great review I am new to the projection world and I was just wanting a cheap one to start out with and something I could take outside to watch on a wall this looks like it might do the job.
Not the brightest projector out their but for the money it's certainly alright - Check out the cheerlux cl760, basically the same but a lot less noise from the fan.
Love to see videos that praise the thing I just spend my hard earned money on, can't wait to get my hands on this thing... Sometimes I buy something and later I see people trashing the thing.. feels bad man.
Was a good cheap projector, however some have reported after a year or 2 it does start degrading in terms of colour - Probably to be expected for the price.
1.5 years, it's "okay". Dust will get into the unit and dirty the screen and mirror inside. Its had 100s of hours of use. There is now a permanent burn mark (darker discolored spot), several blue horizontal lines, discolored black (no longer uniform with blue patches) Was I happy at first? Sure! but if I could go back and spend 800 on a good projector, I would. The reason why there are thousands of great reviews is because most people will give it positive feedback out of the box.
So much thank you for the Review, i think, i will buy this. i look such a long Time for a budget projector, and on gearbest there are soo many, thank you for the help. Subscripted and liked ;)
It would really do you well to test out a few more serious home theater projectors. Starting as low as $500 for the BenQ HT1070 in the USA, it is about 3x as bright, and is full 1080p instead of 1280x800. It can deliver a usable 100"+ image with a fair bit of light in the room, and can pretty easily go to 150"+ in a dark room without any issue or drop off in color or brightness. Then, measure the actual noise from it. A large case should actually include additional muffling to make the projector quiet. Most of the best home theater projectors are very large, and are almost always nearly dead silent because of the proper build. This one is large because it uses a single large LCD panel, which is why they rarely get good focus, and why it has that 'keystone' adjustment, which actually rocks the entire LCD back and forth inside the projector. This model is too noisy, has mediocre resolution, very poor optics, flat out LIES about the light output (think under 1,000 lumens!), and a very weak image compared to a entry level model from a proper manufacturer. It's a great toy, something for the kids to watch a movie on, but it's not something you put into a home theater. It's not something you consider as a serious product when you want an acceptable image on your screen. Usable? This will work. Acceptable? It will not.
Could you tell me what the framerate capability is from this as it is displaying ghosting and judder Also the 3000 lumens is fiction if it were then daylight would be less of an issue, naughtiness on behalf of the manufacturer I think.
Nice video! I was actually thinking of getting one of these too. Ill get the basic version now after watching your video and reading some of the comments. What andriod box would you recomend?
Unpack Snack if you want something cheap and cheerful then the Wechip V8 is excellent. We done a review for it the other day and would say it would compliment this projector really well. Or something like the H96 Pro TV stick, or the Xiaomi Mi box
Are here people that ordered this projector from GB and did not got it still? I'veMade the order on 30 Nov and my order is still processing... and nobody from GB knows when the product will be in stock. Is this a common situation, or its just in my case? ((
Those 3000 lumens are near 400 ANSI Lumens. Lumens of light bulb and projection(ANSI) is quite different. Like using flashlight on phone during night can illiminate whole wall, but useless in daylight.
Iv found 600 ANSI lumens '6000 lumens' to be somewhat usable, such as the Appotronics we have reviewed recently. Really depends on the environment your aiming to use it in, but most projectors will still need a lower light level regardless of lumens to achieve best performance.
Is there a mini projector in this price range that works as well.. Maybe not as noisy... I'm only looking to use it for TV display and to project from phone/laptop.. What's the best for the money?
Only one we like are the Wowoto H8 but are a little bit more expensive but totally quiet, smaller and much better resolution - we have reviews on the channel.

It has no physical zoom, and any 'digital zoom' will lower resolution. You should move it closer, or just get a better projector with actual zoom and you know... quality.
Ram Babu its 1280x800, it cant do any more than that, yes you can run 4k videos but they are just gonna be projected in 1280x800. So no point using 4k footage. 1080p stuff works great, 4k is just gonna put pressure on the device it plays from and not do anything for you on the projected image.
Hi I need to project an image on about 1.7 m diagonal screen from about 2.3 to 2.3 m away. I use a BenqMP610 atm which fits perfectly in about mid zoom. What compatible LED projector has this equivalent rang/size?
The Wowoto projectors we have reviewed should achieve this - Also this GP100 should achieve it roughly as well. We also have a cheerlux cl760 projector review coming up and i can confirm it can do this.
hi sir, for this vivibright gp100 (basic version), may i ask if i can connect my phone (wifi/bleutooth/cable), bluetooth soundbar and wechip tv box.. thankyou very much..
Maybe you can help me with something. My main intended use for this is some gaming... is there notable image lag when you were playing something on it? Through the direct HDMI inputs anyway. That's about my one deciding factor right now.
I have a problem with mine - Whatever I connect through HDMI creates washed out colours. VGA works excellent but my android box doesnt have it. Any help?
Hi, would just like to ask if there's a zoom function for this exact model? I checked the specs and the minimum projection is 60". I really want a 720p native resolution, but my room is constrained to a maximum of 58" projection. Thanks in advance
Hello. Is picture quality better than wowotoH8 ?And if no is it a big difference?Wowoto seems to have a better quality and colors from youtube...but i never saw any of them in person....
The best to get is the BenQ HT1070, which has zoom and is full 1920x1080 resolution. It's about 3x (or more) the brightness of this and can handle a fair bit of light in the room while still giving a quality image. This is just a toy by comparison.
Since this is 1280x800 should I buy a 16:10 screen instead of a 16:9 screen? I want to buy a fixed framed screen but not sure which aspect ratio I should get for this projector so please help!
It is confusing because the resolution is stated as 1280x800 which is indeed 16:10 but then it claims to have a 16x9 mode so that's why I asked earlier. Looks like I'm not getting the projector as soon as indented but let us know how your screen works for you once you get it please.
I bought this online.... Branded as simplebeamer but same hardware....i can't find vivibrights website to download firnware updates... Anyone know where to download firmware updates?
GTA V will be fine but you may find Fifa a little blurry depending on how you set it up and the screen size you go for with the setup. Iv used fifa games with lower RES projectors and it being ok, just depends on your expectations with a projector of this price point.
The first thing that You look for when buying a Projector Is. HOW MUCH IS THE BULB GOING TO COST??. This Is one thing they NEVER tell You. Plus Measure the Room Length to see If You need a Short throw or like this one a Long throw this means how far You can get the Projector back from the Screen. You have been warned.
Raul Salazar It says its got 30,000 hours of life in the 'bulb'. Thats about 8hrs a day for 10yrs... If you only get half that then its still WELL worth the $159 that Gearbest are currently shipping them for! Simples.
I would think the first thing you look for is how good the image quality is since I actually want to enjoy it. Lamp replacements are once every couple of years on a good projector, and typically aren't done on throwaway models like this. Just like you don't swap the LEDs on your television. This projector has no zoom, low resolution, and more like 800 lumens (maybe) than the claimed 3,200 advertised.
Thanks Paul, won’t be wasting my time watching. I am looking for a projector that’s not expensive for my photography work and watching shows off my MacBook Pro (old) and my iPad Pro 10.5 and IPhone6s plus.Any recommendations? 👍 Keywords: Quality but cheap.
Epson has some excellent models and they have a 'clearance' store online you can buy from. They put out an honest 2,000+ lumens (max) or about 1,500 or so lumens once calibrated. Starting at a few hundred dollars they have good image uniformity and contrast with 720p HD resolution, zoom, decent fan noise, and inexpensive replacement lamps which last for years. The Epson can easily fill a 120" to 150" diagonal image in a dark room. Please keep in mind that so much of what you put into a projector depends on what you want to get out of it. So, the reviewed model may be fine for someone who doesn't care about noise level, or deep blacks, color accuracy, actual brightness, good portability, or image uniformity. Just someone who gets excited about a big image in a dark room. But, if your budget allows about $530, then the BenQ HT1070a is a full 1920x1080 projector which can put up an image over 150" diagonal in a dark room, or even a room with some lights on (away from the image) so you can hang out with friends and watch some sports or play a video game. For photography, you are a bit better served by Epson's use of 3-LCD panels as they produce an image with greater saturation. It is worth reading reviews at places like Projector Central or Projector Reviews to get a better handle on this type of purchase. Many good projectors start at just a few hundred dollars. Full HD projectors start at about $500. And, we are starting to see 4K models hit the street at about $1,500. 4K projection has a LONG way to go for quality improvements, but 1080p is very mature and has some phenomenal products out there for the money. Keeping in mind your expectations and desires is what matters most. If you intend to treat this as a portable unit to throw up on a wall, or in non-light controlled spaces, then it's not a home theater setup you are after, but maybe a business type projector you are after. Still, the quality jump and lumen output is an enormous difference from these cheap Chinese imports to the quality units from most known manufacturers.
I've USED DISCOUNT PROJECTORS BEFORE - REGRETTED IT EVERYTIME. Epson IS THE INDUSTRY STANDARD for a reason - the bulbs are reasonably cheap to replace and the lumen rating isn't full of sh#t . I take note that this projector is rated at 3600 lumens on amazon but suddenly loses 400 lumens on the youtube ad at 3200 lumens and then who knows what the brightness really is w/o a verifiable competitor - you'll never see these things side by side with an Epson and that should raise a red flag since the Epson costs 2 and 3X as much.
It seams they do this for credit card payments sometimes, purely for security, pay using paypal and it should go through - check this thread out about someone else with same issue - freaktab.com/forum/advertisers-and-vendor-support-area/gearbest-com/25058-why-are-gearbest-asking-for-photo-attachment-of-your-identity-card-or-passport-or-driving-license-or-credit-card
Thanks. I wonder if this will make you feel ill after awhile? I know in the past 60hz or slower usually did on monitors. This is a projection though so maybe it's different. Have you noticed any nausea or anything after watching for awhile on it?
They say that projectors with a higher HZ rate are better, but Vivi-bright state they use a certain type of light source to prevent this 'not entirely sure what that is' personally iv never had nausea from using them.
I guess for simplicity, it inputs and play videos at 1080p but downsamples to 720p on your wall. Your laptop will even detect it as a 1080p display device... but the projector's lcd is only capable of projecting a 720p screen.
this is hirable projector, colors are very redish and veard, corners are out of focus, and is noisy like old vacum cleaner. my olso came with dust on screan. dont weust your mony on this shit.
This projector is absolutely worst. Picture will focus only in center and edges will remain blurry. Colors are absolutely washed out. These paid reviews totally mislead consumers. Thankfully I purchased mine from Amazon and was able to return it. DO NOT BUY!
MXQ PROJECT I expect you to highlight these flaws in your reviews not rave about how great the picture quality is. Your video was one of the reasons that I bought that projector. Will I trust your reviews again? Probably not.
MXQ PROJECT But your review was not correct. Look at Linustechtips channel. He will absolutely blast a product if its not good - be it from Intel or some small company. My point is that be authentic in your reviews to gain customer trust. It is hard to win but easy to lose.
Mayank Kumar I think the issue here is we genuinely liked the product at the time, but bear in mind this was the first projector we reviewed (with the exception of a tiny portable one) so weren’t very experienced with it as until that point we primarily reviewed tv boxes, I think we have gained a lot of knowledge since then so having seeing many better products we are more inclined to agree with you. But thanks for your input, we do rely on viewers opinions and ideas so that we can offer better informed videos.
I haven't used that particular projector but I see that it has a 1280x800 native resolution and 400 lumens brightness so I imagine it would be more than adequate for use with a PS4

@@MXQPROJECT oh ok... well. This was gonna be kind of a cheap test projector to play around with, so I guess it's not a biggie.

Yeah, we are very impressed by this budget projector
Same from GearBest, paid extra to get it faster innate brave haha
how is the quality?
It's a good projector, worth the money.
Sorry to bother you, but what about the noise ? Do you have to wear earphone to cover it ?
Thank a lot for you answer !
So much thank you for the Review, i think, i will buy this.

Great vid. In your opinion would you buy a VIVIBRIGHT GP100 over an Alfawise X that you previously reviewed?
It would really do you well to test out a few more serious home theater projectors. great vid , can i ask what distance you have it , what size is this ? cheers
Which would be better for Watching movies, and gaming? The Gp100, Alfawise X, or the Cheerlux CL760???
Probably CL760
parece ser um bom projetor, mas, tenho dúvidas se devo ou não comprar...
Are here people that ordered this projector from GB and did not got it still? I'veMade the order on 30 Nov and my order is still processing... and nobody from GB knows when the product will be in stock. Is this a common situation, or its just in my case? ((
It's normal if the item went out of stock, its a popular product so no doubt it wont be to long before they re-stock
Alfawise X (1280 x 800) or ViviBright GP100 (1280 x 800) or SimpleBeamer GP100pro (1980 x 1200) ??
The GP100 and Simple Beamer are identical from what I can see online, wont be 1980 x 1280 resolution.
OK! So, Simple Beamer GP100pro or Alfawise X ?
Also, what is your opinion about CAIWEI projectors?
Not used any CAIWEI projectors - Alfawise X is pretty much same as the GP100 but the one we had, had a less noisy fan.
Is it blur or dark on the edges/sides?
is it brighter than led96+ or bt96 projector?
How many inches should i stretch this projector screen size for best image quality
Probably no more than 60
Hello, did you try this with a surround sound system?
Hi I have the pro model
If I put it at a distance of 4 meters from the wall I lose so much quality?
Those 3000 lumens are near 400 ANSI Lumens. Lumens of light bulb and projection(ANSI) is quite different. Like using flashlight on phone during night can illiminate whole wall, but useless in daylight.
Absolutely, LED bulbs are rated totally different to bulbs rated for ANSI Lumens
3200 lumens not enough for daytime projection??
Not really, would need to have the blind shuts to use it during the day.
What lumen projector should i aim for to get the daytime viewing experience?
Iv found 600 ANSI lumens '6000 lumens' to be somewhat usable, such as the Appotronics we have reviewed recently. Really depends on the environment your aiming to use it in, but most projectors will still need a lower light level regardless of lumens to achieve best performance.
Nice review. Got mine a week ago. I'm so disappointed the corners are blurred. Can anyone help me fix this issue? Tia
Yeah it ain't perfect - But ensuring the projector is dead straight will improve this.
Is there a mini projector in this price range that works as well.. Maybe not as noisy... I'm only looking to use it for TV display and to project from phone/laptop.. What's the best for the money?

not to be shown in the usa where english is spoken.
ed plow what?
I’m in England where proper English is spoken
.. can i replace the bulb after it' s normal usage time ?
Possibly although the bulb rated for 10-20 years
Is there SPDIF output on the menu?
So, can you zoom in and out?
What I mean is if it's 4 meters away does it have to be massive of can you shrink it to 80inches.
Make sense?
michael westgate there’s a digital zoom yeah
MXQ PROJECT how do I access the digital zoom
It has no physical zoom, and any 'digital zoom' will lower resolution. You should move it closer, or just get a better projector with actual zoom and you know... quality.
can GP100 pro play 4k video content???
Ram Babu its 1280x800, it cant do any more than that, yes you can run 4k videos but they are just gonna be projected in 1280x800. So no point using 4k footage. 1080p stuff works great, 4k is just gonna put pressure on the device it plays from and not do anything for you on the projected image.
So glad I watched this I was going to buy the android version but not anymore . Thx
vrizwan yeah best to buy the basic version and use the money saved to buy a decent android tv box to connect to it
MXQ PROJECT I was also looking at the artlii projector currently on Amazon £169 both are good but don't know which to go for
vrizwan I'm not familiar with that projector so couldn't say. I'm assuming they are the same resolution etc?
MXQ PROJECT looks the same . I think. I'm pretty new to the projector business . I will try doing a side by side comparison and see
vrizwan is there a difference? I myself not sure which one to get lol
I think you mean "composite av cable" not RGB cable
Very nice review.
Nick Mitha yeah I did, don’t know why I came out with RGB
Nick Mitha was thinking of RCA and it came out wrong I think
Basic version doesn’t have any wireless connectivity. Will be able to connect your TV box though.
This projector can use for open space , i mean not dark place like open class room?
It will work in light conditions, it just depends on how light the room is.
GOOD LUCK, I RECENTLY BUYED A ANDROID GP100 BUT I CAN NOT SELECT RUclips VIDES AND MOVIES WITH REMOTE CONTROL. HOW DO YOU SELECT THE VIDEOS?
select video file and press last button of remote
80' got it :) what distance would you need for 125 inch screen? cheers again
4-5 metres I should think with this projector
what is the projection size from about 2,7-2,8m? I have to diy projector screen on my self.
2 metres - think was around 70'' from that distance
Maybe you can help me with something. My main intended use for this is some gaming... is there notable image lag when you were playing something on it? Through the direct HDMI inputs anyway.
That's about my one deciding factor right now.
We couldn't notice much if any lag when playing games.
Woot! Thanks for that!
lee perry can u play xbox games without image problem?
I have a problem with mine - Whatever I connect through HDMI creates washed out colours. VGA works excellent but my android box doesnt have it. Any help?
Not sure maybe a damaged HDMI port, maybe get yourself a VGA to HDMI adapter
MXQ PROJECT Already got it, no difference, it is like the picture isnt really smooth, I can see pixelation...
CAN IMAGE BE FLIPPED FOR CEILING MOUNT???? MOUNTING OPTIONS ON BOTTOM OF PROJECTOR?
brandon james yeah it can, can be mounted to the ceiling and image can be flipped
After mounting, can you zoom the picture in and out? Or is it fixed?
Tharindu Don it’s fixed.
Hi, would just like to ask if there's a zoom function for this exact model? I checked the specs and the minimum projection is 60". I really want a 720p native resolution, but my room is constrained to a maximum of 58" projection. Thanks in advance
Theirs no zoom but it won't affect your projection, just need to focus it and it'll be fine.
I have read that there's a zoom function in its settings (software). Is there any?
Hello, between basic and android, the revolution and pixel different or same?
Yeah pretty much
Plz tell me how to switch off android
Hello. Is picture quality better than wowotoH8 ?And if no is it a big difference?Wowoto seems to have a better quality and colors from youtube...but i never saw any of them in person....
H8 is much better
Thanks,so you think that at twice the price H8 is the best option to get atm?
nasos sarikas the H9 is probably the best, we put up a review not long ago for it.
It’s brighter, sharper, better contrast etc.
The best to get is the BenQ HT1070, which has zoom and is full 1920x1080 resolution. It's about 3x (or more) the brightness of this and can handle a fair bit of light in the room while still giving a quality image. This is just a toy by comparison.
can you use this wirelessly?
Not sure what you mean ?
is it the same as gp90 like the picture quality?
high onTech not used the GP90 so can’t compare really
Will it suoort 3D
Since this is 1280x800 should I buy a 16:10 screen instead of a 16:9 screen? I want to buy a fixed framed screen but not sure which aspect ratio I should get for this projector so please help!
FulciLives the ratio is 16:10 yes, so I would go for a 16:10 screen
MXQ PROJECT well I got a 16:9 is that still ok??
It is confusing because the resolution is stated as 1280x800 which is indeed 16:10 but then it claims to have a 16x9 mode so that's why I asked earlier. Looks like I'm not getting the projector as soon as indented but let us know how your screen works for you once you get it please.
FulciLives well I'm getting mines in a month I have a projector I bought at Wal-Mart for $95.23 and it actually works pretty good
FulciLives you can just switch to 16:9, our screen is 16:9 also, its not a big issue
I bought this online.... Branded as simplebeamer but same hardware....i can't find vivibrights website to download firnware updates... Anyone know where to download firmware updates?
dude that is not a vivibright, the same thing happened to me i bought one of amazon and got a simplebeamer wich was horibble in everyway
Tq for showing the different in bright and dark room but you really should state that the 3200 lumen is fake.
Are you not thinking Ansi Lumens ?
That's what i think. The lumen stated is a 'marketing lumen' that have no use at all.
would probably be more like 200-300 ansi
Is this good for playong gta V or fifa 18?? I mean the image of player wouldn't faded up while playing is it clear ??
GTA V will be fine but you may find Fifa a little blurry depending on how you set it up and the screen size you go for with the setup. Iv used fifa games with lower RES projectors and it being ok, just depends on your expectations with a projector of this price point.
MXQ PROJECT can u please suggest me good projector for gaming withen 25000 k as indian rupees please please
What is the power draw at the wall?
90-240 volt power supply with a 200 watt draw according to the manual.
How do you think this compares to the Ben Q th671st?
The price between them is huge but the Ben Q will be the clear winner.
MXQ PROJECT Thanks.
No problem
The first thing that You look for when buying a Projector Is. HOW MUCH IS THE BULB GOING TO COST??. This Is one thing they NEVER tell You. Plus Measure the Room Length to see If You need a Short throw or like this one a Long throw this means how far You can get the Projector back from the Screen. You have been warned.
It's an LED, should last about 30,000 hours
Raul Salazar
It says its got 30,000 hours of life in the 'bulb'.
Keywords: Quality but cheap.
Have you got a new code as the ones you have has expired
Ill take a look to see if they have any
MXQ PROJECT thankyou giving a like and subscribing 👍
I found one for 8% off but the coupons had being used up, they limit the amount of times they can be used - it is GBCPNT may reactivate it tomorrow.
heres one you can use - VIVIGP100
MXQ PROJECT hey this is just for the android version I am looking to purchase the basic
can i use this as tv?
Its a projector, just connect a source and use it however way you want
How bright was the room? My room has windows with mini-blinds which would be closed. Would it work?
Would be fine for your room - Our blinds are open some of the time through parts of the video
I've USED DISCOUNT PROJECTORS BEFORE - REGRETTED IT EVERYTIME. Epson IS THE INDUSTRY STANDARD for a reason - the bulbs are reasonably cheap to replace and the lumen rating isn't full of sh#t . I take note that this projector is rated at 3600 lumens on amazon but suddenly loses 400 lumens on the youtube ad at 3200 lumens and then who knows what the brightness really is w/o a verifiable competitor - you'll never see these things side by side with an Epson and that should raise a red flag since the Epson costs 2 and 3X as much.
does it have image zoom?
no i dont think it did
does it support google chromecast
Android version will, but would only recommend the basic version.
Mine developed a dark spot that contunues to grow. Common.
Was gonna buy from gearbest but they looking passport numbers, tax id's an other personal information any idea why they need all this
Jimmy _Cos we’ve never had to give any of that kind of info before with gearbest...
What is the refresh rate?
I believe it is 60hz
Cool. Thanks again for the info.
It is important to be able to playback the movie frame rate of 24Hz. Otherwise movies will suffer of motion judder and hiccups.
would it work if i plugged my macbook laptop in?
Yes, as long as you have an HDMI adapter.
Connel Angus Rice thanks, and do you know if it can play at 1080p or is it just 720p?
I guess for simplicity, it inputs and play videos at 1080p but downsamples to 720p on your wall.
Your laptop will even detect it as a 1080p display device... but the projector's lcd is only capable of projecting a 720p screen.
Connel Angus Rice thanks for the help!
Ryan Nugent : No problem. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
Can someone tell me how big the screen is from about 2 meters/6.5 ft?
Ákos Nagy it’s about 110 inches at that distance
MXQ PROJECT thanks
Your welcome
how many inches is recommend for 2.42 cm?
Not sure what you mean ?
MXQ PROJECT sorry, I want to say that I have 240 cm (distance) you recommend 100" ?
Probably achieve 60'' or more inches
do you have a Coupon for gp100 android sending to israel?

vishal pal nayak dude what do you expect for a budget projector ... jeezzz do you expect a 4k reso?
Price k hisab se bekar h is se to egate i9 projector that jabki price 7000 h
This projector is absolutely worst. Picture will focus only in center and edges will remain blurry. Colors are absolutely washed out. These paid reviews totally mislead consumers. Thankfully I purchased mine from Amazon and was able to return it. DO NOT BUY!
No, its not perfect but what do you expect for $160 dollars.
MXQ PROJECT I expect you to highlight these flaws in your reviews not rave about how great the picture quality is. Your video was one of the reasons that I bought that projector. Will I trust your reviews again? Probably not.
Mayank Kumar and for the record we were not, under any circumstances, paid to do this review.
Hi! are Pico projectors good for playing ps4 games?
john marcus depends what Projector. The Wowoto H8 would be great for stuff like gaming at 720p
I mean little projectors like aaxa p300,
I haven't used that particular projector but I see that it has a 1280x800 native resolution and 400 lumens brightness so I imagine it would be more than adequate for use with a PS4
