Man I thought about this method of how to remove these but seeing demonstrate it makes me feel so much better about getting my own out. Thank you so very much sir. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍. Have a wonderful day, keep up the good work.
Thank you. One place stripped out my oil pan years ago and they wouldn't take responsibility, so I used a universal drain plug which was fine until the past year it must've gotten clogged with oil and doesn't seal well any longer. I haven't been able to get the things out and figured I needed a special tool. I like your idea and a simple paper clip properly bent should work perfectly, with a little patience and few attempts. I now have confidence. I was previously using a straw which didn't work. Thank you again. Attempting tomorrow. Already got a new universal plug ready to go 👍🏽
Hi WillB169 awesome great job brother glad to hear you got that thing out so glad the video helped you and thank you so much for watching. I really appreciate you.
If the thread is too long for the vehicle application, I see no reason not to shorten the thread to allow for clearance and then put a small blob of weld perhaps on the new shorter end. It looks quite a good temporary/permanent solution to get you back on the road when a thread strips out.
Hi William M i don't know if cutting it would make it more difficult to remove or even get it in. wouldn't have the room for the little T to swivel ?? but thank you for your comment and thank you for watching i appreciate you
Hi Sethlivingston yes you can reuse them. You can reuse them 3 4 times. Just keep an eye on the rubber. Make sure it’s not cracking or tearing up. Thank you for for watching. I really appreciate you.
Hi @@kunalkapoor5563 I don’t know you can try it stick it in the oil pan and if it hit something, don’t use it but if it goes in with no problem and doesn’t hit on anything then it’ll work

Could you use a telescopic magnet to try and grab the tab to tuck it in and pull it out?
