Drop your shulker box pickup hopper a block and put a hopper cart on it. They'll grab the shulker boxes much faster so they are less likely to glitch away

You did? I started doing it but abandoned the project because of the bug that makes tridents fall of walls, it breaks my farm every time it unloads. I'm just waiting for them to patch it before I resume

@@Boney-ph8cd it is an amazing upgrade. One shulker box of shulkers per hour once done. I did it not for the rates but for the simplicity of moving the shulkers and not having to build over the void.

I built the update version on +1.20 and the back sticky piston with observer would stay extended. Put a repeater in the back and lock the input item hopper. So each time it would stop the item flow when the shulker is full so it would reset that sticky piston with observer. Now it works great. Also putting them right side by side messed up the redstone signals for and won't fill up shulkers all the way. So I put 1 block gap between each section
It's good to see you getting into loaders and unloaders. I'm currently trying to create an entire server storage that can handle 4x sorting and storing at any point in the system. So far in a single tile able sorter each item is sucked into the sorter at 4x and sorted into chests at 3x with a 1xhopper back cloging after it sorts the first double chest and 2x backup clog after the second double chest is full. I'm dumping items into the system at 16x hopper speed. 😋
This is sooooo much more compact than the one I designed myself. It's a bit longer (by a block I think) but mine is 3 blocks wider. That said, I designed and built it when breaking a shulker sent it in any possible direction, and I had to build an item sorter in to the unloader design to prevent the shulkers from getting in to my storage and looking through hundreds of chest to find one😂
Edit:works as shown in pic, needed a little bit of extra space with some of the systems I have but functions perfectly. Now I can finally finish building my bulk sorted shulker storage. Turning my old storage room into a sub station for shulker loading, since I already have a bunch of pipelines through my castle already. Thanks a bunch! This actually was *exactly* what I was looking for!

I see what my issue was, it’s using the backlog technique. The way I had installed it, it hadn’t been functioning properly because I didn’t give it an extra hopper for back logging.

@@sophic1844 what was the issue, can you elaborate? My loader doesn’t break the shulkers once filled, is that to do with the issue you had?
And now I mention it, I’ve just tried my unloader again, and that’s not consistently working either.. do you have any idea what I’ve done wrong/if the build is just broken in this current update or something? I see lots of people complaining it didn’t work but I’m not sure if that’s just a mistake in the building of it
If anyone else sees this and was having the same problem, triple check for the unloader (while you’re testing it and thinking it’s not working) don’t test with 1 item, it will unload too quickly and freeze the system in place
For the loader, I had tried to fill shulker boxes with 1 unstackable item (just for speed whilst testing) and it wasn’t working, I have rebuilt it again and this time prefilled the shulkers with 26 stacks and let the system fill the last stack on its own, and it works! So just in case anyone else was having the same issue hope this helps!!

Anyone that's having trouble with the pistons staying powered swap the repeater for a block then add a sticky piston on top facing the hoppers with another hopper going into it. Also swap use the updated design silent has linked in the pinned comment and use a trap door flush with the sticky piston instead of a step. This is working for me and I'm not looseing any shulker chests
What a hero Silentwhisperer is. I've been using infinite minecart storage but oh the lag when you have hundreds of minecarts. This essentially squares the capacity of a single chest from 27 slots to 729 and of course you can still silo them. I suppose you could even put your loaded shulkers in infinite minecart storage but I can't really imagine what you would use it for, even my witch farm doesn't produce that many items. There I have 128 minecarts to hold all my healing potions; with a shulker loader I can replace them with 3 double chests. It takes a bit more room but will cause less lag and use wayyyy less iron and no more having to stuff in more minecarts. Also easier to see how full it is; I haven't tried comparatoring my infinite minecarts; I kind of doubt it would be useful.

I just watched your video on the latest fix for hoppers in Bedrock and now can't help but think fixing item drop behavior would be a great bug for Mojang to tackle next so you don't have to keep engineering around Bugrock's issues and odd behavior.

Hi I was wondering if you can update the gold farm with these shulker box fillers
The unloader seems to get stuck sometimes. The piston doesn't destroy the empty shulker randomly and it stops everything. You have to manually break it and hit the button again. This is with only adding 4 shulkers and it stops agter emptying the second one.
If you're having issues with the shulker loader from the pin comment having an extended piston, make sure that your repeaters are where they should be, remember the bottom one has to be 4 clicks, top one 1 click and make sure your comparator is facing the right way and it's NOT on substract mode [In other words don't click it one you lay it down]

I did some testing for the shulker unloader. It seems to work as long as shulkers have at least 3 items inside, but will break if there is a shulker put into the system with 2 or fewer items. Is there any way to fix that?
My goal is to have single chest input into my storage system. I've already sorted out shulkers from other items, and my hope is to put a shulker unloader after the sort. Issue is the shulkers could be full or empty, so need an unloader that can handle that.

i cant seem to get this farm to work if i chain it side by side, as the redstone on the back triggers all of the shulker box's then breaks the farm, putting it 1 block apart fixed that. is there something im missing?
I think the shulker loader needs some more updates because the filled shulkers end up (from time to time) on the dispenser for shulkerboxes.. and its hard to loose a fully loaded shulker of anything...
i cant imagine having enough items to actually need a shulker box unloader this big/advanced. i have like 6 slots in mine and its a manual lol. but it does go into an item sorter, im not a complete animal lol. also ive found a piston going down into a hopper is another way to make it loseless. if you need the space

Built this original version. Then built the newer version both time have the same problem as soon as the hopper above the shulker chest has more then a certain amount of items in, the piston at the bottom stays extended therefore the shulker chests never get broken again.
I'm guessing the repeater pointing into the hopper is supposed to lock it seems like that's the problem.
I am having an issue with the shulkers not being broke after being filled in video u have solid block placed above sticky piston but in image it is a glass block I tried both ways the glass works but once shulker is full it powers redstone but don't break shulker and over loads the hopper ... I have to break redstone dust to get to break shulker and work again then I have to clear hoppers and start all overis there a fix or reason for this ... bedrock edition by the way

Is there any way to make the unloader handle empty boxes? I would really like to be able to dump everything in my inventory into my storage without the unloader getting stuck. My idea was to sort out all the boxes, and then empty the boxes all automatically, but this design will break if empty boxes go in. Is there any way to make that possibe?

Hey man, built this for running into my new item sorter system (your newest design with 54 dc - loving it btw) and I can't get the shulkerboxes to land in the far chest leading out with only the empty boxes. I built it almost like yours (a little different hoppersorting for my itemsystem ofc though that hopefully shouldn't affect shulkers and the piston), but the shulkerboxes always end up with my items... Any fixes or tips?
I was 10 minutes of experimenting away from the answer to anyone having the same issue: apparently hoppers suck items faster if they're funnelling down than to the side, so I made both face to the side:)
it works almost perfectly fine, but when u have all low random stuff in it, it won't give enough power to activate the piston which activates the piston to obtain the shulkerbox, is it possible for the disign to add a repeater at the redstone line to make the output stronger?

after testing this in my world i found that if i accidentally put in an empty shulker box, it clogs up the system since the shulker box doesn’t send any signal change to the comparator.. how do i fix this?

My only worry is your loaders are tileable BUT the shulkers aren't guaranteed to drop in the tile area (might enter adjacent hoppers)

it’s actually quite the opposite for bedrock bcus of a bug where composters do not stop hoppers from checking above them for item entities (the reason why they reduce lag on Java). additionally, the amount of lag created by any other simple container (such as furnaces, droppers, etc) is greater than the lag saved from putting it atop the hopper to begin with. Testing within the community has found that the best block to put on top of hoppers is *technically* enderchests, but the more practical and next best option is a solid block.

Is there a way to make the shulker automatically be dispensed when the first one empties?
This is a bit late but you can take a comparator out the hopper out of the top into block, into redstone dust on a block, out that block out a repeater into the dispenser. This sounds complicated but think of a loop.
Edit: to make this stick out one block less but be more expensive. Have an observer look away from the dispenser, have a comparator reading the hopper above, put a target block next to the comparator, with redstone beneath the target block.

I just built an unloader into my sorting system and everything works fine, but one thing. When the unloader is finished the shulker box does not go into the second hopper like its supposed to. Is there a fix for that?
your problem is most likely that you don't have a solid block underneath the piston breaking the shulker. the only way for that piston to be powered is through the signal that is passed through that block from the observer. hope this helps anyone with this issue

why wait and press a button each time a shukler is finished unloading? Is there a way to make the go continuously until their nothing left?

I have an item elevator that I put Shulkers into, then it goes into this device.
Is there a way to have them auto start, not have to press the button each time?
Maybe a slow hopper clock or some sort of clock that will pulse often enough to periodically activate it
watched to totorial a thousand times/ the updated design in the comments and it will only ever fill one shulker the the comparator gets stuck on. not sure if this is my world buggin or a design flaw, ive seen a few other comments abt it but no solution, just can get the loader to work. :(
for some reason at 1.19.60 the shulkerboxes are getting stuck on top of the dispenser on the loader
