It all depends on budget and where you work. Overall though I would say yes.
Redondo resident here. As much as I like Long Beach, I am happy living here. If you have family and kids, Redondo is one of ideal place to live. (I enjoyed LB much more when i was single lol)

How smoggy is it in redondo beach
i wouldn;t say smog is an issue in Redondo beach. No more than anywhere else in LA
There's no smog in say San Bernardino compared to Redondo?
Being at the shoreline, smog is far less of an issue than further inland.
Those "new houses" taking up the whole lot are disgusting. How soulless and tacky do you have to be to buy something like that? That doesn't even improve the land value.
