We quit the whole TV thing because there was nothing really beneficial for my daughters and I spent too much time watching the news channels. Been doing RUclips, feeling a little better about the use of my time. Then I found you guys. Better than any TV show, by far. And you just moved up to #1 in my favorite channel list. :)
when watching your videos, extraordinary enthusiasm for life, I remember my youth on the island of Borneo as a Dayak people looking for gold in the river ...
A suggestion for when you are rock hounding. Carry a laser pointer to check the translucency of the rocks. I've never seen a family that smiles so much. Appreciate these precious moments. Time has a way of slipping away before you realize it. Great vid.
Don't stop what you doing this is a incredible Channel letting us know where the gold is not is an awesome resource I can't believe I haven't seen this RUclips channel before today you need to get Dan and everybody else to shout out your Channel thank you so much for doing what you do
Hey guys, enjoy watching u guys ur as crazy as I [was] growin up. We moved to Alaska when I was 5 [1958] really makes me homesick plus ya make me laugh (thanks).
Great channel. You all are doing a great job with those girls. I haven’t heard a single gripe out of any. I love their positive attitude toward hard work and adventure. Definitely raising them right!
Jeff??? Does everyone in B. C. pan for gold? Pioneer Pauly pans for candy, Dan Hurd pans for nuggets. You and your family also are on the gold.. Awesome Video again... BTW I found your You Tube Site on Dan Hurds site... WOW! Not easy to get out of that spot!!!
Oh I wish I can click unlimited thumbs up on this valuable comment. This family's relationship is pure gold. We need this kind of role model more and more here in America. The way of life, I mean culture, used to be like that in America but we forgot our rich inheritance. I hope it's not too late.
That is a sun baked and oxidized fraser river rock. There are sections of the fraser where EVERY rock no matter what the underlying rock is looks metallic like that. Can I be Hogan?
I know this is an old vid but I just found your channel recently. You've got quite the adventurous pack of girls they make me laugh but also smile in admiration at times. They certainly seem like they have a can do attitude as long as it's not close to mealtime. It was very cool to have your family out prospecting and making memories. That's what it's all about because if it was about the money you'd of got more gold panning a bottle of goldschlager. Thanks for putting out the videos.
Holy smokes! I’ve never seen anyone else cook steak on a stick! That’s been my go to technique since I was a boy. My wife and I regularly make it our picnic lunch on day trips. It’s excellent.
love your channel. BC became a colony in 1858 because of the gold rush. Vancouver Island was the first colony out here and when gold was discovered in 1857 in the lower Fraser near Yale then Governor Douglas had to establish a colony on the mainland as well, and right away because of a fear of losing the whole region to the Americans. The two colony's amalgamated and British Columbia became a province of Canada in 1871
God bless you and your family I love the way how you treat and teach them I like the way how you aloes make your waif so special , that is the real love thake care, thanks for sharing your video thanks from over sess people.
Great one guys .. luv ya army of gold findin machines .. and ya right hand man .. kinda reminds me of ol mose .. john waynes mate .. and luv all that big sky country ..fabbo in every direction 😁
On the Antrim coast in Ireland I remember finding a complete ammonite fossil covered in what looked like gold. On closer inspection it was just iron pyrites or fools gold. Some of our western mountains have a lot of quartz with occasional gold deposits.
Awesome family adventure video. Thanks for sharing. Subscribed! Your outtakes/wrap up with your straight man brother/friend/relative are hilarious. I hope Dan and Pauly can get together with you and yours some weekend for a collaboration video.
I'm no expert but to me that seems a really high volume of water movin through the highbank? Might explain at 9:50 why that gold flake wasn't tucked in a trap, it got "pressure washed" out instead... Is there a throttle or flow control you could turn down a notch or ten?
What a beautiful family outing. You folks are blessed. Thanks for the awesome video. PS. Love your "straight man". How scared does a tree have to be to get petrified? I laughed my.... well now I can't sit down!
i crossed the Fraser River near the Alberta line with BC in October of 1982 - in an open river boat at night with my 18 month old son (snuggled under the cabin) with Canadian friends - we stayed in the cabin a few weeks, they slaughtered a cow, I made a pumpkin pie from scratch (a squash, flour, butter) for Canadian Thanksgiving, sewed furs to make a Hobbit costume for a friend's party, and canned tomatoes.
Such a fun spot for a day or so panning adventure.nice time with your families and friends. Can anyone tell me where this location is please, much appreciated, thanks.
You are awesome ! all of you. Did you know , Simon Fraser originally called the Fraser river the Cowichan. The Cowichan people had such a strong summer presents at the mouth of the river.
Steak kabobs yummy! Maybe yall can get enough gold to make mama a gold necklace. Togetherness was what counted. The girls all look like mama a natural beauty!! Interesting video! Papa if you want to keep up with the girls energy you might want to watch packing on that beef, and do more gold panning and nugget search with them in place of watching the icebergs go by. It's good for the heart more importantly to live a long life for them. Funny ending as always!
Have you thought of using a metal detector up and down the areas you are panning just to see if there are clusters of gold dust or larger nuggets? Also, you may have to get a smaller sieve to take those small pebbles out. They seem to be filling up your mat holes where the gold is supposed to go. That, along with the really strong flowing water, you may be washing some flakes past.
Was that mat in backwards when you pointed out the gold was not were it should have been? Just a question. I personally don't have any experience. Just thought it could have been a possibility... Enjoyed the video.
Hooray for child labor!!!!! Just kidding! Ya all are great! That water is what? 40 degrees ... Like 3 degree Celsius? I was out with my brand new sluice yesterday on the Applegate river in southern Oregon. Subbed!
To get the gold to lay down in your pan Make sure you use a squirt of dishwasher liquid soap in the pan some gold will float on top of the water as u pan it
Just subbed to your channel. We are down here in SC of the US of A. We do some prospecting and metal detecting. A little coin roll hunting too. Find that gold!
Who was holding the rifle? New subscribers, live in black bear country and never go outside without bear spray, bear horn and a gun. Great family video..
Well, with large quantity of gold that we have....not much....yet. We like to polish the agates in the rock tumbler. Also, agate and steel is a great fire starting combo and we hope to shape some agates for this purpose.
Your life is one perpetual camping trip! Your wife is amazing for putting up with you, thank her every time you wake up!
I gotta tell ya those girls are really impressive they never complain they just get er done. Two thumbs up
The screwdriver Agate got me!! so funny. Great crew, great video , great time! thanks for taking us along! Can't wait for the next one.
Very hard-working job but the smiles of the girls always there.

That's priceless compare to any gold or diamonds in this world
Completely agree!! There's nothing like the love and connection shared in the family, treasure indeed! 😊🌌
Dave's petrified tree joke was a gemstone!

You are my second favorite family.
