The video was record breaking - hand drawn and rotoscoped (where they trace over the actual footage to make the transitions to drawing) - the song still stands up!
These boys were from Norway and this was their classic one--hit wonder #1 song from 1985. The lead singer and the actress/model actually got together in real life for a while. I think there may be a video around of their reunion on the 30th anniversary of the song's release. They both still looked good.
First of all it's a band of 3. Second they have sold around 85 million albums and singles, including a James Bond title song. . Hardly a one hit wonder. Third they still record, release and tour. Get educated and informed !
@@Cta2006 Who said they weren't a band of three?? And yes, they ARE considered one of the prominent one-hit wonders in the states (and they certainly are, though they did chart a follow-up). No one's taking about their international career or their current status. Pay attention,
Classic. This was the soundtrack of my childhood in the 80s
Having not hear A-Ha is having not lived.
Love this song! Useless trivia for you, the band picked the name A-ha because it was universally recognized as the sound of surprise!✌️❤️
This video received many awards
Always thought this video was unique back in the day, and they could have made this into a sci-fi/fantasy feature movie.
It’s a great song and a truly impressive music video 😎
The video is INCREDIBLE!! I LOVE this song
😂😂😂
Ashley said - yall get back in the newspaper together....LOL
They did. They became a couple for a number of years after filming this.
@Buster-oj4tc OH REALLY?!!! WOWWWW....NICE
Catchy song by a Norwegian group. They were popular in Europe, but I think this was their only big hit in the US.
Another '80s classic and MTV music video staple...
a ha.....💯💯💯🎸🤘
great reaction episode 🎧😎🎹🥁🎻
👉🎮🕹️👾...lol good one
I remember this...don't remember when it came out

I love this song!!!!!
Wow you got me listening to something different from what I was listening to.
It was a clever video.
All the girls' favorite. I look like a cartoon too. But I guess Shrek isn't quite the same as that pretty boy... 🟢
Now you gotta do Soft Cell - Tainted Love
High School memories
Classic but got one for ya
