This anime is a pure comedy on a main stage while deep plot is on a background. Thers no info that is hidden, so as long as your focused youll get all the answers, though there are some basic tropes that make comedy shine more if you know and understand them.
"He said he wanted to be a hero" He didn't really. What he meant was that just like how kids want to be heroes, he wanted to be something too. But it wasn't a being a hero. He wants to be the powerful force that neither the heroes or villains can touch. That works hidden from them and controls events. The most powerful being.
Cid was explaining how they got more members while you were talking about how you wanted to know how they got more members. lol That said, the early parts of the anime do bug me with how much they skip over and only mention in dialogue. And how much they flash forward and backward. Makes things confusing.
Btw manga has many differences to anime adaptation, for example MC was looking like a buffed Hulk in his original world while attending the school thx to all his training (yet he tried not to stand out), so the comedy is more obvious there for sure. But this anime definitely goes hard with sound design (not sure about dub though).
The dub isn't bad, but I'm really disappointed at the voice acting for Cid. In the Japanese version, he changes his voice when he's acting as shadow. MUCH deeper. Basically unrecognizable.
@@WeAreNotEquals I was watching this series with rus dub cuz sound stayed similar to the original, but this eng dub from the first ep was kinda off putting so im not sure. + there was joke in the first ep when MC said that he need more power he did that in funny engrish while talking jap, but in the dub it was just a normal eng phrase.
Episode five will blow your mind 🤣 it’s literally iconic. We can’t spoil what happens.

Yeah that’s why I was confused they kinda just did a quick gloss over a lot of their backstories I wanted to see how each girl got saved

Yeah that makes sense he was training his tail off in episode 1 but I can see the comedy aspect of it

it seems like you only do dubs but I recommend you change to sub the voice acting is so much better.
I do both and some dubs are iconic and some are terrible really depends on the series or voice actors
