In this week's episode Ryan is EYEING a $1000 Bandai Godzilla!! We also meet David's son Conner, our resident Godzilla expert. It doesn't look like Scott wants to back down too much on the price of his Godzilla either! Will Ryan buy it? Will he have something to trade Scott instead?
We also get a look at some rare uni fighters figures, still in box! A Micro Machine Predator and a Micro Machine Aliens. A rare Voltron figure and a few other things. A quick glimpse into the back room where we see a little of the madness that is Toy Federation and maybe even a Sentinel Figure will make an appearance!
Here at Toy Federation we have a lot of regulars and we've got plenty in the back. We are one crazy and lucky vintage toys store!
Godzilla is a pop culture icon and one of the most famous monsters in cinema history. Since the release of the first film in 1954, Godzilla has captured the imagination of fans all over the world. From the classic black-and-white films to the latest Hollywood blockbuster, Godzilla has remained a beloved character for over six decades. This popularity has led to a massive market for Godzilla toys and collectibles, ranging from action figures to posters and beyond.
The history of Godzilla toys can be traced back to the original release of the 1954 film, which spawned a wave of merchandise. The first Godzilla toys were manufactured by Marusan, a Japanese toy company, in 1955. These toys were made from soft vinyl and were hand-painted, making them highly sought after by collectors today. The original Marusan Godzilla toy is now one of the most valuable Godzilla collectibles, with prices ranging from several hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on its condition.
Over the years, other Japanese toy companies, such as Bandai and Takara Tomy, have produced a wide variety of Godzilla toys, from miniature figures to large-scale models. These toys have become increasingly detailed and realistic, featuring a range of articulation and accessories, such as heat rays, atomic breath, and other iconic Godzilla features. Some of the most popular Godzilla toys include Bandai's S.H. MonsterArts line, which offers highly articulated, poseable figures with incredible detail and paintwork.
In addition to Japanese toy manufacturers, American companies have also produced Godzilla toys over the years. In the 1990s, Trendmasters released a line of Godzilla toys based on the 1998 Hollywood film. These toys were notable for their large size and electronic features, such as roaring and light-up eyes. While not as highly regarded as the Japanese-made toys, Trendmasters' Godzilla toys were popular with many fans and are still sought after by collectors.
The popularity of Godzilla toys has only grown over the years, with new releases hitting the market regularly. Fans can now find a wide variety of Godzilla toys from different manufacturers, in various sizes, and at different price points. Some of the most recent and highly sought after Godzilla toys include the NECA figures, which offer highly detailed and realistic sculpts at an affordable price point, and the S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla (2019) figure, which features an incredibly detailed sculpt and paintwork and is highly articulated.
Collecting Godzilla toys has become a passion for many fans of the franchise. From vintage toys to new releases, there is a wide variety of Godzilla toys to choose from, making it an exciting and ever-changing hobby. Some collectors focus on specific eras or iterations of the character, such as the Showa or Heisei series, while others aim to collect every single Godzilla toy ever released. Regardless of the focus, collecting Godzilla toys is a fun and rewarding hobby that allows fans to connect with the franchise on a deeper level.
For many collectors, the hunt for rare and unique Godzilla toys is a large part of the hobby. While many toys are widely available, some are much harder to find and command high prices on the secondary market. Vintage toys, in particular, can be highly sought after and valuable. Some collectors also enjoy customizing or creating their own Godzilla toys, adding unique details or modifications to existing figures.
In addition to toys, there is a wide range of Godzilla collectibles available to fans. Posters, books, and artwork are just a few examples of the many types of collectibles available. Original movie posters from the 1950s and 60s are highly sought after by collectors and can command high prices. Other collectibles, such as trading cards and keychains, offer fans a more affordable way to show their love for the franchise.

@@billsmafia_ A Sentinel is the giant mechanized anti-mutant robot that hunts down every super-freak in the X-Man universe. In the Marvel X-Man story, a Senator passed the Anti-Mutant Bill and a never-ending bunch of gigantic Sentinels were created to attack/kill/capture every single mutant, good or bad. The Sentinels also had the ability to adapt their attacks through advanced A.I. in order to effectively counter every mutant's attack strategy and powers. That is a Sentinel in a nutshell. I guess the action figure version might be something like 3-4 feet tall lol

TMNT, The Real Ghostbusters, He Man, GI Joe, Thundercats, etc. All played with, which is why I think it's cool to have a few of these loose and displayed. I make an exception for some of the McFarlane figures, many of them display so nicely in the box. A few in the package is nice, but if you have more than a few figures displayed in the package it just looks like a collection of boxes, which is lame.
