- In this video I have explained about 10 methods with which we can fix our android smartphone's finger print sensor issue. Recently, my Samsung S20 FE 5G had a fingerprint issue after the latest software update. From the old unboxing video I posted for the same phone, I understood that many people are recently buying this smartphone so I think this video will be helpful for all of them. If the above methods are not working, then you can visit the nearest authorized service center for your smartphone and get it checked.

Excellent, thanks for posting. I had a new screen fitted after dropping the phone and smashing the screen. New screen was great, phone looked liked new, but, obviously, it didn't recognise the fingerprint. The first suggestion on the video worked. The other thing not working is the screen grab by swiping the hand across, so here's searching youtube again!

I had the same issue tried all the steps and couldn't fix the issue with my fingerprint scanner. Then decided to check for any app updates in the Galaxy store as l normally update from Google Play! There were couple of updates available and after updating it just worked!! Please make sure all software (both One UI and Google play) and app updates (both Google play and Galaxy appa) are done before wasting any of your hard-earned cash with hardware repairs!
We usually update....the apps all the time from galaxy store after each software update is completed.

Even I have S20FE 5g phone with me and the Finger print scanner has just stopped working after the recent update
Try to check with these steps if it's working again. Ifits not then like I have told in the end of the video you might need to replace the sensor. The cost of replacement is also given at the end of the video.

Why should the consumers bear the cost of this update?
Yeah, but it seems that only random people are having this issues. Cuz I know 2 to 3 people using the same model and they haven't faced the same issue. Usually when all the people are having this as a common issue, only then the company will give free replacements. When S20 and Note 20 flagships faced issues with the software updates, the company provided free replacement.
Hi sir, 1st method it gives blank for finger sensor. So hardware issue?
Sometimes it shows blank so no problem. But if your fingerprint sensor is not working, try the other steps.
One query - After changing the sensor from service center, does it affect its water proofness is any way.
Samsung devices are not waterproof, It's IP68 water resistant. That means it can withstand water upto 30min max. Also when a phone is unsealed, the bounding is a little weak from the original. But still as they use the same tape we get a good bounding. Anyway you need to confirm with the service center if it's okae.

i have one fail at DBIAS_TUNED_DBIAS_VOLTAGE, at the Value is 0. Whats that mean?
Then you might need to confirm if there is any issue with Authorized Service Centers or just contact samsung toll free customercare number.
The last step it's says fingerprint isn't working and after your phone get ready the fingerprint working and registered

Last step is to re-install the software using a PC and it might work if the issue was due to the software. But in my case it was the sensor hardware issue. And like I told in the video I had gone to the authorized service center and replaced the finger print sensor. That's why the fingerprint sensor worked in the last part of the video.

I tried all these methods and if those methods don't work, then the only remaining option is to go to the service center. That's what happened in my case and when they checked, the sensor was not working. So they replaced the fingerprint sensor. I have explained that at the end of the video and also shown the invoice of the service ie, how much is the cost for fingerprint sensor and repairs.
MY PHONE IS fall in water. After that fingerprint senor is tough to work . Do i have to change sensor?
Just like shown in the video, diagnose your fingerprint sensor if it's working properly and also visit the nearest authorized service center and ask them to check the internal components if it had a water damage or if the sensor needs replacement.

Try the steps I have explained in the video..The methods are common for all samsung phones.
When I press fingerprint it just says Fingerprint sensor not working
Then use the methods explained in the video and see if it's working in any of the steps. If not, then you need to replace the finger sensor like I explained in the video and the price is also given.
My one, the *#0*# shows Na at very first. I dont want to reset my whole phone. I'm pretty sure my case it's like yours... I need to replace the sensor. I might just leave it like that. Shit.

Yeah, some errors can be fixed using these methods.

Try the methods I have shown in the video step by step....If none of the methods are working, then you might need to change the sensor...I have also given the cost for that at the end.

Ohh...Then try these methods step by step..sometimes it will work after any of the steps mentioned. If not the the only last option is to contact the neared authorized service center and tell them to redo the software and even after that if it's not working then the only option left is to replace the fingerprint sensor.

If the 9 solutions I have mentioned didn't work then the only way is to contact the authorized service center and check by reinstalling software or replacing the fingerprint sensor.

Try all the methods I have explained and if it's still not working go to the nearest authorized samsung service center and check.
check for available updates in the Samsung Galaxy Store and update them. restart when done then test the fingerprint sensor as shown in the video.

You shouldn't buy samsung exynos version if you are opting FE series...everyone know that and that's why everyone is waiting for even S23 FE Snapdragon version to be launched.

@@fusionstudios2k19 my phone screen broke I replace it with a new one, when I try to save my fingerprint it worked until I reach 35% percent and doesn't want to wipe through the developer menu the phone won't go that menu doesn't matter what I do
So after the screen replacement, when you are trying to add a new finger print it's registering only upto 35%. Is that what you ment? Then there might be an issue with the compatibility between the new display and finger print sensor. You might need to go to your nearest authorized service center and check that.
Could you fix the issue? I am dealing with the same one, but it's a used S20 FE 5G, and the seller told me it was never sent to repair

Only when you format or Re-install the software from authorized service center will the data's get deleted....for other steps there is no problem...Also I didn't understand what you ment in the 2nd one.

Depends on the authorized service centers...if they have fingerprint sensor in stock you will get it done within 1 Day...or it will depend on the time they order the sensor and to reach that service center.

Those who don't care about money can directly go to authorized service center for replacement and those who have patience can try any of these methods and the issue might be fixed without any replacement.
