That interviewer saying to James Vowles “We’ll see you in China! Hopefully with 2 cars!” is so brutal it lives in my head rent-free now💀
Or with 4 cars.
Gonna start a petition to promote Max to F0 and leave F1 alone pls
Do you really think he can beat Captain Falcon?

I love how he shows up to Suzuka now 2 years in a row and just SMASHES everyone. But mostly how Perez looked like he was "close"
Nope. Not really.
You're on your own there, pal.
Another good drive for Carlos, doing really well. Happy for Yuki to get a point. And great racing between Oscar and George, that was a proper battle.
Alonso: Operation Carrot dangle success.
Sainz a rien fait de particulier il a suivi

I enjoyed the race but I think my favorite part of it was when max was on the podium and you could hear Penelope yelling "Maxie" and then him smiling.
Who is Penelope?

I heard it too and it was so sweet

if Nando ran Oscar off the road like George did, he would have received a 20 second penalty from Jonny Herbert’ stewardship 😂
Or 30
Russell didn’t run Oscar off the track though and left space.
Plus nothing different from the usual Verstappen divebomb.
@@paperplane-db8qf leaving space is not enough, oscar can't turn the car 90degree in place at that speed.

The gaps where insane, Perez (p2) 11 seconds behind max. Lando (p5) 15 seconds behind Perez. Alonso (p6) 13 seconds behind Lando. Lewis (p9) 5 seconds behind Alonso. Tsunoda (p10) 45 seconds behind Lewis. Bottas (p14) 15 seconds behind Tsunoda. Ocon (p15) 28 seconds behind Tsunoda, Gasly (p16) 6 seconds behind Ocon. Logan (p17) 28 seconds behind Gasly.
We could sum them up in different categories:
Max - p1
Front runners - p2 till p5
Midfield - p6 till p9
GP2 - p10 to p14
Gp3 - p15 & p16

What's ironic about the Stroll radio is that the next engine that team is getting in 2026 is a Honda engine!
Since they actually have time to prepare it now, I doubt it will be horrible like the McLaren one
@@arroe8386its doing ok in the red bull. The merc appears to be the 3rd best slightly behind ferrari and honda. Astons aero is obviously draggy as merc and mclaren are reasonable in a straight line
Bruh look at Honda now and look at McLaren. Which do you think was really the problem?
I'm worried because RBPT snatched all the good Honda racing engineers as well.
The issue with the Aston is Lance. He will single handedly hold the team back in the standings like he did last year.
Lance underachieves, Fernando overachieves….if you would have two decent drivers, in total they would score about the same amount of points for the team.
I guess Stroll should just leave with all his money
In this race the problem was him doing about 12 pit stops
Lance replaced with Drugovich
Danny replaced with Liam
Logan replaced with Mick?
New Kimi need to prove himself in F2 first
If they were smart, they'd snatch up Sainz.
On the lap 1 crash: I trust every professional driver and commentator who repeatedly said that it was a lap 1 racing incident as Ricciardo checked the inside of the corner and didn't expect Albon to be the only person on the track taking that corner outside the racing line. If you need to blame then sure, Ricciardo didn't check before making a move, and I blame that slightly more than Albon taking a bad line but it's lap 1 turn 2, its a clusterfuck and shit happens.
I get that he's had a shocking start to the year but its wild how much people want to focus on Ricciardo being to blame despite every professional I've seen say otherwise. I am an Albon fan deeply disappointed by him getting knocked out lap 1 too, but I'll listen to the pros, just like I listened to Albon when he said the Magnussen incident was a racing incident. For some reason I feel Ricciardo's will be talked about a whole lot more than Magnussen's.
Anthony Davidson called it before seeing all the replays! As he watched more you could tell he started to think it was Dani’s fault yet still didn’t admit it!(you could clearly tell this by his stuttering of speech)
Everyone loves Dani! Seems like a top guy so I’m not surprised these pros cover for someone they get on with.
I expect better with Davidson though as he’s a straight shooter usually.
If that was Max leaving no room for someone he would have been blamed 100% by Sky Sports
Same with sargent, the hate and just saying that both drivers need to be sacked rn is insane
Just an inchident
The drivers can barely see out of the front of these cars let alone behind them. I'm just sick of the inconsistency. Is the driver in front to blame or the driver behind. Make up your mind.
@@WeirdBrickok, you've justified to yourself ignoring 1 professional. Now run me through how you justify Perez, Verstappen, and Chris Medland. I've read that several of the other language broadcasts also refused to blame Ricciardo. Logan: Looks Like a Decent Race
Williams: We'll Screw Up this Pit Stop
Logan: I'll drop it in the Gravel
Someone finally said it, he was doing really good until Williams fucked up the pit stop
Matt doesn't deserve a point for Sargeant, this is just the expectation of Sargeant not a flop.
i agree, it is the Sargeant classic. nothing extra-ordinary.
Nah. At this point, if Logan finishes ANYWHERE OTHER THAN DEAD LAST IN THE FINISHING DRIVERS, it's not a flop at this point. If he finishes dead last, then it's a flop. But literally all he has to do for that point to not be awarded is finish 16th out of 17th, and he didn't.
@@THENAMEISQUICKMAN If his car finishes it is not a flop, if his car finishes without damage that is a win for them.
If he kept it clean, which he actually does most races. Over his 25 races, he's finished 17 (yes that's bad) and this is only his 5th race to be last of the runners. So it is worse than normal. But his normal isn't good. At all. I was excited for him at one point though.
High-pitched, going through puberty Lance on the team radio 🤣🤣
Lance throwing his toys out the pram is always a fun time.
Aston will be really competitive when they're gonna Fire his ass
Listen to it again! He wasn’t being mardy, it actually sounded light hearted!
@@WeirdBrick My ears are still ringing from the voice cracking.
Throwing his toys out the pram was harsh. I had to make it a bit extra.
I truly hope there is a special place in hell for people saying "F1 driver throwing his toys out of the pram", like this isn't a sport driven by adrenaline and precision and athletic performance. So much cringe
@@_-TC Not as cringe as saying a special place in hell.

Sauber celebrating a 5 second pitstop is crazyy😂 They haven’t been under 5 seconds this whole season it’s ridiculous
In the cool-down room, Max brought up the fact Alex must have been in the blind spot. He also noticed that Daniel was checking his left mirrors before the contact with Alex.
i have been looking forwards to this
This is exactly what I need now after whatever that McLaren strategy was, my papaya heart is bleeding
Mclaren today pulled a peak bin8 strat
If you watch Lando's postrace gauntlet of interviews, he drops the odd half-sentence about him, too, wondering what the "$%&"§ that strategy was supposed to be. Poor Lando. One day he'll be on a team that deserves him -.-
@@DWestheim I mean the mMclaren is looking better then the Mercedes and Ferrari's strategies are uhm let's say even more questionable which would only leave Redbull and that team seems happy with Max and Checo for now so there isn't much he can go to
@@ChiIIi... better than Ferrari's strategy this year?? I don't know about that
They shouldve kept him out he was in leclercs drs but no he was fighting russell apparently even tho he had been infront of the Mercedes the whole race and was much closer to the ferraris, it seems as if mclaren are more concerned about protecting from behind than moving up positions
RB actually putting together a good strategy and pit stop and it resulting in Tsunoda's solid drive being rewarded with a point? What sorcery is this?!

On the right just out of the shot there's Godzilla.
That's Yuki.

Loved the comment on Strolls screams “You should try an Alpine then”
12:46 the new cameras are great. They really do convey the speed, all that was missing from the other inboards was the shake of one’s head.
helmet cam was amazing but impractical.
They should put a version of this in the halo upright bar facing forward.
7:54 That character's name is Veruca Salt portrayed by Julie Dawn Cole.
Yes! I thought that but wasn't sure enough to say so. Thank you 😊
Racing incident Danny had a car on his left and Albono was being daring and rather foolish
Funniest thing was the shot of Daniel and then the camera pans out to show Liam
Stroll sounded like he was laughing as he "screamed." I am sure journos are reading more into that radio message.
I would say while Daniel caused the crash, I can't blame him too much because he had to keep track of both Stroll's Aston and Albon's Williams. While Stroll wasn't alongside him, he was definitely close enough that he had to watch out for him and make sure to not turn into him or brake check him, which made him not notice see Albon. The run from T2 to T3 is pretty short and Albon had such good traction out of the corner that I don't think Daniel expected him at all.
Also Daniel's start was bad but if we're going to criticize his start, look at Yuki's too. Yuki fell even harder, even being overtaken by Daniel before outbraking him into T1. Half the reason Albon got as good of a run on him as he did was because he had to avoid crashing into Yuki in T1 as he overtook him which compromised his line into T2.
Daniel has been pretty poor so far this season but this really was a pure racing incident in my eyes, I think people are just really quick to blame him because of his recent poor form.
the lack of comment about yuki's start annoyed me lol...wasnt just him that had a poor launch.
@@ayeeeitskev How is nobody commenting on that? Tsunoda had one of the worst starts I've seen, he was road furniture and is partly culpable for his teammates situation.... the Yuki love is out of control and somewhat confusing...... RB pit crew was responsible for that 10th place as much if not more than Tsunoda.
This is the comment I was looking for! THANKYOU!
Daniel and Yuki had everyone behind them on softs, it was cluster waiting to happen imo. Daniel moving across the track from 2 to 3 was the cause, everyone was all over the RBs so why he expected no one to be there is a mystery...
It’s hard to pass in Suzuka, but it’s clearly a punishing track that tested the drivers, nice to see the cars fly through those highspeed corners, there was a lot of different strategies which shuffled the pack and it was interesting to see who got it right. Good race, 4 stars.
We were kept being told it was hard to pass but all I saw was lots of overtakes. Still confused by the nonsense they talk on TV
@@WeirdBrick well that’s because tires went off a cliff.
I wasn't able to watch the race and found this to be a better summary than F1's own highlight package. Thanks for sharing all the humor!

Williams may just need to change focus on making road-legal F1 cars, so they have enough chassis for the racing.
Bottas being screwed by a pit stop is the new tradition.
6:55 stroll sounded like he had a lady friend in the footwell
What happened to Stroll on the last lap? Went from hunting Yuki to getting passed by a Haas...
Cooked up his soft tires I guess! then locked up maybe?
We call it doing a Stroll
He can’t overtake because of His set up. He has a lot of downforce ..
@Ddevil24 he did some overtakes, went up 4 positions from starting grid. He would've been in the points if his tire strategy were decent.
Just a heads up for Tommy - the winner is called Michaela (as in Mick-A-la)!
If she's Scandi it's Mick-Uh-Eh-La
Always fun!
Been waiting all morning for this
I'm waiting for Max to start going "My tyres are dead" only to go and set the fastest lap.
Also, I love the helmet cam in the race. Just give me side by side of the helmet and the outside broadcast
You do know that Lewis said that because his tyres are in fact dead, and he then pushes as hard as possible to use the tyre up as he'll be coming in to pit. I don't know why people never understood this.
Oh no I understand in laps and push laps. But he'd say that and then set fastest lap and then not pit. So. Yeah.@@joshn1678

Alpine would struggle with pace in F2 this year.
The Sauber pit stops are just hilarious. Even a 4-second pit stop would be light speed for them now.
And then Alpine still manages to get behind them.
Danny Ric's fault but a racing incident.
4:30 - Best meme of all. 😂😂
It has to be on Danny Ric and given the start he had to know they would be popping up around him so it's hard for me to just say.... Oh he was racing. Bro was dropping like a stone and bears the responsibility (and shame) of being the obstacle.
Lol, thank you
Daniel was driving for a seat
Too bad he didn’t realize it was for a seat in the studio …
That Alpine factory video and the Sauber pits !🤣 Still, Albon thought he was on highway, not on Suzuka when he thought that 3 F1 cars have room to race in parallel. Who in the world would have expected the 3rd car in parallel at Suzuka!
This was a very entertaining race. Drama, heroes and just good racing all round.
Stroll: EVERYONE IS SO FAST
Me: maybe youre just shit at corner exit, so you have no speed down the straights?
Because Alonso is making it work.
Oscar was gaining to Alonso through Sector 2 all the time. But when they reached the T14 spoon hairpin towards the long straight and 130R, Alonso would always pull away by 0.3-0.4 seconds.
Do you saw Alonso making overtakes on straight? He only overtakes the Merc i think but they had their own problems
Stroll's car was set up for more downforce than Alonso
I think the team may have loaded him up with way too much downforce. The way his car behaved, it looked like it had too much downforce. Fast and stable through turns but slow across a lap and unable to overtake
@@AndrewGeierMelons for stroll that sucks. But for team that's a positive takeaway. That this downforce setup won't work on tracks like miami, Silverstone, Monza, and Vegas.
