  • Trying to make traditional Finnish Sima 🥂🇫🇮 How did I do? 😁… since many people told me that nothing like the homemade one, I decided to give it a try for the first time (+with a twist 🌶️) and this is how it went! ❤️
    The recipe I used below:
    3 liters of water
    250 g of brown sugar
    100 g of white sugar
    1/4 tsp dry yeast
    1 organic lemon
    A handful of raisins
    1. Boil 1.5 l of water and mix the sugar into the hot water.
    2. Pour hot water and the rest of the cold water into a large container, so you get hand-warm water. Mix in the yeast.
    3. Peel the lemon and squeeze the lemon juice into the meringue.
    4. Pour into sealable bottles and leave the mead to set at room temperature for a day without a lid.
    THIS NEXT STEP WILL BE IN THE SECOND PART 🤭
    5. After a day, add the raisins and close the caps. Put in the fridge to set. When the mead is ready, the raisins rise to the surface.

    ooh that chili sima will be hot, when it ferment. alcohol forms and capsaicin will dissolve in it :O
