there is some room to spare, a train with the same passenger capacity with the palace cars or the open platform coaches would not fit. Theoretically the 1915 coaches don't fit perfectly to the observation car, because the latter uses three-axle trucks and is wood based.
Those cars are certainly bright, when running the passenger train, I typically use road mode and just set the destination station on the passenger cars, that's enough to make the train stop without having to set the waypoint. The downside to this method though is that you do need to drop the speed to 0 and set the reverser within 5 mins of it reaching it's destination, or it will continue onwards. On the upside, you don't have to fly around, setting waypoints at each end
I'm sticking with the starter locomotives for now but may get a more powerful logging locomotive at some point. The little Mogul struggles a bit on the Connelley grade.
I am on about the same day as u .. maybe a little farther .. I expanded to Bryson .. I wish I knew how to use AI better .. how do u set him to change his own switches and hookup nice and easy and all that .. a quick little video would be sweet and I’ll watch it pls lol
I can’t seem to find way point feature on my particular game .. I started over .. I tried multiplayer.. I joined someone else’s game .. I cannot use AI like u guys can .. I can make him goto Ela and stop with fuse .. but then I gotta take over and run him from there type of thing

That's a good suggestion and I'll try to remember to do that. Welcome, and thanks for watching.

Choo Choo! That was a "loud" colour for the sawdust special, I like it. Thanks for the video and take care.
Hahaha I love the color scheme for the passenger service!
Thanks!
I like the passenger car color scheme. Reminds me of the Chicago & Northwestern.

I've used both. Road mode will automatically set the speed to zero after reaching the last stop. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other as they say.
Looks like a school-bus special now.
Can you use the tag?
That would be hilarious
Devs, make it so!
i will recommend getting the p70 mod for the combo car
No mods for me until they're officially supported. Thanks for watching!
@@KerboOnYT ah ok
What kind of engines would the EWL be looking at buying?

@@KerboOnYT The P18 Pacific does sterling service as an upgrade from the starter Mogul and is not too expensive.

Apparently I need to use waypoints lol .. I’ll see if I can find em .. not sure though
The Automatic Engineer feature is only available on the beta branch, as well as timetables.

@@larrystevens6536 You must opt into the beta. Check the Steam discussions for instructions and also back up your saves first.

Diaphragms, that's the word I was searching for
