Kind of Comedy? More likely Top Tier Comedy, so get your hopes to the sky, and don’t downgrade!

Honestly, you have to try DandaDan. The first episode is the wildest anime episode for a first episode I have ever seen in my entire life. The first 12 episodes really does have everything in it. The voice actor for solo leveling in English is actually one of the characters in that show, but he only appears towards the end. First and foremost, it is a romance. It is thought-provoking. It has comedy. It has action. It is also plain crazy. Honestly, after the first episode, I said to myself, what the hell did I just watch? By episode five I kind of fell in love with this series. It is actually beautifully done. It has everything a must try.

The only people I've seen that don't like this anime were people that didn't know it was trying to be comedic, which is fair since it can be hard to notice that meta comedy sometimes. But I'm glad that you realize it's not all super serious.

Also make sure you turn the music up or your volume. You really are going to want to seize the moment.

This show is so slept on! What makes it really funny is how the world warps itself to his desires and he hasn't realized it yet. The Cult of Diablos didn't exist until he brought it up when alpha first woke up while he was making up a story to tell her in the spot. The funniest part is that he really wants to be theatrical and badass and so the universe is like here is another opportunity to look badass. So every moment that seems like it was by chance was really the world shifting around him.

Two more episodes and an iconic moment will happen. The Almighty will be engraved in your soul. Something you will never forget. You will forever remember shadow.

And this first Episode was in the 4th Book as a Mini review, to his live on earth, so normaly it should play after the end of Season 2, thats the reason many are a bit confused.

Btw manga has many differences to anime adaptation, for example MC was looking like a buffed Hulk in his original world while attending the school thx to all his training (yet he tried not to stand out), so the comedy is more obvious there for sure. But this anime definitely goes hard with sound design (not sure about dub though).

This anime is a pure comedy on a main stage while deep plot is on a background. Thers no info that is hidden, so as long as your focused youll get all the answers, though there are some basic tropes that make comedy shine more if you know and understand them.
