- DOYOKY released their Retro Joy-Con a while back, we reviewed them and compared them to the NYXI wizard and our only major complaint was the lack of hall effect sensing joystick modules.
Now, months later, DOYOKY have released their black versions of the Joy-Con and made a huge improvement... They've added hall effect joysticks!

I want to like this controller, but I got one and the face buttons (particularly the A button) are SO LOUD! It was pretty much impossible to enjoy without having the tv volume at full blast, forget about handheld mode. Otherwise I thought it was a great controller. Are the face buttons on yours super loud?

As a smash player I can say that the controller feels almost identical to the original except for the triggers obviously and yes it is good for smashing.

This may seem like an odd question, but on the back of the box, what does it say the model number for these are? Just wondering as I got a pair myself off of Amazon, and the back or the box says DO309. But the Doyoky website says the model number for these is DO309-2. So im worried I got the wrong set. So yeah, did the box yours came in just say DO309 on the back as well? Or did it say DO309-2? I hope you'll answer this.
I have no clue, I just ordered mine but if I had to guess, you got the original that dont have hall effect, and doyoky only sells the hall effect on their site now, and those have the 2
Looks good but the placement of the back buttons. Could be in a better location. Just mine opinion
Would really like a comparison between these and the Mobapad M6 HD.
I'll wait till they have the original gamecube indigo color to bite. I just love that color too much and I'm already plenty happy with the Alps version to buy this.
I only wish they made gamecube joycons sooner. Imagine these releasing in 2018 or 2019.
