[Ali 'Imran / 3: 85] Allah Almighty says: أفغير دين الله يبغون وله أسلم من في السماوات والأرض طوعا وكرها وإليه يرجعون "So why are they looking for a religion other than the religion of Allah, but what is in the heavens and on the earth submit to Him, (good) willingly or unwillingly, and to Him shall they be returned?" [Ali 'Imran: 83 ] Everything that God has created, in the heavens or in the earth, there must be a purpose and wisdom. It is not solely due only for fun only. Even a mosquito was not created in vain. Allah Ta'ala says, أفحسبتم أنما خلقناكم عبثا وأنكم إلينا لا ترجعون "Did you think that We had created you in play (only), and that you would not return to Us?" (QS. Al Mukminun: 115).

Welcome to a life of peace and tranquility. I consider myself a revert. I was borm into a cultural semi practising muslim family but raised in Australia. I stopped praying when i was about 13. And began living the western lifestyle. I grew bitter and depressed. When i was 24 Allah guided me back to islam . So i began my journey of true islam not cultural Islam and i cannot describe the contenment and peace i feel. Western lifestyle could not offer me anything but depression and chasing desires. Most people in Australia are good easy going people but the problem is the cultural muslims have bad characters and attitudes so the Australians are not able to see the pure Islam for what it is. The mass media is doing an excellent job in portraying islam as a backward evil religion. I truly wish our sincere muslims could do better in the field of daawa to the non muslims of Australia. I understand how you feel truely. I was a born and raised muslim as well but the islam here is not quite like how it shd be. Alhamdulillah allah guided me to realize this when i began to see the true characteristics of muslims that exist outside my country. I consider myself a 1 year old revert. Its definitely very difficult to find real islam in a muslim majority country where the culture overshadows the religion. There is so many bidah and ignorance, i feel like ive been betrayed by my own people. But i cant blame them, this is my life and i am 100% responsible for myself. I dont believe just bcz ur parents are muslims, that makes u a muslim as well. I believe religions and beliefs are not smtg that can be pass down from ur parents, i believe it is smtg that you hv to find out on your own bcz who knows? Maybe ur elderly cd be wrong
