Love the detail & your product knowledge & passion, thanks.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback, glad you enjoyed!
Thank you for making this! I’ve been contemplating an m3 manual & the wheels do look much better in this video than on the configurator
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed! I too was pleasantly surprised after seeing these wheels in person for the first time. They look fantastic and like you said, much better than they do in the configurator.
Good overview. Thank you.
Thanks, you're welcome!
Love this guy!
Glad you enjoyed!
My dream car.
The M3 has long been a dream car of many. It'll live up to the dream when you get one!
The 824M wheels have plenty of ownership benefits in my opinion - 18"/19" tires will be a bit cheaper than 19"/20" tires. The 18"/19" tires gain a bit more sidewall (added comfort) without sacrificing any tread width for performance (18": 275/40 19": 285/35 vs 19": 275/35 20": 285/30), and lastly the much simpler design will equate to less time needed to clean them. Of course, loving the look/design of the larger wheels is a perfectly justifiable reason to option, but the base 824M wheels are no slouch.
Good points, absolutely agree! There are certainly benefits to smaller, simpler wheels. Just happens to be an added bonus that BMW made the smaller wheel option on the G8x a really nice looking wheel.
Do you know if their is a weight difference? A lower unsprung weight is always beneficial
And the first thing I’m changing is the chrome badges!
Oh no! To each their own, but I love the chrome badges! Gives it a classic ///M look.
@@bmwofmorristown9038 yea I understand this but the black im is just so much more stealthy. All chrome will be gone immediately for me. Im also a fan of things matching. The pieces around the windows should be chrome if the there are other chrome parts. I went black 826m, Dravit grey with Fiona. Everything else, black on the exterior and carbon interior.
Do you have any allocations for a base M3? Looking for a 6speed. Do you know if you can order a base M3's with competition seat belts or Active Cruise?
We can definitely get an M3 manual ordered for you! Give us a call at 973-455-0700 for more info. Unfortunately, adaptive cruise and comp seat belts are not available on the manual car, but it's a worthy sacrifice to #savethemanuals!
I just ordered my Isle of Man green on kayalami orange seats .DID NOT chose the extended leather interior and my doors from inside are black , how come this one got the red in the doors ?..
Extended leather is standard, but means different things depending on color. With extended Fiona Red, Fjord, Tartufo and Ivory White, door cards will match the seats i.e. be colored as shown here. Other colors with extended leather will have black door cards. Full leather covers lower dash as well as door cards on all colors.
@@bmwofmorristown9038 why not kayalami orange?
@@Top_g80comp Always like to switch it up sometimes. We really liked the Alpine over Fiona!
They apparently consider the 4 colors that come with the color matched door cards individual even though are standard options
just curious, will those stripper spec m3 hold their value better?
Tough to say this early, but looking at older M3 generations as an example, I wouldn't be surprised if they do. I very strongly suspect that manual G80's will be the one's to have in 20 years from a resale value perspective.
Great review of the stripper spec(that is a hilarious expression). I like those wheels also. Considering those in the color every person who buys his car is already paying for, why would you pay even more for a different paint color and wheels?
The term has stuck around for a reason :) We are also big fans of these wheels, they suit the car very well!
@@bmwofmorristown9038 have you ever seen those wheels on a skyscraper grey exterior? If so, how did it look?
@@MyWatchTherapy We haven't yet. but I would expect it to look nice. The wheel color seems like it would compliment Skyscraper grey pretty well.
People have complained about these wheels around debris and rocks getting caught between the wheel and caliper and scraping. While these wheels do look better in person for sure, this should have been a 19/19 set up. 18s kill the low profile wheel/tire look.
I recall that being a problem on the 513M wheels as well. Tough to avoid with an 18" wheel fitting around a large rotor and caliper. A 19/19 setup definitely would look better, but being from NJ, where the roads are generally less than desirable, having a meatier tire setup is appreciated by many.
@@bmwofmorristown9038 I’m close by so I understand. 19 has enough meat even for the Philly potholes lol
Have you had customers come in complaining about brakes squeaking?
I can't speak on behalf of our entire sales staff, but I haven't gotten that complaint myself.
don't love the front end
Many don't until they spend some time with one in person. That said, we're all entitled to our opinions :)
