Wow - I had no idea that so many folks have watched this - I posted it over 7 years ago as a remembrance/tribute to my late husband Craig and our last trip to Alaska together - and pretty much sat without any hits for YEARS! - but now with so many views I added chapters to it and you can just skip to the launch chapter (2:05 )without sitting through the zip line folks getting everyone strapped in. Thanks for watching - p.s. The ' Largest Zip Line' is what they told us at the time - May of 2014
RUclips recommended this video to everyone who watched a single video of Zip Line. Feeling sad to know what happened to your husband, Craig. Lastly, thanks for adding Chapters.
Nice tribute for your husband. Thank you for posting it. Sorry for your loss. The view must have been anazing! I'm not a fan of scary rides but this would be an experience to see it. I hope you're doing well. Greetings from PA. 😀
I am so proud of my home and my relatives who made all this possible for my people,it is an accomplishment to make such leaps and still keep our ways and our land way too go Aunt Joyce ,may creator bless all you do ,keep up the good work
🤔 Yeah, for a minute there I thought this video was taken here in Wilmington Delaware. But then I realized the mountains in ^this video are only about 1/3 the size of Delaware's coastal alpine range. Our zip lines start at 19,000 feet of altitude, and end when you splash into the Sea of New Jersey. 😉
I have been on the worlds long zip line too in Thailand near Chiang Mai. It wasn’t continuous it it car over 5km I think. It had a bunch of platforms through the jungle canopy. This look was more exhilarating!
I don't anything about mountain climbing but your idea sounds great to be used for emergencies. Set them up at different levels. Similar to a ski lift.
Jobs for the local Tlingit Indians, Fantastic!! Great deer hunting out there just beware, lots of Brown Bears in the area. I lived in Southeast Alaska for 10 years, and the state of Alaska for 37 years..
A new feature has been added to the Icy Zip fun...folks can order online the special 'Pugil Stick Special Edition'...participants are encouraged to pummel fellow riders with the pugil sticks and no helmets or chest protectors allowed during the walloping...
How awesome that looks but, uh - Is it me, or do those bearings sound dry.... ? I'd suggest a good repack before they fail and leave someone stuck or worse. Debbie Downer , anyone ? Cheers
Maybe it's due to the shape of the camera lens or the angle but the end of this zipline doesn't look safe at all. If you didn't pull your feet up in time they might've smashed right into the ground, at least that's how it looks.
A little info would be nice, like how long is the zip line and how fast do the riders go. Also, you can edit out the 1st part of the video since nothing happens until half way through.
Helicopter, I was on the maintenance crew when it was being built. So we got to help build it and watch the Heli take the cable up to the top. Was a fun job and lots of good memories working there.
Hello SugarDust, is it possible to contact you regarding this video (i.e. via email)? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible to discuss? :) Cheers, Felix
Beautiful view and scenery but fuck that I can’t imagine if something went wrong on your harness somehow breaks and you fall getting impaled by a tree.

The culture way up north is so unique, and so hardcore. You can’t say enough about those who built those communities, especially those zip lines
We did this zip line also on a royal Caribbean cruise through Alaska
Shut up....nobody cares
Win-Win, tourists get to enjoy the area and locals get jobs.
Looking forward to going again.
@@BillFromTheHill100 you cared enough to comment. Then you go like your own comment.

This is how we get to work in Alaska.
Beautiful view of the water and mountains. Alaska is so scenic.
Actual zipline takeoff at 2:07 if you want to skip to it. Pretty awesome ride!
Thanks

Absolutely love ziplines and this one is huge.
I rode 2 ziplines in Philippines 🇵🇭 between islands 🏝 but this 6 line monster is the best I've seen.
This looks incredible!!

I did this 3 years ago....it was AWESOME!! 😍
Yes it was!
I have been on the worlds long zip line too in Thailand near Chiang Mai. It wasn’t continuous it it car over 5km I think. It had a bunch of platforms through the jungle canopy. This look was more exhilarating!
Scared of heights but would love to do this lol
Largest or the longest zip line?
If I know well, as of 2021 the longest zipline in North America is the Catamount zipline in Upstate NY.
Amazing!! I'd love to try it
Should rig one up on Mt Everest!!
I don't anything about mountain climbing but your idea sounds great to be used for emergencies. Set them up at different levels. Similar to a ski lift.
Would love to visit one day. Cheers from Poland.
Go for it!
That is fricking Amazing 👏 😍
Jobs for the local Tlingit Indians, Fantastic!! Great deer hunting out there just beware, lots of Brown Bears in the area. I lived in Southeast Alaska for 10 years, and the state of Alaska for 37 years..
Hi..do you miss those times where you are now?
*Native Americans
Loved it!!!

Hello there Lacy nice meeting you here
Hello, do I know you? Have we met before?
Cool run
Begins at 2:07
I did the royal gorge zipline. Over 1k feet over canyon.
Now that is awesome!
Isn't that something?! 👍👍👍
Did this in the smokies it was awesome but this is a whole nother level
A new feature has been added to the Icy Zip fun...folks can order online the special 'Pugil Stick Special Edition'...participants are encouraged to pummel fellow riders with the pugil sticks and no helmets or chest protectors allowed during the walloping...
I wanted to do this when I was there but got talked out of it!
I'm afraid of heights, but this looks fun.
Super cool man!! You can totally hear the bearings
Thats the sound the rollers produce on the steel wire rope because of it's twisted strands, producing an uneven surface, totally normal
Would love to try it
How awesome that looks but, uh - Is it me, or do those bearings sound dry.... ? I'd suggest a good repack before they fail and leave someone stuck or worse. Debbie Downer , anyone ? Cheers
They are sealed bearings
Red got the speedy line! ..
Maybe it's due to the shape of the camera lens or the angle but the end of this zipline doesn't look safe at all. If you didn't pull your feet up in time they might've smashed right into the ground, at least that's how it looks.
… good fun but start watching at the 2minute mark!!… nothing happens before then!
I live in Juneau and have taken all my friends that visit there heck of a ride would recommend it to anyone
Where exactly is this located at
Largest of longest?
No Superman option?
Awesome! Bird strike would probably hurt.
A little info would be nice, like how long is the zip line and how fast do the riders go. Also, you can edit out the 1st part of the video since nothing happens until half way through.
Dude, this video has 7 years
How do you go up??
Very cool!
I rode that one in 2017 and it was a blast. The worlds longest I believe, at that time anyway. Lots of grizzly bears up top there.
How do those slow down?
At 1:49 I would've been whimpering, "If you don't pull that release rope, I'll give you my wallet, my car, and a shoe-box full of cocaine."
Espectacular
Were you guys drinking diet double dew?
How did they get the cables in place?
Helicopter, I was on the maintenance crew when it was being built. So we got to help build it and watch the Heli take the cable up to the top. Was a fun job and lots of good memories working there.
This just popped up in my recommended 👌
