Same! But I started watching since 2016. In low point in my life as a teenage with depression. Her videos gave me a distraction and another pov of life. I didn't know anything about veganism and after a while, I started to became vegetarian! Wanted to be vegan but I didn't had the resources at the time to do it. It's crazy how someone's life can impact yours in a good way
I’ll never fault Alyse for growing and changing. I will, however, fault the people in their 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s for yelling at a 20-something because she didn’t eat only veggies for the rest of her life, lmao. She doesn’t owe y’all 🥰 anything 🥰
I cannot relate to the people who wanted to stone their fallen savior aka… Alyse when she ate meat. It really shows you some people treat veganism like a religion. They were really shocked when a 22 year old didn’t have all the secret codes and answers to life.
My theory is that the real answer was never in veganism itself. It was in the breaking out of the standard mold of life that a young person is expected to adhere to. And, being wildly successful at it.

Wow. This was an honor to watch and take wisdom from. As a fellow RUclips creator who also, strangely enough, went viral for taking out my box braids and got completely turned on by the internet that I thought was “my family” 🥴, I was never was able to return to RUclips in the same way… I so admire the courage to share that part of your journey so openly on here, because you were able to put something into words that I’ve had difficulty expressing. And gosh it feels so comforting not to be alone in my humanity. I’m in my era of quiet… where I simply don’t want to share in the ways I used to. This video gave me hope that maybe someday I can share again, but in a higher and different way. Thank you Alyse. 💜 I can tell this took a lot of time and heart to put together.
I watched you a lot when I started watching Alyse! It was sometime around when you went to china with your boyfriend(now husband I believe) I thought you guys were so cool! I still do. I even climb now and I moved to Appalachia🤡

When I was depressed, suicidal, anemic, anxious, recovering from assault trauma & unsure any of that was every going to change, I found Joe Rogan, then you Alyse. This was 2018 & it was an eye-opening breath of fresh air to know that experiencing the world in an innocent way was safe to do, that feminine didn't need to also mean weak, that change & constant evolution could be a way of life & not a chaotic disaster. Happy birthday lady, you're a real one!
Alyse, I'm proud of you for every step of your journey. You didn't let voices coming from outside to take what really matters from you. At the end of the day it's you in front of yourself, and you did an inspiring job listening to your inner voice despite being tested relentlessly by so much hate and judgement. That's a major lesson and victory, girlie.
I think the hate you get comes from envy that people have towards your resilience and growth despite their best efforts to affect you. In some ways their obsession with you could be seen as a compliment. I hope you always keep seeing your value no matter what. 💗
Oh Alyse, you are such a bright light. I started following you from the beginning and originally resonated with your content because I used to live on the big island and I was a plant based eater. I always supported your journey even when you stopped being vegan. I know you’ve had your ups and downs but I’m so glad that you are still sharing your journey! Been watching since the start, I’m now 24. I became vegan in highschool, I was a vegetarian since 10. Recently pescatarian. I had to learn that the label of what I eat is nobody’s business and as long as I’m feeling healthy and doing what I reasonably can for the environment, I can live with that!
I love this. I’ve followed you loosely since the beginning and seen all of the changes you’ve made and challenges you’ve overcome. I’m coming to the end of my 20s and this video caused me to reflect on how I’ve changed and overcome in that time. I can’t imagine having the courage to go through all of that in front of millions of other people. In my early twenties I really struggled with self esteem issues and self doubt. This was compounded by having undiagnosed and untreated ADHD and being in an 8 year relationship with someone who was very critical of that part of me. I got diagnosed and started pursuing treatment for my ADHD a few years ago and I feel like I blossomed. I’ve been able to manage some of my symptoms, and learn to love and accept the ones that I can’t. I’m not all the way where I want to be yet but now I truly believe that I am capable of anything. For anyone in their late teens or early twenties reading this; it absolutely gets better. The challenges you face will shape you in amazing ways. You will change a lot, but more importantly, you’ll learn how to accept who you are.
Alyse, I’m glad you decided to make and share this video. I am sitting on my couch typing this feeling so thankful for everything I have learned in my twenties. I hope to see more content like this from you in the future!
I feel like we have a lot of life parallels from the sharing a lot to the mold all the way to the mental and physical focuses we've selected to help us feel our best!
Happy Birthday! 30's are awesome, trust me - I think I had just turned 30 when i first discovered your videos, and 34 when I got to meet you on retreat and was always in awe at how this young lady could inspire me so much and show me so much wisdom, I'll be 39 soon and still find your journey and authenticity amazing, you have inspired me to be a better version of myself on many levels, a true light warrior and total badass, it takes courage to keep showing up for yourself like you have and here's to another decade of expansion, peace and adventures 🧚♂🤟💖

I'm French, about your age, and I stumbled across one of your videos in which you presented your morning routine in Hawaii with a natural toothbrush (it made a big impression on me haha). I thought it was weird and funny, but the video as a whole was soothing, authentic and joyful.
I don't know why I remembered this calming video today and set out to find it again.

I started watching you in 2015 and your journey has ironically mirrored my own. I’ve gone through tons of diet changes from vegan to now intuitive eating, moves & relationship shifts. Back and forth with online businesses, mental health struggles & ultimately now, the inner healing. I turned 30 this year as well 🫶🏼 thank you for being a part of my journey all these years 🌸
I have watched you for a decade now, literally growing up alongside you, and it has been such a pleasure to watch all the stages of you Alyse. I am so sorry for all of the hate and bashing you have faced over the years for simply growing and evolving. You did not deserve that at all. You may have changed diets, homes, hobbies, but one thing that has never changed is your sweet contagious smile and spirit.

My friends think I’m weird because I don’t make lists and plan but I’ve never been a person who manages my day by writings lists and planning things out. Planning on paper just frustrates me. I organize in my head.
I’ve always been fascinated by people who plan their lives on paper. I just could not do that. I’ve tried.
I will be turning 60 next month so feeling like I’m pretty happy with just figuring it out as I go

Anyone in your comment sections blaming you for their EDs and what nots needs to get a grip. You are not responsible for how susceptible any of these people are. This is your personal journey. It seems to me that you were so brave for even trying these different life styles that required you to challenge yourself and your comfort. That to me is admirable. I guarantee all those people complaining have done hardly anything for themselves and are dependent on the internet to tell them what to do with themselves. You actually went out there and experienced different types of life styles. That’s actually so cool. Obviously you’ve made mistakes like everyone else. And that’s okay. I cannot begin to know or understand what you’ve been through but I can empathize. I am currently 28 and my 20s so far has been a complete roller coaster and what I’m realizing is THATS WHAT YOUR 20s ARE FOR. Seeing the videos brings me nostalgia and a feeling of full circle. I discovered your channel when I started aligning and developing myself. I sought to surround myself with like-minded people, and all the content revolved around being grounded, respecting the nature of the body, food, and all elements. I stopped for 7 years because life took me in another direction. And now here I am again, since January on this journey once more, and I come across the channel that gave me so much and made me grow. So, just like you, I also followed what my mind was asking for at the time, I changed, came back to myself, and all because we are growing, developing as the world also evolves around us. Life is not linear, and the world is constantly changing, just like us. Thank you for all these years of vulnerable sharing.❤

This sounded like me before I fell into the the loving arms of Jesus. Just seeking and seeking and no matter how much i got or learned it wadnt filling the void i was trying to fill. We aren't meant to carry this life on our shoulders and be it all. God wants to take your worries, burdens, confusion, and weakness. He wants to guide you and fill you with his peace. Girl I'm telling you once you humbly call out for him, you will never look back, and the weight of the world will melt from your shoulders. His yolk is easy and burden is light, his love surpasses all understanding, and you matter to him. Praying that your 30s are filled with Jesus's loved, peace, comfort and healing, none of which anything in this world can provide. Bless you girl, been here since the dread days!

I have been a follower for most of these 10 years and honestly, pat yourself on your back. The power and strength you showed when you changed your diet for your health and showing it to the world is inspiring. I honestly believe many people would have lied online and kept up the persona of a vegan influencer while eating meat in private. You have showed guts and authenticity and that is inspiring!!!

Hey Alyse, I just wanted to say thank you for this video. Very insightful and moving. I began following you back in 2014 and unsubscribed when you went on the carnivore diet. Despite just being vegetarian, I was so committed to the cult mentality that I didn’t really hear what you were saying when you shared how sick you were and how much better you began to feel then. I forget when exactly that even happened but ever since, I’ve checked into your channel a couple times and I’m happy to resubscribe today. Much has changed in my own journey (since I’m… human lol) and I hear you now. Even though I’ve always been a silent viewer, I’m sorry I judged so harshly and I’m happy you’re still here! 🤍

Alyse...words cannot describe how much gratitude I have for you and what you share. I have been here since the start and was also vegan when I watched you at just 14 years old (I am now animal based and also v much into biohacking/natural living) and I saw you beneath all the strength you had to cultivate in the INSANE amounts of judgement you had received. You are truly inspiring and I hope to one day meet you to give you a big hug and tell you in person because you have had a big impact on my life throughout the entire time with the evolution that has taken place. I have been through very similar things - vegan, mold, carnivore, loss of identity, going against society/family/friends perceptions of what should be, burn out, sharing from a place of proving oneself etc etc. Thank you for sharing this, sharing you authentically in the best way you can in each moment.
I am glad this got to be your journey in this lifetime, and you had the freedom to do so much internal and external exploration, focusing on yourself and having brilliantly colourful experiences.
I spent my teens and all of my 20s taking care of a mentally ill parent and elderly, aging grandparents, struggling to find peace, and wishing so badly things could have been different. Now my second year into my 30s, one grandparent is left, requiring 24/7 care, and i am looking at the next decade of still needing to be responsible for that parent. The burnout and depression is real.
I used to watch your earlier videos and live vicariously through the delicious scenery and good vibes. They were a nice escape from the lonely confinement and brightened my day, giving enough of a nudge to get through it.
I have enjoyed following you all these years. It’s so nice to see someone doing something unfamiliar and exciting. I learned a lot from you and through you.
i hope in your 30’s you can finally move away from the eating disorders that have plagued you throughout the past decade, and learn to eat a balanced diet and actually take care of yourself. your body deserves that. your followers deserve to see content like that. you have spent the entire last decade moving back and forth between different restrictive, isolating and unhealthy diets and lifestyles and it’s been very sad to watch. i had to unsubscribe a few years ago because i couldn’t watch it anymore. you will never find happiness in your life if you continue searching for the thing that will ‘fix’ you. it doesn’t exist. hope you can take something good from this comment. i hope your 30’s are wonderful.

I’ve been with you since the beggining girlie.. since I was 15 and you got me into veganism, but the whole natural lifestyle. It’s been a rollercoaster since, but I am so glad I’ve found my way back to your videos and this is absolutely beautiful. It brought me to tears honestly. I’ve been through so much since I was that little girl watching your salad videos.. lost myself in so many ways but life is beautiful how it comes full circle. I admit I was super judgmental towards you when you stopped being vegan at first, but I continued to follow you because I love your personality. Funnily enough, I quit veganism not long after you did - and it completely turned my health around too! Just goes to show we should never judge people if we can help it.
