The first and second atomic had a cylinder shape with a hole on top which is why the explosion shot straight up. In this last scene, he redirected his nuke from the city up towards the sky at the last moment, which is why the sky cleared up.

Something I like about this show is that Cid doesn't care if his opponent is a man or a woman, he still hits them. 80% of anime protagonists don't tend to hit women (even if they are villains).

Actually, I think it's more that Iris was too weak to break it to begin with. Even with an Artifact boosting her power, she was nowhere close to shadow. Beatrix however DID slice the crowbar in half by pure skill. That also shows that Beatrix is more powerful than Iris with the Artifact.

The crowbars if I have to guess are just as strong as a regular sword (when mana-infused) and will still break normally if used incorrectly/hit at the right spot. cid and shadow garden uses slimes that have an even higher magic conductivity than mithril blade (slime is at 99%) . When used in combat together with his really dense magical energy, it is nigh indestructible.
it's actually those magic induced slimes, not actual crowbars. Same with his sword... he and many of shadow garden just shape the slimes to clothes/armor/tools/weapons to use. It's also the reason why cid didn't have his sword or crowbar before or when using the other weapon shape. (having a real metal weapon for shadow garden is only a secondary weapon on rare occasion, though cid doesn't have that... as he is the weapon in the first place) Though based on this world's logic, if they actually gave Cid a metal crowbar... his mana density, quantity, and quality could enchanting that crowbar... would pretty much rival an artifact grade ultimate weapon. (like the sanctuary)
I haven't read the manga but the imply here is that Aurora, the Ancient Witch also known as the ancient Demon Diablos, most likely *predates* vampires/is the origin of vampires herself. Beatrix must know about them since she's an elf and pretty old and experienced, but not as old as to know about Aurora herself most likely.

it's actually those magic induced slimes, not actual crowbars. Same with his sword... he and many of shadow garden just shape the slimes to clothes/armor/tools/weapons to use. It's also the reason why cid didn't have his sword or crowbar before or when using the other weapon shape. (having a real metal weapon for shadow garden is only a secondary weapon on rare occasion, though cid doesn't have that... as he is the weapon in the first place)
Though based on this world's logic, if they actually gave Cid a metal crowbar... his mana density, quantity, and quality could enchanting that crowbar... would pretty much rival an artifact grade ultimate weapon. (like the sanctuary)

I haven't read the manga but the imply here is that Aurora, the Ancient Witch also known as the ancient Demon Diablos, most likely *predates* vampires/is the origin of vampires herself. Beatrix must know about them since she's an elf and pretty old and experienced, but not as old as to know about Aurora herself most likely.
