Nanowar of Steel is an italian band who makes mostly hilarious music. As you can see, however, they're great musicians and I find their originality almost genial. Unfortunately their lyrics can't be fully understood by non Italian mother tongue speakers as they contain a lot of wordplays and references to italian culture in general. Here are a couple of examples took from this song: at minute 3:06 a sampled "catchphrase" of an old commercial starts playing (Dottor Scotti!). A piece of the refrain says "esta vida loca a mirar la foca asando un salmon" which literally means "this crazy life, looking at the seal and roasting a salmon". However as Italian and Spanish are very similar to each other, there can easily be found a wordplay involving the word "foca" (seal) which is spelled and pronounced the same in Italian but its pronunciation is very similar to an italian bad word: "fica" (literally pussy). The italian expression "looking at the pussy" broadly means "looking at gorgeous girls" in general and "roastin a salmon" can be seen as a hidden sexual reference for saying "having a boner" as a funny italian way to name the penis is "fish".

Nanowar is a comedy heavy metal band from Rome, Italy. Their name is a pun on the metal band Manowar, and represents their tendency to satirize True Metal, the primary focus of their music. Their work mainly aims to make humorous references to and jokes about the genre, often parodying the way in which power metal bands are perceived to take themselves very seriously.
Never heard of them till today hilarious.

Never heard this song, I’m discovering it with you. Norway is the birthplace of Black Metal, hence the makeup and aesthetic, and lyrics referencing bloodthirst and whatnot. The lyrics referencing the church burning are because one of the pioneers of black metal, a man named Varg Vikernes (also referenced in the song) went to prison for burning down a church. It’s a really fun mashup of Reggaeton and Norwegian black metal, lol. Lyrics in English, Norwegian, and Spanish.
If you like this, look up the band Kontrust, particularly the songs “Sock n Doll”, “Bomba”, Hey DJ”, and “Propaganda”.

Fantoft: an ancient Norwegian church (google images "Fantoft stavkirke") that was arsoned in 1992, the main suspect was Varg Vikernes (who is the man behind Norwegian black metal act Burzum)
"Hvis lyset tar oss": A song title by aforementioned Burzum
Ragnarok beach: Not actually a place - "ragnarok" is the norse mythology event akin to the judeo-christian armageddon - the end of days and the final reckoning
"Det som engang var": Burzum song title again
Fenriz: lead artist in norwegian black metal band Darkthrone
Burzum and Darkthrone are considered staple pioneers in the black metal genre, and black metal is incredibly popular in Italy (where this band is from).
    This song is hilarious :)

Also, it's not just metal references, you're still missing a lot if you don't know anything about reggaeton and the culture around it.

Nanowar Of Steel is an Italian parody metal band. The name of the band is a parody of the heavy metal band Manowar, and the "Of Steel" parodies when the band Rhapsody had to change its name for legal reasons and these changed it to "Rhapsody Of Fire". The lyrics of the song are all references to Norwegian culture and stereotyped black metal to the fullest.

I know enough norwegian, spanish to get the lyrics. it's so much funnier when you know. it's puns about metal eliteism and church burnngs in the nae of metal ::)))) and it's funny. you just gotta get the context. As a european I understand most of it due to culture. you pick up a thing or two. you just comprehend basic notions fro languages that you don't actually now. also there's a history between norwegian black metal and church burnings. you just need the context to find the joke
