I think my favorite was the hide behind. It's got a perfect balance of creepy with good humor. I'm also glad you're watching the shorts. Many reactors either skip the shorts entirely or watch them at the end of the series and get confused...especially in regards to the dippers guide to the unexplained.
Agreed, the hide behind was funny but also creepy as well. But I feel like the tooth was creepier than the hide behind, with the giant head thing and everything glitching out? scaryyy i'm happy that im not missing out on the shorts like other reactors. thanks for watching along with me :D
There are specific shorts that feature old man mcgucket (The old man from the junk yard) in puppet form that you should watch RIGHT BEFORE the ending of season 2, as they spoil it a bit this early into the series- I recommend watching it after episode 19.
i didn't know there were seperate Mcgunket shorts as well? I thought it was just Dipper, Mabel, Soos, Scrapbook and the 2 TV spots. I'll try to remember the mcgunket ones before the ending of season 2 :)
Hmmm. Wonder if we'll ever figure out who wrote the journals! Mabel, you just had to insult the all knowing mailbox 😂 Anyways, enjoying watching your reactions to these. I haven't seen any of the shorts in forever!
I hope we do lol, the journals are definitely gonna be important in season 2 👀 and facts, Mabel just had to ruin it 😂 im so glad you're enjoying the reactions, you're awesome Marianne!
im glad you didn't skip the shorts since some things in them come back in season 2, and also 'cause they're so funny edit: and scary, these are scary, man
Of course I did homie :D we are gonna react to everything in this series! i can't believe you're still here on this journey with me lol, thanks so much!
yup, theres a lot of shorts to go through 😂 also oops, thanks for the correction. sadly i already recorded 2 videos mispronouncing it still oops, i feel bad 😭 i'll get it right in future recordings!
6:25 that looks like one of Trevor Henderson's creatures(if you don't know who that is, he's an artist who made a lot of creepypasta monsters like siren head and cartoon cat) My favorites had to be The Tooth and The Mailbox
4:13 - *“Now- Oh, that better be answered in season 2, I swear!”* Well, you're in luck there. It's gonna be a while, but there _is_ an answer coming. 5:04 - *“That's the Gobblewonker guy's son.”* That's correct! Last seen in episode 2, when Old Man McGucket was introduced: it's Young Man McGucket! 6:23 - *“Go, go ,go! Oh, it's **_real!”_* If you remember back to the end of episode 2, there it turned out that there was a _real_ Gobblewonker as well; it wasn't just McGucket's robot. The sounds that the floating head monster makes are, in fact, backwards and they translate to "[You dare] awaken my slumber! Enter my mouth, children! Enter your destiny!" The first words are a guess, since they can't be made out very well, with other sounds drowning them out. 15:22 - *“Oh my god! How did that air on TV?!”* You know, at first I thought that DIsney's S&P department was weirdly arbitrary in what they would and wouldn't let pass - but over the course of the show, I found that they are actually very consistent, if still very weird. It appears that as long as you avoid some irrationally strict but _highly specific_ rules, you can get away with almost anything. Apparently you can show all manners of grisly and horrible fates befalling characters in your show, as long as the victim _isn't human!_ So, beheading, dismemberment, having your face half-melted off, getting eaten alive, and having all your teeth ripped out are _A-OK,_ if it happens to wax figures, manotaurs, and deer. Similarly, plunging a fist inside your own chest cavity and ripping out a spear made of bones is perfectly fine, as long as the spurting blood _isn't red!_ If it's green instead, you're in the clear! And if you want to imply that a twelve-year-old girls has been heavily making out with what appeared to be either a teenager or a zombie at the time, then you can go right ahead with that… as long as you don't use the _specific word_ "hickey". If you replace the word with "smooch-mark" and alter _nothing else_ about the scene, then Disney's S&P has nothing to complain about! 18:49 - *“That was all the DIpper shorts.”* You may have noticed that at the end of each short, there was a strange frame flashing up for a fraction of a second, and it was slightly different each time. As it turned out those six images fit together, forming a larger picture, which also contained two encoded messages. The first message was in the Caesar cypher that had been used several times throughout season 1, and it translated to: "From the first until the last, search the codes of credits past. One means one, so search them all. Welcome to Gravity Falls." This was instructions for decoding the _other_ message, which consisted of a lot of numbers; those were referencing specific letters from the coded messages that appeared in the credits of the season 1 episodes. The second message, when decoded according to those instructions, read: "I was so blind. He lied to me. The darkness is near.", which is a first cryptic hint at one of the mysteries to come in season 2.
1) can't wait for the answer 👀 the journals intrigue me a lot 2) AYEE I REMEMBERED! Young Man Mcgunket haha 3) Wait there was a real gobblewonker? My memory isn't that good lol, I have to go back. Also you're right, the head monster was speaking backwards! What he said is so creepy lol whoa 4) the disney S&P department will always confuse me, no matter how conistent they think they are lol. so many specifics that are allowed depending on the circumstances 😂 5) wtf theres messages even in the shorts?? thanks for decoding it for me lol, i wouldn't have had time for that. I'll be sure to keep that season 2 cryptic hint in my memory 👀 I really appreciate these comments you always leave on my videos man! Im sorry if i don't always reply to them, but i definitely always read them. you're awesome! thanks for the support, and im glad you're enjoying this series!
