Grey is so beautiful, especially when worn together in different hues and textures... You're right... Pairing grey with white is stunning...😍 You look gorgeous in purple, Leonie...😊
@francesbell4386 Super Chic as you describe this French Style capsule 😊 Not boring, with lots of ease and practicality, can look sexy .... just so versatile. And great for a travel capsule. Thank you 👏
Love this style! The background is so pretty! You look stunning! Great color on you.. pretty sleeves! Love your hair.. the middle part , sleek pony is classic!!
Leonii, the grape dress is gorgeous on you! Thank you for the video. All my life I wore the Free People bohemian look and now at 70 I have ditched almost all of it for tailored classics. In my mind I look a little boring, but taller and slimmer. You have the best fashion videos out there!
High-quality, natural material, mostly neutral, classic-style pieces have always been my favorites. Many of us have dressed this way all our lives, we don’t need to keep trying, and disposing of, new trends all the time. The names Quiet Luxury/Old Money/Stealth Wealth are unfortunate, this is just the way we were brought up to shop and dress. To paraphrase the late designer Vivienne Westwood: Choose carefully, buy high quality, if fewer, items, and make them last with TLC. Now in my 60s, I expect anything I buy to be a permanent addition to my wardrobe. I have and wear many items I bought in the 80s, and still love them. Having a fairly limited, flattering color palette helps, too. I like knowing what the trends are, to inspire me and offer any revived classics I love, so thanks for your video.
Can you please do more thrifting/styling video? I have a small side hussle job (a.k.a. vintage/antique booth) that I'm renting. I have dress forms that I styled with thrifted items and people seemed to like them. I just need more inspiration/ style ideas . Btw, you look great!
Poor old navy blue. Not a single look in. I have a very expensive German made wool trench coat which I will not part with. Thank heaven camel and navy are very good together.
Navy is still very much on trend and is always a French classic. I just didn’t include it in today’s video as I have talked about it in previous videos and try not to be repetitive. But navy def gets a big thumbs up from me and the French 🇫🇷
Thanks Leonie, I loved this video. In my eyes French style is always so chic and timeless. It's a style that I will always love and be drawn to. The cigarettes pants with a good striped top are my favorites. To me they are simply so flattering.
I call this style casual chic, it's simple and looks effortless. But I also notice that all the iconic French ladies we love tend to be very slim and that's what makes them took so elegant and put together too, it's usually not mentioned but imo an essential part of their look. If you're slim you look graceful and chic and everything looks good, clothes hang well, and very simple high street pieces or an old pair of jeans look amazing. So we may not all be tall or have a lot of money to invest in clothes but maintaining a slim (healthy!) weight is something that we can try to achieve
I'd love to see some examples of French style with a little less"street" and a bit mode chic. Loved the basic tips you shared on color, flats and Chanel and trenches. We are planning A trip to Paris later this year. Thanks for helping with my fashion research.
I am glad the straight leg jeans and trousers over the ankle are back on trend as they are my favourite and I never stopped wearing them. I got some wide leg jeans and cargos last year but I just didn’t feel the same wearing those…
LEONIE! You are my stylish icon in my head. I am so happy my new job will finally allow me to afford to shop for more pieces. I can't wait to experiment with sporty and business/quite luxury looks and I know your channel will be invaluable for that. I want to really put in my 100% in work, dedication & and style, so I stand out from Day 1 😎
I love the colour of your outfit… it looks beautiful on you! Thanks for this video because I do watch French & Italian street style vids because I think they are so chic. Love to get your perspective ❤ from Australia
Love plaid - so happy to see it's on trend this year. Love burgandy...it's already one of my staple closet colors. I have tried to love loafers, they look so cute on everyone else. Have a boucle-ish jacket I'll be pulling out. Trench coat to me, is a closet staple. So happy to see another trend already in my closet!
I can’t do loafers, either. The closest I can come is a slide on with an open back, and I need a heel of at least 1” on those. I prefer 2-3”, but with a slide, I could do 1”. My heels are narrow, so a lot of loafers seem to not stay put.
I think I’ll wear my burgundy cashmere skirt and Polo sweater set today, probably with a silk scarf around my sensitive, itchy neck. I love burgundy and I love matching sets, and Quince makes them affordable (sold individually as separates, and they don’t have many light colors, which I love, though). When I go out, I think I’ll wear navy boots and carry my navy bag, I love these colors together. I have cool-undertoned coloring, so I like the cooler reds, pinks and burgundy hues, unlike last year’s orangey, tomato reds. Burgundy is so classic, for both clothes and accessories. Burgundy/Cordovan leather boots and bags are so wearable. (No brand affiliations, I just appreciate the balance of high quality and affordability that Quince offers).
That color dress looks so good on you. You should wear that color more often. I enjoyed your videos. Thank you for your tips. Looking forward to your next video.❤
I tried Levi's 501s but they don't suit me, I am slim but have slightly wider hips than I'd like! What I don't like about 501s is that they taper at the bottom and are not real straight jeans, so they make my hips and thighs look bigger. I found true straight cigarette jeans in M&S, they're in their Autograph range with lyocell and they come in a lovely ocean blue colour and different lengths, I hope theyy'll make them in darker washes too. A real find and often sold out in my size 6, highly recommeneded! £49.50
Could you please feature polo collar (half) zip cardigans, sweaters, dresses, etc.? Also darker wash cigarette jeans with a big turn-up, I'm thinking of investing in these or just cuffing my longer jeans myself and wear them with heels to add height as I'm petite. Thank you Leonie, I have similar hair to yours and it's a timeless and youthful style that really suits you x
Hi. Was wondering about shorter trenches or do they have to be longer? I'm petite and they tend to take me over. But I want to stay in style. Thanks! ❤
If you prefer shorter trenches and they work better for your style I'd definitely suggest wearing them. There are some truly fab cropped trenches this year and I'm sure there'll be a length that is perfect for you. Good luck!
Love burgundy color, but burgundy don’t love me😳🤪 it’s way too cool for my blonde warm tone complexion. But warm grey i love. I actually saw little silk sweater with rosette, in beautiful warm grey. Its on sale but still quite pricey, but I might need to get, cause its timeless and will go with anything 🤔yes to loafers. Finally last year invested in Prada ones, but haven’t wore yet. Every time I am ready to put them on, my hubby i think white sneakers goes better with this outfit 😂😳 I don’t think he likes them lol but I still going to wear 😜. Any pants cropped not my cup of tea. Yes I need Mary Janes, if I only find my size 😳. Chanel jacket had quite a few, but SF its not too wearable, so sold almost all. I guess need to find lighter one. And trench i grew up in Europe, so trench was always in my wardrobe. Yes great over gym outfit, and also over mini skirts For some reason haven’t bought one, in 20+ years, but SF rainy, so I need finally invest in one 🤔. Love minimalistic trend as well. I love all, it depends of the mood on particular day. Chokers never goes out of style, well Chanel has them every year🤔. I wear them, and do still have velvet one, from 2015 Salzburg collection, but it does have a huge sparkly ornament in the middle, I think I prefer something less, like rosette 🤔. Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Many body shapes look good in straight leg but not tapered pants. Cropped looks ok if you don’t mind shortening your legs. Trending or not, neither looks good on me nor most women I know.
You look lovely Leonie, your nose and cheeks maybe more shiny than you realise, they make you look like you have oily skin. I adore French style so thank you. Not keen on burgundy (looks like blood or offal, no thanks), peplums, loafers (too masculine) or overly oversize jackets and trench coats. Deconstructed clothes with massive shoulders look ridiculous imo and not timeless.
Grey is so beautiful, especially when worn together in different hues and textures... You're right... Pairing grey with white is stunning...😍 You look gorgeous in purple, Leonie...😊
Thanks so much Linda x
I love French style. Cigarette pants, grey, burgundy, striped t shirts, loafers and scarves are all music to my ears.
Yay!
Yes, me too.
Nothing beats in style women sleeping with monsters . Chanel, for example: "Chanel became Abwehr Agent F-7124 in 1941"
@francesbell4386 Super Chic as you describe this French Style capsule 😊 Not boring, with lots of ease and practicality, can look sexy .... just so versatile. And great for a travel capsule. Thank you 👏
Loafers and trench coats ❤
I’m going to be wearing a vintage (late 60s/ early 70s) wool Burberry one to work tomorrow.
Sounds great! 👏🏼
Love this style! The background is so pretty! You look stunning! Great color on you.. pretty sleeves! Love your hair.. the middle part , sleek pony is classic!!
Thank you so much Melinda xx

On the hunt for the perfect burgundy bag and loafers. A throw back to my cordovan bass weejuns of the 60s. Great video.
Great idea and thank you 🤩
Gray has become my favorite color
Nice!
Awe, YAY! You like the Sleep & Glow! Thank you so much, Leonie!! 🥰 Lisa
I love it! And YOU inspired me Lisa so thank you xx

Navy Blue is so slept on. Much better option than Black.
Navy is still very much in style though. As a matter of fact, a lot of the trends in this video were paired with something navy.

I’m wearing navy today with tan ☺️
I love navy! It’s a great alternative to black.

I wear a burgundy vneck sweater from Quince with not only black pants, but also with jeans (of course), tan/camel, gray, olive and navy!
I liked the shots of the boucle jackets with jeans and other unexpected pieces. Something conservative on the bottom looks to grandma-ish on me
Really enjoyed that! All the pic. very helpful
Glad you enjoyed it Sue 🤩

Silk pillow cases are much better for you ❤
I’d always used a silk pillow case but my fave still smooshed up when I slept. The silk was great for my hair but didn’t help my face enough 😩
Great vid very informative and interesting loved it 💯💯💯❤️❤️😍😍
Glad you enjoyed it Maxine x
Merci Leonie, as always great video, all the way from France 🤍
Thank you so much! 😃
Ur dress and background is complementing each other well. Glad that purple is trending now.
As always, lovely video! ❤ ❤❤

Oh thank you so much!
Hi Leoni, very enjoyable video! What about a similar one with New York inspiration ?
Great idea!
Super cool Video.♥️♥️♥️♥️👍
? I love horizontal strips but Im told having an apple shaped body, I don't look good in them.
Do you have Any suggestions as to what kind I can wear?
Would love some links to similar outfits! Love these looks❤
Another great vlog. 🎉
Thank you Susan!! 😊
Fab video! I love you photo choices… normally I hate hearing our kiwi accent but your voice is lovely 💞💞💞

fashion question: is it acceptable to wear a trench in a sunny day? As a not-too-heavy outer piece?
A Trenchcoat is an British Classic, the same as plaid fabric, they are both British and not French.. 😉

The french style is just a tad bit overrated...I like the Italian style way better...
