Sheffield Resources, positive cash flow around the corner

  • Sheffield Resources own 50% of the world's largest zircon reserve, Thunderbird. The project is in production, with ramp up underway.
    On 27 June 2024 SFX announced progress at the Thunderbird Mine, with highlights including:
    Mine Production: Reached approximately 825,000 tonnes of ore in June 2024.
    Concentrate Production: Achieved 55,000 tonnes of ilmenite and 13,000 tonnes of zircon in June 2024.
    Shipments: Expected to ship a record 90,000 tonnes of concentrate in June 2024.
    Funding: Contributed $7.5 million to KMS for working capital purposes.
    Increased Production: Total ore mined for the June 2024 quarter is expected to be 2,200,000 tonnes, 20% above the 2022 Bankable Feasibility Study estimates.
    Higher Recoveries: The Wet Concentrator Plant (WCP) and Concentrate Upgrade Plant (CUP) have exceeded design recovery rates.
    Record Shipments: June 2024 is set to be a record month, on an annualised basis, the projected June shipments will be close to 1,100,000 tonnes per annum
    Positive Cash Flow: We anticipate generating positive operating cash flows starting from the September 2024 quarter.
