As a mandolin player I can appreciate the technical prowess of Alon. Together with an intense understanding of Bach - a mesmerizing performance. He makes that mandolin sing. BTW - tuned to 432 Hz which gives it a different tonality.
Picked up my mandolin to play along - and found it in tune with his - 432 Hz. Wonderful to see and hear more music being performed in this frequency - where it should have stayed. Just ask Verdi.
Very beautiful, but the mandolin is not an instrument that projects sound very well. It needs some kind of amplification to make this music truly magnificent.
Wonderful and very well played. You show a few things: you are an outsanding player; Bach sounds always great, no matter what instrument; this is not the favorite music type for your instrument, in my opinion, neverminding the oustanding music you create.
