Overkill is from Old Bride NJ, I'm from Sayreville a neighboring town. The OB Militia was formed in the early 80's and passes the Metal Music to the next generation. Metallica gets credit for creating "thrash" because their demo got distributed all around the world before their first album even came out. Overkill put out the first truly "thrash" demo... but it wasn't distributed around the tape-trading community like Metallica's "No Life Til Leather." Anyway, my favorite Overkill song is Spiritual Void.

It was in my fathers collection untouched for many many years amongst other gems like Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II, Maiden's Number of the Beast and more. The big 4 based on talent is Overkill pre 2000's, Testament, Exodus, and Flotz.
