    You constantly use the word hate and criticism interchangeably, which are arguably different things. You did a big change from what you initially built your platform on, losing them is not surprising.
    Im not condoning bullying or hate, but yeah, associating criticism and hate as the same thing is just intellectually dishonest.

    • @wronskiwhispers
      @wronskiwhispers 14 дней назад +3

      I remember when that all happened and while there were some really shitty comments, a lot of it was criticism worded in a respectful way. She claimed and continues to claim it was hate, abuse, etc.
      What stood out to me was a genuine lack of understanding on her part as to why her main audience would feel jilted when she suddenly abandoned a way of life that she had built her following on. No, she doesn't owe people explanations, but if she truly wanted to stay relevant in this social media sphere, making an attempt to understand why people felt the way they did and truly accept it rather than get defensive would have gone a long way. The whole time she was lambasting people for her not accepting her as she was, while making zero attempt to hold that acceptance for her audience.
      I still see no attempt to own her part and attempt to understand the valid criticism.

    Alyse, i've followed you for over 7 years now. I immediately loved you. I became vegan too. I didn't care that you went carnivore. The one thing i wish you had done better was LISTEN to your audience. There was some hate, but mostly it was people genuinely wanting to get through to you. You didn't hear us... nothing was ever addressed. Had you touched base in videos and said "hey guys i hear everyone saying x, i hear you. What's best for me is y." That would have gone a long way. But you had ZERO response, and people who loved you resorted to yelling, trying to bw heard. It's not about you being a little baby who is so bullied - it's about you not HEARING or ADDRESSING anyone's concerns for years. The bullying didnt happen overnight, your audience turned on you because you had zero authentic engagement with them, blamed them for being bullies, responded to feedback with fake flowery comments and squashing genuine feedback. I'm not proud of the way you handled things, and hopefully you drop the weight of "everyone was so unfair" for your own wellbeing. None of us genuine people who loved you wanted to hurt you, we just wanted to be heard.

    • @alicceeee
      @alicceeee Месяц назад +11

      I think the other part of it was she was censoring and deleting comments like crazy during that time. I don’t fault her because she was just doing what felt right and I’m sure she was extremely overwhelmed, but I think it was frustrating to her viewers bc they were trying to explain why they were upset by her behavior but they were being silenced. meanwhile, she kept putting out videos telling us why people were hating on her, portraying her perception as reality and trying to control the narrative- but it was like she kept missing the point of why people were upset. I know she didn’t mean to, but it also felt like she was trying to gaslight, which is definitely triggering to experience and only fueled the fire.
      I haven’t watched the video yet but I am truly sorry that this affected her so deeply. It seems like she’s doing better though!

    • @alicceeee
      @alicceeee Месяц назад +13

      Pausing the video to add this- I remember one of the BIGGEST issues a lot of viewers wanted to see her take accountability for her was not the switching from vegan to animal diet… they desperately wanted her to take accountability for the disordered eating behaviors and desire to be small, especially considering her huge platform and high likelihood that it played some part in making her sick. it felt like she was telling half truths, blaming the mold and veganism when maybe she should’ve been eating more too.
      even in this video she shows clips of unnatural vegan and abby’s kitchen- from what I remember they weren’t hating at all but providing commentary of her unbalanced vegan diet. when someone is putting out recipe and diet videos on the internet, it’s totally okay for others to look at the content that’s being put out through a critical lens and offer their opinions. I’m pretty sure abby is a registered dietitian and makes those videos through that lens. unnatural vegan is also an advocate for eating a balanced diet, so it makes sense.
      I also saw a dog breeder comment pop up… I mean yeah, that’s an ethical issue that some viewers wanted to bring awareness to. I don’t doubt there were hateful comments, but I wouldn’t write everything off as hate. a lot of people are passionate about ethics and morals and want to bring awareness to the problems with breeding, especially others watching who might not know. again no hate I’m glad Alyse is doing better truly 🫶

    • @alicceeee
      @alicceeee Месяц назад +7

      I think owning up to the eating stuff and desire to be really small would go a long way and truly close out this chapter, and allow for true healing.

      This is a great point already, but to add to what you're saying..
      I remember those few years ago people were upset because Alyse was hiding that she was no longer vegan from the public and was still branding herself as vegan to her audience and selling merch/ retreats, and I've never seen her address this.
      You can't bypass accountability by saying literally everyone, even those with valid points are projecting.
      Alyse still has things to address and I think her relationship with her audience would be stronger if she went about it another way.

    Wow! This was such a helpful mindset shift for me. I have never been in a situation like you as I have never had a platform, but like all humans, I know what it is like to be in states of stress and fear. I loved the “yes, and…” strategy. As humans, it is part of our nature to go into states of stress when we are actually in danger and need to protect ourselves. But…when I am feeling stressed, I am basically never actually in a moment of danger or threat. When I’m feeling overwhelmed or stressed about something coming up in the future , I need to remember to be present and deal with the challenge when it actually happens

    You are a good person alyse. I have been here from the start, I was a bit shocked by the switch from vegan to meat, but I would never put a hurtful comment under someone's video. I understand that some people become nutrient deficient. It works for me. I was also bullied at school. I'm just as sensitive. I could still call myself an empath. Nice video by the way, it's becoming more and more professional. Reminds me of Cristina von dreien.

    Hey, Alyse. I am happy to see that you are doing well physically and emotionally. 😊 Putting yourself out there to share your personal growth journey through life is very brave. You will most likely continue to receive positive and unfortunately negative feedback from people. Fortunately, It sounds as though you have developed good coping skills to overcome the hurt that may come your way. I don't always agree with your lifestyle choices but I have always found some value in what you say and share. I have always appreciated the uplifting messages and advice. I think it's nice to be able to view RUclipsrs lives so we can then implement the things we like into our own. As long as people are not hurting others, the things they do are their own business. By you sharing your life all of these years, you weren't forcing others to live the way you did. There is a difference between subscribers who genuinely care and may want to share constructive criticism and those who are just blatantly rude and harsh. Humans are dynamic and subject to change. Personal growth is inevitable. I hope that wherever you are in life's crazy journey you savor the moments of peace and happiness. Wishing you well and sending my love. 🤍

    Due to the aggression you were met with at the time and your understandable withdrawal from sharing as in depth about your life publicly after that for quite a while, I feel like there were many things about your health journey that we just never found out that I am still curious about! For example, would you be comfortable sharing about if you ever got an official allergy test? I am curious to find out if you did have a mold allergy and also a metal allergy, as some of your worst symptoms started showing up after you started wearing plated rather than sterling silver jewelry.

    Thank you for this video Alyse, I brought me back to the nostalgic self help videos you always made (and still do). I'm incredible thankfull you made another one. I feel like you made part of me more 'awake' again and you touched certain buttons that I feel like: yesss, now i know what to do and how again. I trust that I will come in a nice flow now.
    And besides that,
    I always felt incredible sad for you when those super mean comments and those weird videos ppl made about your diet choices. It was so respectless ☹. I think I watched 2 or so just to see what ppl would say exactly, it made me intensely sad cause I felt so sorry for you! Only thing I could think was like please be a little more respectfull this is her choice. I find it interesting how ppl could've been so hatefull to you.
    Cause you're such a sweet person! ❤
    You did a veryyyy great job of going through this period of time and getting 'okay' or even more then that out of it. You can be proud of yourself beautifull woman 💜💙💚.
    Again, I really enjoyed this video. I've a little vid suggestion (just a suggestion, cause I can understand it might be a sensitive topic). I would personally like to see a video from you about your relationship with food and how that changed over the years and how that is now.
    Yeah that's what I would find super interesting to hear from you.
    Much love,

I think I have a very small capacity so it's important I do small doses of orienting to not get overwhelmed.

      Well...when a person has vlogs then they're exposing their private lives and viewers become invested in their experiences. Never gives anyone the right to bully the other person. I will say the announcement regarding going off veganism could have been handled better--with more sensitivity as to what the possible reactions could be. Especially younger people who don't have a lot of life experience and are vegan and looked up to this young woman. Alyse might have been the reason they became vegan. And now she's not a vegan. It's very confusing! It's all good, though. People need to follow their own path anyway.
