Love both your bands and love the chemistry between you two. As a former drummer and a recovering addict it brings me so much joy to see josh back on top and clean and sober. Thank you Fred for so much great music it means the world to me. Any time I wanna feel nostalgic I put on Where you wanna be and remenise about my formative years. Stay awesome bro I really love watching your vids. I wanna make a shirt that says.. drop shred Fred with the cover of the movie drop dead Fred but with your face lol
I have struggled with opioid and heroin off and on my whole life. Right around the time Josh had to go and get straightened out, I was going through my transformation as well and right around late 2011 early 2012 I felt like we emerged together, and saw the Florida theater , Gainesville,FL, april/may that year and seeing that energy just helped inspire me so fucking much. He wouldn't remember it, but after that show, he burst out of the backdoor ad threw up in the grass. I was standing there alone, no one else around, and he came out on that backporch ready to bombard me with puke... anyway, I was like.. you ok??? And then I just gushed and told him how much I live everything he did.. all the Weerd Science stuff. He thanked me, and went back in and I drove back to Georgia.. I cherish that little nugget..
As someone who has struggled and has been off opioids for 11 years, I've always rooted for Josh. I was thrilled when he got his band back and it's awesome to hear that Terrible Things was a big part of that. Fred, it's been awesome getting to know you with the uptick in video content since the pandemic and Josh, you are killing it man, can't wait for the next Coheed record. Oh and Evagria the Faithful is your groove masterpiece.
I would legit fly out to Pa for a terrible things show. I saw you guys in slc and Talked with you Fred after the gig about your jcm 800 tone. You’ve inspired me musically over the years and I’m getting back into writing after taking a long break. Anyway, I really appreciate what you’re doing for fans. I saw you in TBS a few times and those shows always inspired me.
I'm not calling you out haha, I just wanted you to know I saw this comment and actually, Terrible Things is playing Nov 18th in Philly at Underground Arts. Josh Eppard, Andy Jackson, Brian Weaver and myself. Anybody seeing this, please come out! It's the Color Fred's 15th anniversary show for the Bend to Break album. Gonna be lots of good friends performing. Peace!
I saw that Breaking Pangaea and Coheed tour and it set the stage for the rest of my life. Not even kidding bro. I tell this story like 7 times a year. I'll never forget it. It was Norfolk VA at a pizza shop called Cogans. I had never heard of either band until my friends older brother drove us to the show and we listened on the way there. Seeing you and Claudio front and center in front of like 30 people was one of the best memories I'll ever have. Thank you so much for that, Fred. Seeing Josh that night shaped me completely as a drummer as well, if you're reading this, Josh.
Always my favorite drummer ever. This dudes amazing. Coheed is my favorite band too since sstb. I didnt know he was addicted to opiates. So was i.. anyone struggling look up ANR clinic in florida. Trust me.
I’m fairly newly sober , but definitely the most honest attempt I’ve ever made. I’ve tried to contact Josh just about life but also about taking a lesson or two as I’ve also been a “professional” drummer for many years..but getting back into it after not playing many shows for last 2 years. Anyway thanks for the interview and props to the fellow people in recovery here too! I appreciate your style of interview here and I’ll have to check out your music too man! Peace from Philadelphia ! (Idk if you’re still in PA but , there ya go)
Hey Fred just a short thankyou from a huge Coheed fan in the UK man i miss coheed hopefully they will make it over the pond soon great chat have an awesome Christmas's
I was fortunate enough to see Coheed for free when they christened the Fillmore in NOLA in 2019. All because I was in town for ICP's Juggalo Weekend. What a weekend! -RC
Favorite band. Josh is a legend. Btw I think it's sick that Terrible Things was literally recorded like 45 minutes away from me. Born and raised in Tuscaloosa. (Roll Tide!)
Two of the coolest dudes. I could listen to you guys tell stories for hours. And I was totally planning on commenting that The Color Fred should definitely be on the next SS Neverender cruise before it was brought up!
chill af dude that didn’t let all his talent go to his head that’s what being a true MC is all about
Josh is the most friendly, down-to-Earth, personable guy you could ever meet!
When sstb came on the scene I was in high school and it was such a game changer, groundbreaking band and album

I’m so glad Josh rejoined the band but I’m even more happy that he seems to be so healthy and happy.
This was awesome. I was at that show in Wilkes Barre. Good nostalgia vibes.
It was so cool getting to play on stage with you guys at warp tour vegas 2011 and meeting you. I got to meet my heroes and they did not disappoint.
