Mining companies in Mexico should pay a percentage of everything they extract to the national treasure like 5 percent of silver, gold, copper, etc. They pay very little in taxes, specialy canadian mining companies.

I’m Mexican and I voted with absolute conviction for Sheinbaum. It was clear for me that she was the best option by far, sharing the same ideological values that made AMLO immensely popular (por el bien de todos, primero los pobres= we all benefit if the poor are the priority) but also a highly intelligent and well prepared academic. As her landslide win demonstrated, the majority of the people here have high hopes on her and are looking forward for her presidency!

I am from Mexico, and I want to confirm that yes, indeed, things in Mexico before Andrés Manuel were very unstable and very corrupt. Once Andrés Manuel became president, he started to get rid of the corruption and all those mechanisms that were siphoning off the money from all Mexicans. What is happening now is that the money is reaching the people. The investments being made are for the people, not just for a few, not for the corrupt. We are very happy that Claudia won, Claudia Sheinbaum, because she is part of the same anti-corruption and pro-honest work movement, work with conscience.
