I was happy to find this video! Then I realized it's a year old. Can you do an updated video for the S23 series? The fingerprint sensor on my S23+ is trash! I came from the S9 with the sensor on the back of the phone and I miss its accuracy (and position) dearly!
Fingerprint recognition has been a perennial issue on me on every Samsung phones that I had since Note10+. But after I discover a way on how to register my fingerprint perfectly with almost no error my opinion has somewhat changed. What I follow whenever I register a fingerprint on my phone is the so-called "Rule Of Thirds" where I start scanning my fingerprint from the tip of the centre region meaning the arch of my thumb and then gradually scanning it until I reach the part of my thumb where it folds. Then after that I tilt my thumb a little off to the side and repeat the same step as I did on the centre. And lastly doing it on the other side of my thumb until it reaches 100%. It doesn't matter which side/edge of my thumb I start but what matters more is that I start on the centre. Usually I scan from the tip of my finger and count 10 times or 12 times whilst on the side/edges I count 3 counts per edge if I did 10 scans of my thumbs centre region and 2 counts per edge if I did 12 scans per region. This one is very applicable on all Samsung phones with Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor, which are mostly flagships. My main issue on the fingerprint sensor is the Surface Area or that it is very small. I really can't wait for Samsung to use the 2D Sonic Max sensor on the upcoming S23 series particularly S23 Ultra, which is allegedly almost 20x larger than their current Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensors on S22 series measuring at 16cm×16cm rather than an measly 8cm×8cm on the current S22 lineup or 4cm x 9cm. Talagang maliit pagkakagawa nila sa Fingerprint Sensor (they intentionally build a small fingerprint sensor). #SamsungPaDinAko #BakaMagSamsungPaDinAko #NagTaTagalogAkoKasiBinuburaLagiNgYouChupCommentKo!
Hi. Long term Note 10 user, so first gen ultrasonic FP sensor from Samsung. Unlocking is sometimes tricky, due to dry and eroded thumb print (years of gym/body building etc). Do the newer S22 models with bigger FP sensor area, help with unlocking if dry thumb problems exist? Doesn't matter how often I moisturise, periodically gets dry again during the day.. Thanks!
Imo I feel like samsung should add 3d plus iris plus 2d face recognition and call it face recognition and add a finger print in the back of their phone along with the front inscreen
it seems like they're actually doing this in the the new android 13. The fingerprint sensor area moves slightly each time. (s22) instead of requesting the edge of the finger method.
Great content. For me the best way was to scan both thumbs at the same time. Left thumb then right thumb back and forth till it hit 100%. It works so much faster for me. I did the same for my index finger.
Wow. That is better than just scanning your thumbs with 3 of the prints and one finger? Just mix and match using all the fingers and thumbs in all of the 4 prints?
One of the things that makes you or the mind to conclude that the under display fingerprint sensor isn't fast enough is due to the animation that comes with it. For optimum and best (snappier) speed, simply kill or do away with the animation and it becomes instantaneous. And with ultrasonic, you don't always have to light up the screen before you unlock. That's one fundamental and smart area that most people don't touch on.
Why do you use both hands lol isnt the point for 1 the same for the other? Like I use both my right and left fingers to unlock my phone but I only scanned the right
Wrong tech! Finger print sensor will scan your fingers fully irrespective of where you place the finger while registering. Later it will check it when you unlock. Please don't mislead

What screen protector are you using? Having trouble with glass on my 22 ultra. Thanks.

Hey
I noticed that the fingerprint wont work if my finger is very dry
It also works faster when you turn animation off on Finger print unlock
Thanks alot buddy
That method really makes fingerprint scanner fast
Thank for watching !:)

Yeah, I got a message sometimes that the finger is too dry.
Worked like a charm
Thanks so much 🙏
Hey,
You could also consider registering both thumbs on the same finger print in 1 go. It works and is a little faster
Imo I feel like samsung should add 3d plus iris plus 2d face recognition and call it face recognition and add a finger print in the back of their phone along with the front inscreen
That’d be pretty cool!
My s22 ultra fingerprint scan is shit along with the face recognition!
Even is minor tips, but is useful for screen protector user. Thank you Mark🙏🏻
Great content as usual. Thank you!! Loving my S22 Burgundy Ultra!
What font are you currently using please??
It’s the very first font On the font store. Samsung Sans
@Mark's Tech Thank you sir. It looks more "italicized" in your video than the normal Samsung Sans....

sweet relief.. for real. Seems to be working 90% of the time instead of like 30% now. I was about to throw my phone into a river
Superb bro, this was a real issue to me. Many thanks. God bless you!
Thank you good sir for sharing this new trick. My phone's finger print sensor now just works better😄🙌🏻
Sweet! Thanks for watching :)

What did you do to your navigation bar look like this ?
New subscriber here. Thank you, Mark!
Thanks Josh! 🔥
I am trying but it's not working
Very nice video 👌🏻👍🏻
The shorter his beard is trimmed, the more serious and less crazy he is.
So in conclusion, I prefer long beard Mark !
It’ll grow out 😈😈😈
Why thumbs. How secure is this
what font are you using? I used to use a similar one on my Samsung S10
It is 'Rosemary'
It was working well before applying tempered glass. 😞 need to press very hard.
I heard if you turn the sensitivity up on your phone, that should help
Idk I feel like Samsung did a great job with this sensor. I don't have any problems following their setup process. Its super fast. 💁🏽♂️
Thanks Mark..
HEY GOOD VID I HAVE A TPU SREEN PROTECTOR BUT FINGER PRINT WONT GO PASSED 30 PERCENT WHAT DO I DO CHEERS
Cool will give this a shot.
Let me know how it goes!:)
My sensor is borderline instant, I only tap it and it unlocks
Returning after 5 days fingerprint sucks on this phone 📱
I wonderr why you didnt talked about that you can boost the sensor in the settings. Its a settings especially if you use screen protector.
How it is called?
I enable fingerprints but it does not show up on lock screen on pin shows up which is not what I want
trick also for the pixel 6 pro?
How to change your finger print thanks

not anymore in galaxy s23
Why do you use both hands lol isnt the point for 1 the same for the other? Like I use both my right and left fingers to unlock my phone but I only scanned the right
Sounds like the Konami code 🤔
Is first still a thing? Haha
I guess it is now! 😎
i think this samsung have ultrasonic fingerprint sensor you should use a optical sensor for this type of video bro..🙂
This registration works on both types:)
I don't like screen on protector
My phone just won't regocnize my fingerprint whatsoever
Same problem. Very annoying
S22 has a shit finger sensor S8 was perfect.
Should have done this with the pixel 6
Works with the pixel 6 too :)
Step 1: don't use your hands doing anything manly
🤔😃
